Needed some concrete work redone around my swimming pool. Looked on YELP and found Sergio's…read moreConcrete Work. Sergio was very busy but was able to come out on a Sunday to look at the project and then sent a bid through email. I found his price to be very competitive and he understood the work we needed done. He and his crew came out and did the project in 1 day. It was a small project so it was done in 1 day, we paid at the end of the day after the project was done. They hauled and disposed of the old concrete matter. The crew was well mannered. They cleaned up the area well when they finished the project. We were happy with the work and we do recommend him.

Sergio came our, quoted the job and told us about his business and after comparing the quotes we realized that Sergios was very competitive. So we hired him and his team. They came out and in one day did all the concrete work that we needed by concreting, where two stalls were in our barn, concreted, the lean too attached to our barn for us to store our tractor and also put in a concrete pad for a propane tank. Sergio was very communicative. He understood what we wanted. His crew was respectful of our property and cleaned up after themselves. After they completed the job, Sergio hauled away the old concrete that they had to tear out. I will definitely refer him to anybody that I know. And we will use him again in the future.

Craftsman Masonry did an AMAZING job fixing the bricks as if they had never been cracked. They also rebuilt the back of the fireplace as well as several other details in the fireplace that needed to be fixed. From start to finish, they were extremely kind and professional. The work they did looks incredible.

Folks, Below is the email transaction that was exchanged after a phone call from Mr Neal. Stay away…read morefrom this fast talking jerk. Mr. Neal, Wow, was not expecting that from a local business owner. As a reminder of how our discussion over the phone went, I did not refuse to pay you the seventy five dollars. My intent was to review my notes and discuss your request with my wife to verify that there was not a misunderstanding on my part. I have reviewed my notes and it is clear that you noted that there would be a charge for the estimate. Although I do not feel like I owe you an explanation following your insult below, the confusion was in my understanding of "estimate". I intend to pay you the money owed to you and considering we now have escalated our relationship to a friendship where we provide each other advice, I advise the following: Rather than continually talking over your customer, you should pay attention and work on your listening skills. I also recommend that you take a deep breath before making knee jerk responses to avoid losing referrals and looking like an ass. Before you make your next knee jerk mistake, I would recommend that you do not cry to "your friends at Dow" to avoid further embarrassment. I will put your check in the mail and please feel free to stop by sometime should you feel the need to discuss further. Face to face works better for me. Regards, Mr. Landry -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: "James Neal" neal4667@sbcglobal.net To: ankledeep@comcast.net Sent: Thursday, January 8, 2015 11:53:50 AM Subject: Estimate Fee Mr. Landry, I clearly explained to you that I charged for estimates. This charge is for me coming out for my time. This separates the people that are serious and not serious. Now that you and your wife have determined that this projest is not feasible, you are wanting to deny my agreed upon estimate fee. My suggestion is that you take the $75.00 that you beat me out of and use it for some character building lessons. Can't wait to tell my friends that work at Dow how you treated me. Have a nice day James Neal Craftsman Masonry, Inc. 2215 Clark Dr. LaMarque, TX 77568 409-935-2060 Craftsman Masonry Inc. Masonry 0 likes

I would give this company zero stars if I could. Do not do business with Paradise Palapas or…read moreParadise Outdoors. The company changes their name, but they are the palapa company located off of I-45 in La Marque. This is not an honest company and they do not stand by their work. Thomas, with Paradise Palapas donated a $2000 gift card for a silent auction to a PTO at a nearby elementary school. I was the silent auction winner of the gift card. I visited the business and met with Thomas who allowed me to upgrade my purchase to a $5000 palapa with a $2000 credit towards it since I had the gift card. Thomas was scheduled to come out to look at our backyard, but he never showed up. No calls, no emails, no follow-up. He ignored my calls so I had to send him a facebook message. He did respond at one point and apologized for the missed appointment. We rescheduled, but he again never answered my calls. I sent messages again through Facebook, but he ignored those. I ended up calling him from an anonymous number and he FINALLY answered. He informed me that he "no longer works at that company" so my gift card could not be honored. He told me to try and call the number listed on the website, but that number only goes straight to voicemail. I was under the impression from my initial visit that Thomas was the owner of the company, but he now acts like he isn't the owner. I looked up the company and noticed over the years they have had several tax liens against their business from the state of Texas so that tells me what kind of individuals they are. I think it is really bad that they would do this to a PTO organization and an elementary school, money that should be used for children. Galveston County records show the company was established in November of 2011 under the owner name of Samuel Jeffords III. Thomas Jeffords was the individual I spoke with. The BBB online shows the company was established in November 2012 under the owner name of Mr. Josh David Jeffords. In looking at Galveston County records, Joshua Jeffords and Samuel Jeffords have opened and closed several businesses over the years (Clear Choice Contractors and The Cedar Connection). The Galveston County database also shows that many of these individuals have also had child support liens and federal tax liens against them. Just another reason to be concerned with doing any business with these individuals.
