The class utilizes the Pilates Reformer machines which was very interesting to use as a first timer but I truly enjoyed it. Totally worth it, do yourself a favor and buy a Pilates Reformer package and just try it! Before I tried this studio: I only recently tried Pilates on the reformer while recovering from foot surgery (so I have some special needs as I rebuild muscle and get stronger). I had gone to 4 sessions at 2 other studios before this (in LA and Austin). I was liking how I could immediately start to feel the workouts tone my body, but was on the fence about how mentally engaging and motivating the sessions were (practically the same exact routine all four times), and its too expensive to be on the fence. Then I went to Faye's Art & Soul Yoga. Her classes are always a surprise because she has a slue of exercises and really mixes it up for a great full body work out - the hour flies by. I've only gone a few weeks but I haven't been to the same class twice. She plays motivating music which I found to be joyfully unique. She promotes yoga stretches in between so even though you SWEAR you'll be sore after the workout, you really aren't. And she is super sweet to boot. I wish she could move with me out to Seattle because I don't know how I'm going to find a studio I like as much as Art & Soul Yoga :(

There was some inappropriate language used, including taking the Lord's name in vain, foul language and frequent references to drinking. When I tried to cancel my membership due to not being able to book classes--most of which were full--I was told it was my responsibility to check availability before signing up. I wasn't aware that classes would fill up so quickly and that I would need to book a week or two in advance. My work schedule does not permit me to book out a week or two in advance. I've only managed to attend a few classes. Additionally, some instructors seem unprepared, while others have structured sessions. I also expected the instructors to be in better shape than their students.

Its just too bad I dont like actually touching any of the equipment since it just feels gross to the touch. No one cleans their machines post use and its probably because all there is are these tiny thin wipes that dry out by the time you even make it back to the machine. Invest in some better cleaning system, i wonder how many people have gotten ring worm from this place.

It took over a YEAR to replace the broken multi-hip machine, and now the popular highly-used Cybex Row machine has been out of commision for a month! I have been a member of the Lifetime in Wayne, Pennsylvania for roughly a year and a half and just…read moredecided to cancel my membership. To start with, here are the good things: 1. Nice Equipment 2. Generally nice floor staff 3. Pretty clean 4. Good class selection. The not so good: 1. It is SO expensive and they keep increasing the price, even on existing members. There are also certain things that I assumed were included in the exorbitant membership only to find that they had exorbitant fees of their own. For example: I was wrong to think I could bring a guest to the pool, that would be an additional $50. Unless you use it daily and make use of the amenities (which I did for most of my time) it is very hard to justify. 2. I was initially really excited to belong to Lifetime but had some interactions with staff that left a really bad taste in my mouth. For example: I invited a friend to join me in my workout and was confronted and told training people was not allowed when I demonstrated how to do an exercise. The confrontation was hostile enough that my friend said outright that he would not consider joining the gym to work out with me. 3. It has become very overcrowded to the point that during peak hours it is hard to get floor space, which is a reality for a lot of gyms but still worth noting. For people that really want to workout, you can expect to change your workout to account for a lack of equipment availability. On occasion the only version of a machine has been out of operation for months at a time. 4. There are a lot of ways that the gym feels corporate and focused on a mission of making the most money possible at the expense of member's experience. The 30 day cancellation policy is a final example of opportunistically gouging you because they can rather than just letting you go before the next billing period. In hindsight I regret giving roughly $3800 to Globo Gym when I have had better experiences elsewhere for so much less. I really would not have bothered to write this if they would just let me go but the last ~$180 (prorated) monthly fee is worth it for them. You will meet some nice people at this gym but that is in spite of not because of LifeTime.

My only feedback is that they need to have better yoga and cycling teachers. This means that the teachers should be engaging and supporting; at the very least, smiling at each member and making them feel like they belong in the class. We need the instructors to improve and be more engaging. Like previous Life Time Wayne yoga teachers: Caitlin and Amy. Also, the music can be too loud in the workout floors and in the locker rooms at night. Everyone has earbuds in anyways, so why blast the music?? Looking forward to the improvements.
