Either/Or 2.0 has everything the original location has, plus way more. In the evening, it switches from a coffee shop to a bar. If you come earlier in the day, you can have amazing coffee from a rotating roasters lineup. However, if you come after 5, you can have a yummy cocktail or a beer from the tap. They often have DJs, and they always have good music playing. They now have a full-on food program too, so you can have breakfast/lunch/dinner there if you're feeling hungry. Also, they have a claw machine near the back, filled with Either/Or merch, coffee bags, and other various coffee-related prizes. It's got all the quirkiness of the first Either/Or location, but now in a bigger, sleeker space. Love this cafe and everything they have to offer. You definitely have to stop here! read more

I stumbled upon EITHER/Or on my trip to Portland. I was looking for coffee and a place to sit and read. It changes over from a coffee shop to a bar after 5pm, and even though it was 6 the bartender was cool with me just having a cup of coffee, and it was actually the BEST coffee of the many cups I had on my four day stay. The bartender was super nice to me and to everyone who walked in the door. I loved the style of the place, and though I didn't get food or an alcoholic bev, I glanced at other people's meals and drinks and they looked AWESOME. The 4 weeks I visited Portland, EITHER/Or became my go-to spot for coffee, breakfast, lunch and dinner. The coffee is excellent, and the hamburger was my favorite off the menu. Great place to take a date you don't have confidence in. Their Chinese bowl consisted of a Slim Jim and Korean kimchi. And rice.

I love this place. The drinks are great, the decor is fantastic. I love the only painting, which is a giant portrait of fantastic soul singer Jackie Shane. The staff is friendly and cute. The only thing I'd say needs work is the music, which 4 out of the 5 times I've been there was incongruous with the visual vibe. I don't want to hear loud pop music in a place that is otherwise vintage glamour. Otherwise highly recommend. read more

This place is incredible. It's a bar, cafe and coffeeshop all wrapped into one. They even have a DJ booth and have events some weekends! The space is super cute, and it feels like everything was carefully chosen down to the smallest detail. The coffee is great, the mocktails are DELICIOUS, and so is the food! I especially love the tofu rice bowl and the stadium nachos which are super comforting and nostalgic. Everyone is super friendly. It's a great place to come to during the day to get some work done, or at night for a drink and food with friends. They also play really great music. Very friendly staff. Atmosphere and decor is nice too. I ordered the orange ginger soda. I liked that it wasn't too sweet. Nice music selection (more upbeat, a bit on the louder side but not too loud). Wifi is available (need to ask for password). Seats were comfortable! read more

Got the Pork Belly bowl which didnt disappoint! Add avocado to make it even better. I went around 10pm and they had a dj playing vinyl which was sweet although only around 4 people in the bar total....I like that they're trying to have a bar/dinner scene but I think they just need some publicity to make this place poppin at night! read more

we were cycling by and thought to try either/or, since we noticed the transition from the wine bar it once was.....nice, rainer, pbr, miller ponys, cocktails, and wine...we shared breakfast tacos...scrambled eggs, beans, queso fresco, salsa roja....be careful of the red sauce ...delicious and fresh....the staff is real nice too..thx so much! read more

This is a very nice place. I had the Asian soup for breakfast which I think is a nice change from cereal and pancakes all the time. They ha e several other offerings for breakfast too which all look delicious. I also tried their chai tea which is worth the trip there just to try it. The sausage was a little burnt but overall really good. They definitely need to work on there customer service I really love the food but I won't go back because of their customer service didn't know there a time for minors and instead of helping me on solution to get some food, i could careless about drinking but it would have been nice to at least help someone who trying to spend money I was shooed away... oh yeah they don't have a business phone to call in food or a delivery service which is what I found out after coming there and being rudely kicked out without a solution. if you have kids DO NOT TAKE THEM there and they won't help you believe me I know!!!!!! read more

We were really excited to try this place as I've heard so much about it. We walked in around 3PM on a Friday and as we were just going to have a few cocktails, we walked to the bar. We sat at the bar and the bartender simply looked at us and ignored us for several minutes as he continued prep. Not off to a great start. He then simply gave us the menus and when we asked a question about happy hour, trying to begin conversation, he simply said, "it's all in there" and kept prepping. We ordered a drink and asked for the tab to remain open. He made the drinks (which were extremely disappointing, but as tastes differ I won't hold it against them, though it was a classic manhattan and should be easy) and he gave them to us and asked for the credit card. He ran it and then said, "oops, I closed it" and gave the card back. No apology or anything. We gulped the drinks as we paid for them, but the whole time we were made to feel we didn't belong there. There seemed to be a lot of staff in the restaurant (maybe between shifts) and as they talked amongst themselves, we could help but to feel were were intruding on them, and not at a restaurant. It was extremely disappointing to be looking forward to a place only to simply made feel unwelcome and have a bad classic cocktail. There are plenty of other establishments in the area and I will frequent those. read more

UNIQUE! They offer a fine assortment of coffees and teas, of mocktails and cocktails. It is a really fun menu and place, offering both "flights" and "short stacks." /// The food was excellent . For example, for dinner one night I had a lovely salad:- very generous portion- enough for two people- all fresh, crispy leafy greens (not the usual halfway-limp greens one so often is served in restaurant salads) with such thin radish slices that they added a delicate verve without being too sharp. Savory texture added by pickled mustard seeds that contributed a great zest & are amazingly light but very tasteful; thin slices of jicama and cubed yellow tomatoes that were clearly vine ripened because they were so sweet they almost tasted like cubes of mango but with the lighter, more palatable texture of tomatoes: all bound together with exactly the right amount of a heavenly perfectly-balanced goddess dressing- wonderfully flavorful neither too heavy on anything nor too light. The tea ("the experience, for here only") was amazing. It was flavorful and way better than usual the usual coffee house tea offerings. It was my favorite tea I've ever had in a mostly-coffee spot. I liked the spot a lot, but I'll keep coming back just for that tea. read more
