I recently used Irrigation Concepts to have a sprinkler system installed in my yard. There are…read moremultiple things that I've considered about this review. Please keep in mind that all of these things are important. First, the bid process in looking for a company to install a complete system can be overwhelming. I received bids from five different companies. Irrigation Concepts was not the least expensive. They also we're not the most expensive. However, One thing they did that was unique from every other company that I received a bid from is the fact that they included a list of references from previous jobs. I did call a couple of those references and ask about the installation process. That made a difference in who I decided to use. It also helps that they are a part of the BBB. Some of the other bids I received seemed a little sketchy or fly-by-night companies. Second, during the installation process, a yard can get pretty messed up. One thing I appreciated is the fact that they did not leave trash laying around at the end of the day. They made sure everything was picked up each and every day before they went home so nothing would get blown around. Addition, all of the trenches were dug by hand. Machinery was not used. At the end of the job, they made sure that the trenches were well covered and the dirt grass was replaced as good as possible. Granted, my installation happened at the end of the grass growing season so the few dead patches that I had blended in with the rest of the yard. They called 311 to ensure all the utility lines were properly marked. However, things happen. I had personally installed some landscape lights and had some underground wiring that was cut by a shovel. Since Irrigation Concepts also does landscape lighting, they ensured that my landscape lights were in full working order once again before the job was completed. I did not have to repair the electrical myself which is a major plus to me. Lastly, after the installation was completed, the owner of the company came back to the house and showed me how to winterize the system to minimize any chances of freezing pipes and/or breakage during our occasional hard freezes in Houston. Bottom line - It was a pleasure doing business with these owners. The bid process, install process, and communication after the job completion are all contributing factors that resulted in a five star review. Kudos to them.
