TCB demoed and totally remodeled the original bathroom. Gutted it all, repaired, and replaced the rotten floor, re-sheetrocked, all new plumbing and electrical and painted. For an incredible price. TCB has done a complete kitchen restoration for us, including more rotten floors and neglected plumbing. They installed beautiful cabinets, Butcher Block counters, Saltillo tile floors, and a beautiful back splash. They installed new vinyl flooring throughout the house and again repaired more structural damage to the sub floors. They also have done a complete buildout for a new metal building we had installed in place of the garage, turning it into a workable shop. These guys know what they are doing, the quality of work is exceptional, and they work with you and your budget. Hands down, the best contractors in town!

Both the owner, Scott, and his workmen did everything they said they would, and on time. Sadly, this has not been the case with many contractors I've used in the past. The workers were extremely considerate, tidied up after themselves, and did an excellent job. I really could not be happier and will be using them again.

Scott came to my home after I got with my homeowners insurance to access the damage. and then sent me a bid to give to my homeowners insurance. I received the money to pay for repairs and the work started as soon as they could schedule me in. Work started and they worked every day on different projects until work was done. Scott Barker, the owner of GCR Builders, came to my house every day to check in. He kept in touch with me, and is very customer oriented. His workers were also diligent, respectful, and worked hard to get the job done. I am very happy about they way my kitchen turned out. Thanks Scott and the workers.

We've had experiences with many contractors over the years. Electricians, plumbers, general contractors, etc. It is sad to say, but it is so frustrating to find an honest and trustworthy contractor. Often times, they quote you an exorbitant price, upsell other services/products, and leave a mess or unfinished work once they get paid. Mitch has repaired our pipes after the February freeze. He also helped install new flooring to our attic space, and completed several projects for my in-laws (flooring, roofing, water heater replacement, drywall repair). We finally found our handyman! He is communicative, courteous, and extremely trustworthy. He completes his work from start to finish with the utmost detail. I mean the level of detail that is usually reserved for one's own home or close family members. It speaks to the man's code of ethics. He believes in honest work at an honest price within a reasonable timeframe. His prices are extremely fair, that is not to say cheap or expensive, but fair for the quality of work being done. I plan to continue to work with Mitch for any and all home repairs that are within his capacity.

The quote was reasonable; and since the amount was so cheap...there was no chance of financing. So, we decided to hold off. So, I'm sitting at work and get a faxed invoice for $400. I almost fell out my chair!!!. So, I called and told them they didn't do any work on my house. "Yes, we did!". They backdoored and sent pictures of employees on my roof, doing work without our permission! We didn't sign a contract or anything. I was upset. Then, after we went back and forth saying it wasn't a contract...you basically did work for free...they used a scare tactic about putting a lien against my house! Are you kidding me right now?! We weren't scared at all because at the end of the day, you do not have a signed contract. A faxed invoice with a price is not a contract. And you did work without our knowledge. We didn't get a call, nothing! They didn't leave a shingle, a nail, a piece of wood...nothing! I think it was something one day saying they came by hanging from the door knob, but it was thrown in the trash. Anywho, I seen a lawyer in our future. Everything died down and diffused. The kicker of all of this, Hurricane Harvey came through and the small leak which was the size of a cookie now has gotten bigger! The same area that was supposedly repaired. Make me think they came and tore the work they done out. Who knows!? Thank God for my insurance company so we could get a real remodeling company who fixed it correctly. It cost us more, which is okay but everything was done on the up and up. You don't scam people!!!
