Stopped in for breakfast Thanksgiving morning with my daughter, her pick. We always go to the one in York but this time I just thought about changing it up so we picked this location. To me almost all Denny's are the same, it's hit or miss with staff and or food but Denny's is my daughters favorite diner. She loves the pancakes. I almost always go with something different. I got the french toast and she got her pancakes. Everything was good as usual, nothing special just good for the price diner food. How does this place stay open??? I stopped visiting this Denny's because the service is always horrible and the workers look like they're stoned out of their minds. Haven't been there in several months and figured we'd try it again hoping for a better experience. I was wrong! We walked in the store and we're told that they weren't taking anymore orders for the night. We looked around the restaurant and there were probably five or six tables seated. The sign on the door and the Google listing didn't mention anything about being closed. I'm done with this dump! The bathrooms stink, the service is HORRIBLE, the dishes are dirty and they get our order wrong every time. Perkins across the street is 1000 times better. read more

Went in a few weeks ago and was seated and served by Hannah. She was polite, attentive and provided a high quality of service! If we were ever to go back, it would be for her service alone. Sadly, there were other issues, 2 women, who appeared to be employees off shift, were in a nearby booth being very loud, making out, using foul language and overall just making the whole experience weird. Not a situation I'd want to bring my kids to. The food was decent, a little cold, but came out in a ok amount of time. I'm all for a date night out, but get a room for goodness sake if you're going to be all up on each other in a booth people eat in. read more

The waitresses here are wonderful. Lisa, Natalia, and all the others are so pleasant it makes it enjoyable to eat here. Usually no waits or little waits. The manager, Nicole is so sweet. Hannah was our server, she was very polite and made sure she paid attention to us. However the manager got nasty and in her face several times throughout the night calling her names and having an unnecessary scene in front of customers while Hannah was trying to remain civil and quiet. This place has not changed much. Terrible slow service. They tell this up front when you walk in. This must be a standard for this chain. I have walked out of locations on not getting waited on. The menu is a little limited on dinner selection unless you're ordering breakfast. Today I ordered the chicken fried steak. With hash browns and a cup of soup.twenty five plus minutes and didn't even have my soup. Now yes this place is a lot busier that I have seen it a long time. But the under staffing shows. I don't recommend this place if you are in a hurry. Food presentation. Look good and my order was correct. Flavor was good overall. Service was friendly and pleasant. I recommend this place. But I don't like the long wait time. And limited selection on dinner menu of things I like. They really need to step up the game. On normal dinner food. Perkins and I hop have them beat on that. Showed up a little over and hour before they closed. Dude tells me dining room is closed because they are short staffed but could barely get the words out because he was so high. 2 girls walk in no issues and get seated right after this. I go back in and confront them on their lying and I see all 4 workers sitting down on their phones. My family and I can to eat tonight and was turned away. My son is Autistic and only eat McDonald's fries, which I have brought with me. I was told by the waitress and the manager Denise or Nicole can't remember her name I can't bring in outside food. This is my local Denny's and this is not my first time coming here. But this was the first time I was told my special needs child couldn't bring in his food. It is sad that I has to tell my other children that their brother was being discriminated against for his special needs. Denny's do better. read more

The food is generally good. The Dennys in Hanover PA is chronically understaffed. Last fall, we had the same experience as today. Today, we were seated in 5 minutes. Then, it took 10 minutes for the poor waitress to get back to us. She basically was doing everything except cooking. They need a manager and 2 waitresses for the 30-40 people who were there to get their meals. I know you're hiring but you need to pay more money to get staff to show up. We came for my fiancé bday no one was there but one table n they were finishing up their food!! So there shouldn't have been a problem or attitude but I thought wrong!!!! We just had breakfast on 9.30.23 our experience was not the greatest the Food was honestly average. The Service was below average and so slow and as busy as it was it looks like there was not enough staff they left guest waiting for long periods of time without acknowledging I see you and will be right with you. Now they only had one working bathroom as unisex. I am a female and don't think is safe to share with men. Or little girls is very unsafe. Staying at Hampton Inn so ordered to-go lunch for wife and two children at 2pm. It's a walk across the parking lot. Super Bird is a grilled turkey, bacon, cheese and tomato sandwich that comes with fries. It was cold cheese, tomato and turkey between slices of lightly toasted bread. Fries reheated from the lunch hour. Had to walk back after opening the two kids chicken tender lunches because they didn't include the requested dipping sauce. Wasn't busy at all. We decided to have dinner at this store, and when we arrived it soon became apparent that there were two staff - one server and one cook - working, along with what we imagine was a manager out by the dumpster yakking on the phone. In fairness the server was trying to prioritize all the stuff she had going on - several tables, hostess duties, cashier. But our patience wore pretty thin when we hadn't been seated after 15 minutes of waiting. Within that time several potential customers came in, looked around and waited just a few minutes before leaving. Also a couple more staff - a cook and another server - arrived and proceeded to act like deer in the headlights. Not one of Denny's finer moments!! read more
