This place scratches every itch for mexican food you could ask for. Queso is on point and although they don't really have real plates but instead baskets with aluminum foil the quality of the food more than makes up for it. The horchata has refills and the street tacos are fantastic. Highly suggest going in and sitting down for a meal.

We stopped here by chance back in September 2018 on our way home from Shawnee wine country. I'm so glad we did. Their tacos Mexicanos are the best! I haven't had much luck with "authentic" Mexican food, let alone tacos since I've moved to Illinois. Their Carne Asada and carnitas are THE BOMB! I give them extra kudos for their creamy beans. Who knew little ol' Centralia had such a gem! If you're in the area or just passing through, so yourself a favor, stop here! I'm a taco snob, and this place definitely has my approval!

Great food reasonable prices and very clean. Well lit and they have outside seating and drive thru. They can probably hold 30 people inside. Very clean restrooms and dining area. Food tacos taquitos and fries this visit where near perfect mild sauce was good but more like an enchilada sauce.

Very good food, fast service, and you can tell it's all homemade. Good music playing in the background.

Everything is awesome particularly the street tacos! I enjoy Jo's nachos as well as macho macho.

Es la comida más mexicana más asquerosa que he probado. No tiene nada rico en el menú (la próxima agrego fotos).

Chicken bowls and chicken cheese and fries are the two things we get. They always give us plenty and the food is good!

This is my new favorite place for lunch when I'm in Centralia for work travels. I've had the fish and chilango tacos and both are yummy.

Great healthy fresh food at a very reasonable price. Grab food there several times a week never disappointed. Centralia best kept secret.

The service the last few times wasn't great, and the food quality varies a lot. For Takeaway they add extra fees that aren't disclosed prior to ordering, and then food portions are about 50% of the restaurant plate at full dine-in price. The last time we tried takeaway was on our way home the week of Valentine's. Even though they were slow when we ordered, we waited over 20m when we got there to pick it up, and the person ringing us up told us twice there's a tip line. We both got the Arroz con Pollo, and it came with chips and salsa, but the salsa container was less than half full and didn't go very far. The dinners came in very small aluminum to-go trays that were maybe 6x10". They had about 1/2" of rice across the bottom and mine had 7 small chicken strips. My husbands had a couple more strips. I can never finish the dish when we dine in, but ate the to go easily. My husband ate his and then started raiding the fridge for something else to eat. Usually we'd eat there every couple weeks, but after Valentine's, we took a little break and dined in again a couple weeks ago. I got the pineapple chicken fajitas, which were fresh, perfectly cooked and really excellent with a generous portion. My husband got the paella, but the meat was really stringy and tough, and the rice was very dry with almost no cheese sauce. The cheese sauce that was there was a weird dark brown, didn't taste good, and made him uncomfortable. When he asked the server about fixing it, he kept shrugging like he didn't understand, then said "kitchen is closed, that is all" and walked away, even though it was only a few minutes after 9, and they were open for almost another hour. (He does speak excellent English, we heard him with other tables.) After that, we sat with empty cups and didn't see him again until he handed us our bill. Over the years we've been pretty happy eating there, and had the occasional hiccup like a forgotten drink or our order getting lost in the kitchen on a busy night, but those things were rare, the staff took care of them quickly, and the food was good. These last two trips were really disappointing, though.

One problem we were aware of leading to their demise was the unresponsive landlord (that's YOU, Joe!), who would not fix a floor drain in their freezer case, so the premises reeked of sewage during the last couple of months they were open. Perfectly understandable reason to call it quits. Check the date on the only other review - it's from 2010. A lot has happened in 15 years. Yelp? What is the problem? When I was in the directory business, we had a service that verified listings. You apparently simply post a business and let it flap in the breeze forever and ever, amen. The least you could do is have a checkbox for "this business is closed" and have a follow-up team make a phone call or two... AND DELETE LISTINGS for establishments that no longer exist. Your service is descending into irrelevance.

They offer a wide variety of dishes with their large menu. Although it can be a little crowded to sit, it gives it a communal feeling and the decorum is very festive and upbeat. While their chicken can be a little tough, the steak is by far the best I have ever ate at a Mexican restaurant.
