Love Life Time. It's my safe haven for an enjoyable, rewarding time with my community that I now…read morecall my friends! The staff who take care of the building are diligent and helpful. My only feedback is that they need to have better yoga and cycling teachers. This means that the teachers should be engaging and supporting; at the very least, smiling at each member and making them feel like they belong in the class. We need the instructors to improve and be more engaging. Like previous Life Time Wayne yoga teachers: Caitlin and Amy. Also, the music can be too loud in the workout floors and in the locker rooms at night. Everyone has earbuds in anyways, so why blast the music?? Looking forward to the improvements.

I have been a member of the Lifetime in Wayne, Pennsylvania for roughly a year and a half and just…read moredecided to cancel my membership. To start with, here are the good things: 1. Nice Equipment 2. Generally nice floor staff 3. Pretty clean 4. Good class selection. The not so good: 1. It is SO expensive and they keep increasing the price, even on existing members. There are also certain things that I assumed were included in the exorbitant membership only to find that they had exorbitant fees of their own. For example: I was wrong to think I could bring a guest to the pool, that would be an additional $50. Unless you use it daily and make use of the amenities (which I did for most of my time) it is very hard to justify. 2. I was initially really excited to belong to Lifetime but had some interactions with staff that left a really bad taste in my mouth. For example: I invited a friend to join me in my workout and was confronted and told training people was not allowed when I demonstrated how to do an exercise. The confrontation was hostile enough that my friend said outright that he would not consider joining the gym to work out with me. 3. It has become very overcrowded to the point that during peak hours it is hard to get floor space, which is a reality for a lot of gyms but still worth noting. For people that really want to workout, you can expect to change your workout to account for a lack of equipment availability. On occasion the only version of a machine has been out of operation for months at a time. 4. There are a lot of ways that the gym feels corporate and focused on a mission of making the most money possible at the expense of member's experience. The 30 day cancellation policy is a final example of opportunistically gouging you because they can rather than just letting you go before the next billing period. In hindsight I regret giving roughly $3800 to Globo Gym when I have had better experiences elsewhere for so much less. I really would not have bothered to write this if they would just let me go but the last ~$180 (prorated) monthly fee is worth it for them. You will meet some nice people at this gym but that is in spite of not because of LifeTime.

Saw the coach walk in 15 minutes later with Whole Foods! So unprofessional and the girls up front were very dismissive and rude and told us they couldn't take us (mind you we were the first ones here and the trainer wasn't even in the studio bc he was on a Whole Foods run!) After later speaking with the store manager Brittany, she thanked us for informing her about the situation, Immediate red flag because the situation wasn't ever told to her by her employees until we spoke with her on the phone 3 hours later. The manager also suggested we try another OT location (ironically she listed all locations within a closer radius of the city...) I'm glad I went to the SOULCYCLE in Ardmore after this experience, because I will never be returning or spend any dollar on an organization that DOES NOT OFFER AN INCLUSIVE AND SAFE SPACE FOR MINORITIES. Soul cycle was an amazing and personable experience, and the staff were so professional and truly made you feel welcome! I also will be reaching out to corporate and leaving also additional update on what the company's policy is concerning diversity, equity, and inclusion. It's 2023 do better Orangetheory.

At the same time, do you need to burn off stress, work up a sweat, get good cardio, tone that body and just plain old have the best time doing so? BUT, twice a week, I get my groove on at MOJO FITNESS where we do all those good things for our bodies I mentioned earlier, yet we think we're just having tons of fun at a really great dance club! We are led by Cindy Brauer who is a top-notch instructor/motivator with a fantastic background (read it at http://mojofitness.biz/about-mojo/our-mojo-team/). What's not on her resume is that she moves funkier, jumps higher -- as if suspended in mid air, and smiles wider than anyone in the room! (She is clearly having fun, too!). To sum it up, MOJO FITNESS is the best thing that has happened to me and FOR me health-wise and happiness-wise in a long time. And I believe many fellow Mojo-ers would join me in that sentiment!

I also enjoyed how they don't try to sell packages and slide them down your throat. I usually avoid places like that or any salesy personnel. I had been recovering from a herniated disc that also led to the discovery of mild scoliosis, which is not abnormal for older women, in particular. I took all of these issues to LSF and was rewarded with excellent knowledge and experience helping others like myself work back to a strong, flexible body. While I don't always love it, every instructor has been on me for positioning and form, which is key to not getting reinjured. As a pilates newbie, it's been helpful and I do not exaggerate when I say that I have been mostly pain-free since starting. My only struggle is with signing up for classes. Because they fill up very quickly, it is hard to budget because you need to sign up for a lot of classes in advance, which means you have to pay for a lot of classes at once. (They're certainly worth it and priced fairly.) I have had success with the waiting list, however, and there was only one time I did not get into the class. The silver lining of all this is that clearly people think highly of the classes/instructors and want to get in! I also appreciate that the owner/staff "hear" clients and try to make class policy changes that are sensible and not just penal. It's not easy running a small fitness business, so just them being there as a resource is terrific. They play great music, everyone is super friendly and down-to-earth, and the studio is cute. Thrilled to be an LSF'r and look forward to a pain-free spring and summer unlike last year! Thanks, LSF!
