Not bad! Very nice people and decent service! I had never eaten Nordic food, so this was a new experience for me. The Onion Herring Smørrebrød was a bit out of my comfort zone, but the Salmon Var Smørrebrød was delicate and good. The main course of plaice fish was surprisingly delicious, because it looked like it was fried into leather, but it wasn't! The wine wasn't great, but we were not expecting much from a cafe-style restaurant. This place really shined on desserts/puddings. They were both unique, not too sweet, and a very pleasant finish to the evening.

On recommendation from my server, I had the chicken Smorrebrod which was incredibly fresh and perfect for spring and summer. The chocolate cake was also delightful and fresh.

FYI the woman at the front said that is common, which is odd because 1pm isn't exactly late for lunch, but anyhow, I ended up ordering the frikadeller (Danish meatballs, potatoes with blue cheese, and salad). It was quite delicious. The salad was especially good as I really loved the quality of the greens and the light dressing. It's a charming restaurant with lots of fun Danish items to purchase- especially if you love black licorice!

We only ever had meatball sandwiches on Saturdays, made from the week's leftovers ... here they come freshly made to order, with a side order of pickled beetroot and thinly sliced cucumber salad. Somehow Jacqueline and Kell managed to condense my childhood memories and re-package them in modern Scandi style. The biggest draw is the rye bread - the only thing expat Germans miss when they live abroad. No wonder the place was packed just one week since opening. Service is as understated and friendly as the surroundings, and I was very happy with the recommendation of mint & licoirice tea. I'll have to come back to sample some snaps ...

Oh well, at least they had the shots available. Speaking of shots, there's 101 shots on the menu! Each one is like a sample of a larger regular cocktail like a Bloody Mary, Old Fashioned, etc. We each had a couple of shots with one of them being their #1 best seller: The Bloodshot (Bloody Mary) and a variety of others. A friend recommended the Yellow Death (banana, tequila, and rum) and I'm glad to report it was not deadly! We had pretty good service but had to bring the bill to the front counter to pay as the waitress was on a smoke break (saw her out front smoking as we left). We were told this place used to be in Stockholm but the relocated it to London awhile back. I would like to return here for the food and more shots one day!
