They have free food nearly every night, you just need to be courteous and buy some drinks too. The staff is wonderful and easy to talk to. This feels like a basement! Come home to watch some sports, they have plenty of tvs! This spot is super chill, they have a touch tunes so you can jam out to your own music. The chef is from across the pond and makes some mean food. There is a patio but it's full of smokers, just a heads up. Don't sleep on this spot, it's great! :)

Top notch service. Different free food items everyday except Thursdays. I love how dark it is and the regulars are super nice. Always a great time.

I would never have stepped into this neighborhood "pub" if it were not for my long time friend Jeanne introducing me to this here. Once you are "in" here with the crowd you will definitely feel the friendliness from the middle of the eye-pleasing bartenders (the female ones), to the corner where the elder guy is hovering over his whiskey sour drink speaking of his hundred acres of land he has on the lakes, over to the casually dressed lady putting the fixes on her hamburger on the other side and even around the actual bar area where you'll find seasoned bar veterans that have been coming here for DECADES extending their hands in greetings. If any of you remember the sitcom "Cheers", this would almost be the place where everybody really knows everybody, just not as spiffy as the stage set. Since my first day entering here nervously looking for somebody I have not seen in 5 years, my guard got lowered since coming in here and finding it a predominately Caucasian bar but a visit or two here and you'll never feel out of place here. The drinks here are almost dirt cheap. A whisky and coke is only $4 and they pour HEAVY, think in the lines of Warrens downtown, yea, one of those but not douchy. Food is served here and on almost any given night there is a little something to the mix. I had the Ruben one night and the Hamburger another. The Ruben is decent and well balanced. A little bit of that Rye looking bread, corned beef, that special sauce, about a 2-ounce portion of sour kraut with a small hand grab of potato chips make it worth trying and for only $6. I don't think they do fried foods here so french fries are not offered. The other week I tried their $6 hamburger special, it would not be fair to make a comment since I ordered a little past medium but next time I shall try it medium rare so it will not come out on the little dry side. Thursday nights are Ribeye nights and I promise myself that I will try this so an update is sure to come. I remembered a pool table or two off to the left side, bathrooms toward the middle and on the right, you'll notice a glass door towards that back, I believe that is the patio. The people here are very well behaved, you will NEVER have to worry about a fight breaking out. There are millionaires, mid class and hard working blue collars like me here but you won't notice the difference until you've been introduced to this fine bunch. Parking is kind of tight and isn't really big truck friendly. Do not park across the street unless you want the inevitable to happen. The interior is nothing near new but up kept to where nothing will appear dilapidated, it's just that homely feeling that will get you past that. The service here is very very comforting, as they notice your drink on the low side you will without seeking to be asked if you would like another. Got a water in front of you? Don't be surprised if while you're talking to your friend, look over and see a water nozzle on top of your glass, that's service without extreme. The demographic here is mostly 40 and above so if you plan on coming in here with your pants halfway down to your knee caps................take that crap somewhere else, we're all happy here.

I've heard many stories about this place. I finally came to check it out. I wasn't part of any group the crazy stories came from. I can give you my first impression from an unbiased and uninfluenced experience. Theres definitely a regular crowd here. Older crowd? Check. Why does this place remind me of Florida and Vegas at the same time? It feels like your inside a double wide trailer home. Not a place to impress a date, but you could come in pajamas or have spinach stuck b/w your teeth and no-one would care. Ratings can be deceptive. What's good and what's bad? My opinion, its a neighborhood bar. Come with a group if you're young. If you're older and live nearby, come. Not a destination but a journey. That song and place. Prices are not bad, they have pool tables and other games as well. Friendly owner and staff. No comments on bar food but they have it.

Visited here midweek after going to a Yelp event at the nearby Regal. I'd seen this spot a few…read moretimes when dining with colleagues nearby and assured myself I'd check it out as soon as I could. I'm glad I did! When walking in it wasn't crowded but there were a fair amount of guests for a near 10 pm crowd on a Wednesday. I went and sat at the bar to which I was immediately greeted and provided menus. Food & Drink - 5* I immediately ordered some wings and fried pickles and peppers. Then I debated between the Irish Stew or the Shepherd's Pie. When I inquired, both are great but advised I should go with the Shepherd's Pie. Off to races we go. Fried pickles and peppers, delicious, the batter isn't over the top yet doesn't fall off terribly. The cilantro jalapeño sauce is a fantastic pairing. The wings -- great, nice crisp, flavor was not necessarily what I expected, I couldn't place it at the time it they were good. Now, the shepherd's pie, wow, this dish was addicting. I'd come back over and over for this while sabotaging in semblance of a balanced diet. Just makes me know that the Irish stew is likely equally fantastic. The drinks, well, I can't speak to cocktails but the Guinness was delicious, cold, with nice collar/head. Can't go wrong with that! Service - 5* Everything one would want. Friend, fast, and attentive. Water was always full and was asked if needed anything multiple times. The only thing I didn't get proactively was napkins, but when I asked, I was provided some quickly. Cost - 4.5* Overall, I think, subjectively speaking, everything here is pretty well priced. The shepherd's pie may be a tad overpriced but it's worth it in how delicious it is. Overall - 5* This was a pleasant surprise to visit and I will certainly come back. Subjectively the location is good and bad. Being next to the improv and movie theater I'm sure helps attract many patrons for these businesses. At the same time, this joint, with a loyal following, would sustain business and "feel" better as a free standing establishment in a more neighborhood type environment. Nevertheless, great place, would recommend people stop in even if they aren't visiting the stalwart attractions in the area.

Service here was impeccable. Very attentive but not over-whelming. Will definitely come back on a…read moregame day
