He and his crew came out and did the project in 1 day. It was a small project so it was done in 1 day, we paid at the end of the day after the project was done. They hauled and disposed of the old concrete matter. The crew was well mannered. They cleaned up the area well when they finished the project. We were happy with the work and we do recommend him.

They came out and in one day did all the concrete work that we needed by concreting, where two stalls were in our barn, concreted, the lean too attached to our barn for us to store our tractor and also put in a concrete pad for a propane tank. Sergio was very communicative. He understood what we wanted.His crew was respectful of our property and cleaned up after themselves. I didn't even look at it again for a week. (New build house, no sod in back yet, no reason to go back there until patio was set.) At 7 days I noticed that the patio looked terrible in several spots. Bubbling all along the house. Different colored concrete in spots where it looks sort of speckled and veiny. Sunken spots or divots in several spots. I texted Junior right away and sent him pictures. We spoke a couple times and he told me that it probably got too hot or the batch of concrete was bad. Promised that he would fix it. He has yet to actually even come an take a look at it. I have texted him several times since we spoke and have not gotten any acknowledgement. Apparently I'm going to have to call someone else to come and fix it. So disappointing.

From top to bottom, these guys are amazing…read more I'd received a pretty obnoxious quote for a covered patio and kitchen so did a little bit of price shopping. Of the 6 quotes I got, Jacob at Your Texas Patio blew them all away (he beat the obnoxious one by nearly $50,000 for basically the exact same project). I generally don't go for the cheapest option, but after the initial conversations he had me convinced that he knew what he was doing. So, I dove right in. As soon as they had the go ahead, work was underway. Angel led the way on the construction end and was out there every day (often including the weekends) doing everything from tearing out the side of the house to connect the structure, putting down posts, framing the roof, painting, etc. A real construction stud. In no time the project was complete and I'm extremely happy with the finished project (which beat our target date by about 2 weeks). Sure, there were some snags along the way. I had some plumbing issues that needed to be addressed (1960s house with original sewage lines), a sprinkler than was inadvertently damaged and the need to run a gas line from the other side of the house. Jacob fixed anything that needed to be fixed immediately, and if there was something outside the scope of the project he had someone out there for me to consult with on the same day (I couldn't even get my longtime plumber or audio guys out within two weeks). If I had a tweak to design or a minor addition, it was done. If I had questions on the project at 11pm after a few whiskeys or on a weekend at 7am on my way to a soccer game, it was answered. Sure, he looks like a kid, but he knows what he's doing. I'll be using them on my next projects and you probably should, too.

The price of the concrete was a fair price but I decided to go with another company because of the time frame I needed. Perhaps next project I can use this company.

The company changes their name, but they are the palapa company located off of I-45 in La Marque. This is not an honest company and they do not stand by their work. Thomas, with Paradise Palapas donated a $2000 gift card for a silent auction to a PTO at a nearby elementary school. I was the silent auction winner of the gift card. I visited the business and met with Thomas who allowed me to upgrade my purchase to a $5000 palapa with a $2000 credit towards it since I had the gift card. Thomas was scheduled to come out to look at our backyard, but he never showed up. No calls, no emails, no follow-up. He ignored my calls so I had to send him a facebook message. He did respond at one point and apologized for the missed appointment. We rescheduled, but he again never answered my calls. I sent messages again through Facebook, but he ignored those. I ended up calling him from an anonymous number and he FINALLY answered. He informed me that he "no longer works at that company" so my gift card could not be honored. He told me to try and call the number listed on the website, but that number only goes straight to voicemail. I was under the impression from my initial visit that Thomas was the owner of the company, but he now acts like he isn't the owner. I looked up the company and noticed over the years they have had several tax liens against their business from the state of Texas so that tells me what kind of individuals they are. I think it is really bad that they would do this to a PTO organization and an elementary school, money that should be used for children. Galveston County records show the company was established in November of 2011 under the owner name of Samuel Jeffords III. Thomas Jeffords was the individual I spoke with. The BBB online shows the company was established in November 2012 under the owner name of Mr. Josh David Jeffords. In looking at Galveston County records, Joshua Jeffords and Samuel Jeffords have opened and closed several businesses over the years (Clear Choice Contractors and The Cedar Connection). The Galveston County database also shows that many of these individuals have also had child support liens and federal tax liens against them. Just another reason to be concerned with doing any business with these individuals.
