Scrambled Eggs/Toast/Home Fries
Deb W.

So, this was our first time visiting the Eisenhower Diner. We arrived late morning and decided to have breakfast. Our waitress was very nice and accommodating. The eggs/toast/bacon were good, when I ordered my home fries, I was asked if I wanted onion or green pepper. So I asked for some onion. My home fries came out primarily chopped cooked onions and very little potatoes. I asked our waitress if I could please just have regular home fries with no onion and she brought them to me promptly. She even said she could see there were barely any potatoes. My husband enjoyed his pancakes. All in all, the food was ok, not the best breakfast we have ever had. This restaurant once was Kokomos, so it's kind of strange having it as a diner now. Very relaxed atmosphere, diner vibe. We may give it another try some day.

The food was great. Classic BLT and strawberry milkshake. Overall, nice diner experience.

Love this place . Great staff and the variety of food choices are amazing. Especially love the breakfast menu. Had Shrimp Parmesan for dinner this weekend. It was delicious !

One of the worst experiences we have had here...seafood platter didn't come with the baked potato or the biscuit. Steak was not cooked right on the steak stir fry and when our food came out they gave us the shrimp stir fry. The cups are disgusting too. Last time we came we had a great experience. Our server left us for a while and we were waiting for her for a while to check up on us.

I was looking forward to trying this new diner in town. We went early on a Sunday morning so there was no wait. We were sat in a worn out booth. Literally the cushions were wore down and you could feel the boards under you. There was a smell in the air, not food based. More of a chemical smell. Service was acceptable, the food overall was good enough. The pricing was good.

Just an okay experience. Went with a chicken burger, which was serviceable. The brussel sprouts I…read morehad as a side were also alright. Quite a good selection of drinks. Definitely a solid meal, but Avalon didn't do anything to impress me.

The earliest it would allow was 11:45 AM. At around 3 o'clock that afternoon, I called and explained That I needed to pick up the order by 1115 the next day and could I give the order verbally on the phone. The person that answered the phone said yes. I gave him our order which was five sandwiches and salads and told him I would see him tomorrow. His reaction was tomorrow? Yes, I need to pick it up at 11:15 AM tomorrow. I asked if that would be a problem and was told no. I decided to call in the morning to confirm that they had my order and that it would be ready at 11:15. They answered the phone at 11 o'clock and after a few minutes, the hostess said that yes they had the order. I told her I would see her soon. When I got there at 11:15, the order wasn't ready and she did not have anything in her computer so I had to verbally give her the order again so she could ring it up for me. The order was not ready until approximately 11:40 AM. This was 40 minutes after I called to verify that they had the order and then it would be ready and about 20 minutes after I needed it to be ready as my lunch appointment began at 11:30 and I had a 15 minute drive. When the hostess finally gave me our food, I asked if there were utensils inside to which she replied, yes. I got to the office and there were no utensils and my salad had no dressing. Eating lettuce, cucumbers and cabbage without dressing is not very appealing. I enjoyed the chili. It was flavorful and had a good temperature. I will need to eat my salad when I get home and could get some dressing. It looks like a fun restaurant for seafood and craft beers and the bar look like it would be a great place to sit on a Friday night, but I was disappointed in the service I received for the lunch order.

We originally planned to eat out on the patio, but the wind that day was very high and it would have been impossible. As it was, later when we did go out on the patio to have a drink, we found ourselves helping out the staff in taking down the umbrella covers so that they wouldn't get completely shredded by the wind. We started off with a mixed drink that my cousin recommended. No idea what it was, but it was somewhat tasty. Not really my kind of thing normally, as I tend to go for whiskey sours (I drink like my grandmother). Looking through the menu, I was tempted by a burger, but then I saw the fish and that it was haddock, and had to go for it. When it came out, I was pleasantly surprised with the dish, and enjoyed it. This is a place where you don't feel like you need to dress up... you can just go, enjoy a nice meal, perhaps hit some balls on the driving range or go for a round of golf, and just enjoy your time instead of having to play froo-froo games with high society clowns.
