Let's be honest if you're in the age group of 21-122 years of age this is most likely not the bar for you. To be more clear if you are in the youngest legal age to drink to oldest living age to be recorded this place will still be terrible. I have been to this pub over thirty times, as this seems to be the only place my group wants to go [due to the fact the beer is twenty-five cents cheaper here than at Bakers Street, Moe's, Buffalo Wild Wings, Wings N' More, and Wild Wing Cafe to name a few places that Einsteins prices beat by a whole twenty-five cents], and every time have been full of regret. The place wreaks of smoke, stale beer, and what I can only muster up as rotting food all of which is complemented by what is the worst imaginable group of DJ's they could find across the state. In fact based on my experience I would assume they advertise specifically for people with no ability to DJ. They don't remix the music, all they do is open up their Mac Book Pro and select a song from youtube which typically is terrible and played at noise levels which blare out any ability to talk to nearby friends, or serves [as if you'd be able to get a hold of one anyway]. The Pub attempts to be a club, but still offers the basis of a Bar, if you want club atmosphere go to a club, but when someone calls something a PUB they expect it to be a pub and not a pseudo-club. That all aside those who praise the food must have been in prison for the past five years, seeing as the food is almost as pitiful as the beer they serve. The prices are cheap, so if you're homeless this may be the place for you. But seeing as most the people in the Katy/Cinco area have enough money to afford housing or rent within the Greater Katy Area makes me assume that the average customer is not homeless or poor. Each time I have gone I tried to get a different beer, Dos Equis, Miller, Bud Light, Shiner Bock, Ziegenbock, etc. Atleast one out of every four times the beer comes back stale and warm. Almost as if they purposely fill up the pitchers put them in the back and leave them sitting there to lose their carbonation slowly warming up from the grills that cook the despicable food. So you're not there for alcohol, food, or to kill your sensory system; maybe the servers/bartender's are responsive? Well guess again, I have sat in the main hall area as well as the pool hall, the dart lanes, side bar, and the main bar area to have what seems like little to no waitress service. It's as if they have one waitress and she is always out the back watching the beer go stale and warm. One would only guess that they just try to make the experience horrible. Remember when thinking about Bars in the area that Houston is just past Fry and Cinco Ranch is just down Grand Parkway [HW-99]; when thinking where should I go drink remember there are more bars than just those on Mason Road and they are all within a five minute drive. If you can't afford the Gasoline to get to a bar that's not on Mason Road then you shouldn't be drinking at a bar to begin with. If you walk then I am sorry that the only place you have to go to is worse than the description of Hell. read more

Another long time, popular bar in Katy. I hear people making negative comments about the place all the time - but they still go!! Personally I don't see many negatives. It can get a bit crowded and sometimes service is not exactly personal, but hey - that waitress has dozens of people who all think they should be served first!! I've heard that there have been more fights of late but have never seen any myself so don't know if that's true or not. They have 4 or 5 pool tables, darts and the latest video games and most nights there is either a DJ or a band. The drink prices are OK, the bands mostly OK with a couple that are very good. Oh and a recent reviewer was wrong about there being a $5 cover...it's only $2. (same guy complained that already low beer prices were only reduced 50 cents during happy hour - i bet if it was free he would complain that it was warm!!) All in all, another place you will probably visit if you spend any time at all in Katy. read more

Hey EinStein's, you deserve so much better than a 3 out of 5 stars! Dang, Ashlee M. put your whole rating on a door guy. I live downtown Houston, and every time I head out to EinStein's I stay till the lights come on. The staff makes it that much fun, (won't name names), and they always have some kind of drink specials and entertainment. I know the scene, and the best part is EinStein's is staying classy amidst all the other Katy bars lowering drink prices and turning into dives! Stay safe and have fun. read more

STAY AWAY. Absolute dump the waiters the bouncers the bar tenders are all terrible. There's this one overweight African American bouncer with a beard that has a napoleon complex he will find any excuse to throw you out and exercise his tiny amount of authority. I'm honestly curious how much money the bar has missed out on because of this one individual that throws scores of people out that rub him the wrong way. read more

If you enjoy a smoky sausage factory, this place is right up your alley. The clientele is a collection of toothless misfits with questionable personal hygiene practices. The beer taps are dirty as are the servers. I suggest a shot of oxygen with each beer to keep your lungs in working order. But WTH, if you are really considering a bender on Mason Rd, this place is probably as good as any. read more

Pretty sad that they have been caught substituting cheap liquor for premium brands. Plus it hasn't been that long since they made the news for having the dirtiest beer lines in Houston. Who is in charge of this place? The place has been around for a long time and has a loyal following, but at this point those who keep going must have a thing for abusive relationships. read more

If there was a lower rating than one star that's what this establishment would get. For a run down bar in Katy you wouldn't expect much. But expect to be thrown out for almost anything the bouncers want any excuse to use the tiny amount of authority that they have. They really believe that this bar is an exclusive club.
