TL;DR: Fast service, honest work, and affordable, as advertised. Highly recommend. After a pretty terrible and disheartening experience at another shop that I opted not to work with, I drove to Ek A Nee Affordable Auto Services less than 90 minutes before their closing time without calling first. I was directed to park, and the shop owner directed me to a waiting area and let me know he had 2 cars in front of me and gave me a wait time estimate. In less time than predicted, he returned and kindly took my key to bring the car in himself (I was doing some work on my laptop) and proceeded to get to work on my car, which I told him needed an alignment after an unfortunate brush with a curb that, I swear, suddenly appeared out of nowhere. During the work he called me over and explained that he had reached a decision point in how to move forward and asked me what I wanted to do. I note this because one of the options he gave me was to essentially leave to have work done elsewhere, and would have resulted in him not receiving my business (or payment) that day. I was really appreciative of his honesty; he had already put time and effort into working on my car and was giving me the option of leaving without him being compensated for this. This is the type of integrity I look for from a mechanic. He explained the issue clearly, and I didn't feel pressured into making a decision, though ultimately did decide to have him finish the realignment. He quickly finished and I was charged $60 (plus a few bucks in tax) for my mid-size Jeep SUV, as advertised on his signs and was able to pay with Apple Pay. I am happy with my decision to have him finish the work, as there was an immediate difference to driving the car and it was no longer pulling to one side afterwards. If I have another dust up with any more wild curbs, I will certainly be returning. read more

The window switch purchased at Driven Autorepair was under warranty and the manager wouldn't give me a refund on the defective part. I was the part could only replaced. Advising potential customers of their policy and you have no choice other than to use their services when a part is under warranty. The manager would not take fiscal responsibility for the potential faulty part they purchased and/or the potential faulty installation they provided on my car. I lost over $800 dollars trusting the integrity of the services provided by this company. Buyer Beware!

They said (1) they don't do rear alignments on Toyotas (???), (2) the car has unspecified issues that don't allow it to be aligned, (3) they would need additional payment to do the steering wheel correction. When I pressed them on what the issues were, they refused to commit to anything. Nothing was written down. Truly baffling that these people are running a real shop. I asked to talk to the alignment tech and they said he can't speak English. So how can he understand anything? Is he just guessing? I also requested help removing a previous owner's user profile from the media unit. After keeping my truck all day, I picked it up just before 6 PM. The invoice shows the only action taken on the rattle was "unable to duplicate customer concern." No diagnostics or repair attempts were documented, and the infotainment issue was not addressed. More concerning, the invoice shows that 0W-16 oil was installed, even though this Tacoma has a turbocharged engine that requires 0W-20 oil. Using incorrect oil viscosity on a turbocharged engine raises legitimate concerns about lubrication and heat protection. The only service actually performed was an oil change already included under ToyotaCare, and it was done incorrectly. I'm disappointed that after an all-day visit, none of the concerns were resolved and the vehicle was returned with an oil specification issue.
