2/1/20. Wow!! I was blown awaay by the resort style feeling and just grandeur of the building! I went as a guest with my future daughter in law. She wanted to try spin and I've been spinning for a while. The cycle room was beautiful and packed with bikes that seem to be custom made for the gym. On every bike was a clean towel and there were stations with cleaning fluid and towels to wipe down the bikes. The instructor was very helpful in adjusting our bikes and explaining the function. There's even a screen that displays watts and rpm's. The locker rooms were totally spotless. They provide towels, shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. It's truly spectacular! The indoor hot tub and sauna are contained in the locker room. Beautifully maintained and absolutely spotless. Inside is also a hair salon, a manicure place, and even a healthy food cafe. You could spend hours here. Pampering, health focused and breathtaking are all words I would use to describe the place. I loved it but. . . I think 140$ is steep plus it's not a convenient location at all to where I live. King of Prussia is packed as it is and I don't love fighting the crowds when I do my workout. I loved vIsiting and if I i were closer I would consider a membership because they open at 4AM and have early morning classes.

Women's hot tub

I'm giving two stars because the childcare is exceptional. Children's membership is $50 a month with access to daily classes, parents night out events, and an indoor maze. It's a safe & fun environment and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The gym itself has a wide variety of equipment. However, for $200 a month the locker rooms are disgusting. I don't think it's ever cleaned. Each time I visit it's dirtier than the previous visit. The hot tub in the women's locker room is filthy and smells awful. The sauna is covered in black mold. I also use the Ardmore facility which is spotless and mold free. For the price of membership, the facility should be clean and sanitary. LA Fitness is cleaner than this.

Exercise equipment

I joined here because of the instructors, but now you can't get into classes without being placed on a waitlist ! ( So for almost $200 a month, $300 if you add a family member. Machines are often out of commission, and many members sit on the equipment reading their phones for 5 minutes or " save " a machine, making it harder to get through a circuit for a timely workout. 1 stall in ladies locker room has been out of commission for over 1 month after the toilet overflowed. Roof leaked during a storm & ceiling has not yet been repaired. We received an email from management last year stating they would not oversell the club, so that current members would have a better experience. Doesn't seem to be true, I know of other members complaining that they can't get a spot in classes or on the Pickelball court Is the membership really worth $200 a month ?!

As someone who is consistently lifting, I was expecting so much out of this, especially for a HIGH price point. I only got to check it out for free because my friend was employed there. The gym itself is gorgeous and so clean. My friend showed me around, making sure we avoided people who would try and sell me a membership or even training. As a female who likes to lift heavy, this gym didn't have it for me. The LA fitness down the road, which is $30 a month, has more space on the floor and more equipment than this gym. For $100+ a month, you better give me everything. The second floor, where you can do cardio and lifting is small and crowded. Not crowded with people, with machines. I was doing pull ups and this guy next to me was doing chest flys, I for sure thought at some point he was going to hit me because of how close we were. All the benches and power cages are so close together. I went over to the power cage to go do some dead lifts next. In between both cages is a rack for weights. I had to weight for the guy next to me to finish his set so I could grab some weights because of close everything is. One thing I did like and not all gyms have this is "middle" dumbbells. What I mean is if 15lbs is too light for you, but 20lbs is too heavy, you can use 17.5lbs. As for FREE WEIGHT machines... there's like six of them. As I said before LA Fitness has way more and isn't as crowded. This gym would be so much better if they took the "boot camp" classes up stairs or even into a studio room. They could open up so much more floor by doing that. I only went up to the third floor once and that was when I was being showed around. It was more open up there. Better for people who are into cross fit. They also had turf grass up there, sleds and tire. Would I ever join this gym? Maybe if I had an extra couple hundred lying around, but probably not. I'll just stick to my cheaper gyms that offer me more.

BUT, twice a week, I get my groove on at MOJO FITNESS where we do all those good things for our bodies I mentioned earlier, yet we think we're just having tons of fun at a really great dance club! We are led by Cindy Brauer who is a top-notch instructor/motivator with a fantastic background (read it at http://mojofitness.biz/about-mojo/our-mojo-team/). What's not on her resume is that she moves funkier, jumps higher -- as if suspended in mid air, and smiles wider than anyone in the room! (She is clearly having fun, too!). To sum it up, MOJO FITNESS is the best thing that has happened to me and FOR me health-wise and happiness-wise in a long time. And I believe many fellow Mojo-ers would join me in that sentiment!

I would like to preface this review by saying that this was my very first experience with crossfit…read more I knew very little about crossfit, what it entailed, how much physical and mental determination it would require. I initially chose CFVF because it was convenient to work. The "box" is located inside of the Aspiring Champions complex in KOP. I've been attending CFVF for almost a year now and this has been the best experience of my life. I attend classes 4 days a week and the changes I have experience over the past year have surpassed my expectations. The coaches are ALL amazing! They are friendly and extremely knowledgeable. They exemplify what it means to be leaders. The guys are great and they know there shit! With that said, they maintain a light-hearted, encouraging atmosphere, even when the workouts are kicking my ass! The other patrons of the gym are also very nice and welcoming. There is an amazing sense of comaraderie that you don't find in other fitness facilities. I attend class in the early AM and it is never too crowded. The small class size makes it feel as if you have a personal trainer. If you are considering crossfit and have access to CFVF, I would highly recommend trying them out. Again, I chose this particular gym because it was convenient to work, but I can tell you that if I ever left my job in KOP, I would still attend CFVF, eventhough I live in center city. Yes..I said it. I would still go out of my way to attend CFVF even with the horrendous traffic on 76!

Having been to 6-7 boxes, I've learned that coaches make or break the box. The coaches knew what they were talking about and were able to explain the movement mechanics well. They really focused on form and technique which is extremely important to me. The members of the box were also super friendly. Honestly, the box felt like my home box (Crossfit Central Houston) - that's how comfortable they made me feel. During my 2 weeks at CFVF, I got my first pistol, PR'ed my 5RM OHS, and climbed my first rope. I don't know if it was something in the water over there or what, but it was a solid 2 weeks of firsts. I can't wait to go back to CFVF the next time I'm in the KoP area.

After 90 days of visiting this studio regularly, I decided that this wasn't the place for me. It was a tough choice. I slept on it for many weeks. See below for cons and pros. Cons...let's get the poopy stuff out of the way first --Steep pricing; I chose the monthly unlimited for $145. Classes are not cheap here, but neither is the quality of instructors. It's the age old conundrum of you get what you pay for. --Very cliquey: The other clientele do not tend to be overtly friendly to newcomers. This studio also attracts some very experienced, intense yogis. Sometimes these folks are a lil too intense a.k.a. they take themselves a little too seriously. This might just be a me thing though; I need a studio where the emphasis is more on human connection and joy than on entering a contest of wills to see who can breathe the loudest and be the most detached. --Limited access to instructors: the instructors typically enter the studio right before class and beat feet immediately after Savasana wraps, which makes it hard to build a rapport with these amazing instructors and, above all, who doesn't want to build a rapport with one's yoga instructor? --Awkward encounter: Speaking of Savasana, I inadvertently walked in on a class that was running a little bit late. Totally accidental but so not a huge deal as I was being pin-drop quiet. The instructor at the other end of the room emphatically waved her arms at me -- I suppose the equivalent of yelling with hands -- and gestured very demonstratively towards the door. I slinked out of the room. The lady apologized later, but she totally over-reacted. Her arm waving made more noise than did my footsteps. And besides, I exit and enter the studio at least once during each class to pee. Sometimes even during Savasana. I never get waved away. Probably because I'm being visibly respectful and audibly noiseless. Not sure why this particular instructor was so offended. --I wish the studio floors were a little cleaner, but by no means were they disgusting. Pros...and there are many! --Instruction: These instructors give amazing instruction. I went to a variety of classes, and I was always blown away by how methodical, detail oriented, and knowledgeable these instructors are. A few of these instructors embrace a more spiritual mindset rather than physical exertion. I really enjoyed the spiritual overtures. It made for a more connected, joyful practice. I loved whenever the instructors would give a brief summary of a passage from the owner's book. Put good vibes in the air. --The owner: The owner is exceedingly friendly and exceedingly accessible. I wish the many knowledgeable instructors at YogaLife would take a page from his book since they read from it so frequently -- especially the oddly aloof cadre of students who are working towards certification. --The receptionist: One of the receptionists -- a younger woman -- was always super welcoming, warm, and extremely pleasant. I loved interacting with her! She has a very inclusive mindset, which I found very inviting. I found many of the other receptionists to be polite and courteous as well. --Variety of classes: This facility boasts two massive studios in which many different offerings are available throughout any given day. Variety of levels offered here is also a huge plus. --Location Location Location: Conveniently located off of major thoroughfares. --Peaceful environment: Although located off of major thoroughfares, both studios are calm, peaceful, and conducive to relaxation. --This studio offers really neat seminars. I never attended any due to scheduling conflicts, but I was intrigued nonetheless! --Amenities: There are massage therapists, acupuncturists, and therapists/social workers who meet with clientele on-site, which is dope AF! I never had a chance to use any of these services, so I can't speak to the quality. I've also never seen most of these services collocated with a yoga studio, but this combo makes perfect sense!
