Staff was quick and friendly. Went late at night but it got pretty busy around 8-9pm. It's a nice place for a date or even to meet up with friends. Definitely an underrated gem in the city. So many options to chose from and the prices are affordable

As the name says, they also offer bbq, specifically Korean bbq. I tried the sushi only. Instead of putting the tobiko or ikura on rice they put it on cucumber cups which was cute an added crunch.

Finding this location was kind of a hole in the wall, especially with all the scaffolding around the restaurant but there is a big sign for it! The service was good and the lady and the chef were so sweet. Our meals were served with the Korean side dishes, and I was so happy about this. We ordered a spicy pork bento box and two sushi rolls: sunshine and spicy tuna crunch. It ended up being a lot more food than we could comfortably finish. The sushi was tasty and the bento had a good amount of spicy pork and the sides (mandoo, California roll, spring tempura, salad)

First time here. Did an order to go. Staff was super friendly and took good care of us and packaged our meal really well. Food was super delicious! Loved how they labeled the food too and put in extra goodies like kimchi, cucumber salad and extra soy sauce and mayo. The inside was super cute too.

Recently had takeout from them. I had passed them a few times and was curious. I guess it's Korean and Japanese fusion. I'd be interested in some of their Korean dishes. Anyway, my boyfriend's mom ordered some kind of crazy party platter. Personally, I think it's way too much money. I'd be more than happy with just 2 sushi rolls but it was a fun treat yo self moment. There was a decent variety but mostly limited to from what I can tell salmon, tuna, white tuna, and eel in both rolls and sashimi. But everything tasted super fresh. I'd definitely do it again but maybe with less sashimi and just rolls or go there in person.

Very nice staff there that greets you when you enter and thanks you when you exit. Inside has a lot of seating. I ordered right before their lunch options ended and got the sushi and sashimi lunch special. The cuts were plenty and the quality was good and fresh. I definitely feel like I got my money's worth and would come back.

We were looking for something nearby and found EJ BBQ Sushi based on their great reviews. We were a bit taken aback when we arrived at the front door as it's not fancy at all and the table was a bit sticky. The waitress was very attentive and accommodating - except when we were looking to get the check which took 15 minutes - not sure why, it wasn't crowded. The fried pork gyoza was good and so was the miso soup. Miso soup usually only comes with an entrée but they comped us a miso soup even though we ordered a la carte. We enjoyed the California roll, American sushi (special ordered tuna salmon yellowtail) and beef japchae. The portions and sushi quality were good. The beef on the japchae was very tasty and came with the usual comped Korean side dishes of spicy and pickled items. The mango mochi wasn't very good so we'd definitely skip that. It was affordable and a great choice for nearby FIT students (who will also get a discount). We would return if we were in the area and looking for affordable sushi but would not go out of way to return.

This place really surprised me. Excellent cuts of fish and a lovely staff. A little hard to spot but I honestly can't name any other sushi in the area this good for a reasonable price.

Ordered online for pickup. Got there earlier and while waiting the chefs were super nice and welcoming. The hand roll and California rolls were delish! Would get again.

Very good sushi and service. Really chill vibe too for a talk. For sure a hidden gem in the city.

The effortless tranquility encourages you to slow down, enjoy the food, and get away from the everyday, hubbub. Their menu leans into fusion dishes with a nod to some of the classic home-style classics. Everything is presented with a refined, elevated touch. Here's what we ordered: ~ Tako Wasabi - 5/5 stars A fiery delight. This appetizer feartures chopped raw octopus marinated in wasabi. It has a lively zest from the wasabi and is topped with tobiko, which adds a pleasant contrast in texture. ~ Honey Makgeolli - 4/5 stars A traditional fermented Korean beverage that is light and pairs brilliantly with your meal. It is a cloudy alcholoic drink served in a metal teapot, and surprisingly, there is much more in that teapot than you would expect. It easily provides six to eight generous pours. The flavor is subtly sweet with a pleasant tang. ~ Temaki Set - 4/5 stars You can order a set of three by choosing from selections 1-17, or you can order a la carte at the listed prices. Some of the temaki stood out more than others. Our two sets included marinated salmon, bluefin tuna, spicy yellowtail, spicy bluefin, and two dynamite temaki. ~ Spicky Pork Ssam Set - 5/5 stars Truly another standout entree that even surpassed my beloved grilled BBQ bossam. You received a generous basket of assorte greens, including romaine, kale, perilla leaves, dandelion leaves, nappa cabbage, and more. It is well worth the price and makes for a fun, interactive dining experience with your family and friends. There is also various banchan offered and this time, they were beyond kind enough to offer refills. The last time we were here, we ordered just as much food and they stated they normally did not offer refills, which I thought was very odd. With its casual bougie aesthetics, this spot has quickly become one of my favorite eateries in Fort Lee-lee, It beautifully blends Korean, Japanese, and American flavors in a way that feels both comforting and elevated. Needless to say, we will be back!

Opening in 2015 in the heart of Koreatown in Midtown Manhattan, the Korean restaurant, Her Name is…read moreHan, was a great place for my wife and me to come for lunch during our 2nd day in NYC. They have great reviews and it is definitely warranted. The restaurant has a solid website, giving accurate information about the hours and menu. It indicated that weekday lunch time would be a good time to try their value-based lunch menu, letting us sample some of their dishes. We walked over from our hotel just before their opening time of noon, and got in line just as they opened. It was a decent size queue, but the dining space inside was large, and everyone in line was able to be seated (including us). Our main server was Jiwoong, and she was lovely throughout. A carafe of tap water was provided with two glasses, so we could refill our own water (I love this about Korean restaurants...wish other restaurants did something similar). Multiple servers interacted with us throughout, and the beautifully prepared food was delivered exactly on time, with the proper temperature. We ended up ordering 4 things. The non-ipa beer on tap was Ball Lightning Pilsner ($9 for 12 oz) and it was OK. Fried Cod Appetizer ($15) - coming out first, the five chunks of lightly deep fried cod was OK, enhanced by the tartar like sauce. There are four choices from the Lunch Premium Bapsang (a set meal with rice, Japanese equivalent is Teishoku), and we chose two of them. I had the Grilled Atka Mackerel ($19), and my wife had the Spicy Pork BBQ ($21). Both came with white rice, a light bean sprout soup (decent), kimchi (not my favorite), a simple green leaf salad, 3 banchans (loved the fish cakes), some grapes, and a light custard based dessert (which was good). I liked my mackerel, well prepared and fried. The pork was indeed spicy with good flavor. Reading about the restaurant later, learnt that the name came to the founder, meaning two things. 'Han' represents a uniquely Korean emotion of mixed grief, sadness, and hidden resentment...we know that we shouldn't feel this way, but we feel a bit better that other Koreans feel it too. It is also the last name of the founder's mother (most Koreans keep their last name after marriage), so the name is an homage (that's what I read on their facebook page) to her. The restaurant is part of the Resy network, and thus using our AMEX provided a $20 statement credit (once a month...this is my favorite sort of credit since the credit is entirely funded by AMEX, and the restaurant gets their full charged amount). Payment was handled at the table, and we were out in under an hour. As we were leaving, we noticed that there now was a queue to get in, so we came at the right time. In terms of the food, I thought the overall taste was good, but the service, extremely reasonable prices, beautiful presentation, and just the overall atmosphere bumped this up to a great rating.
