How do you forget the salmon in a lox bagel?
George M.

I waited almost 10 minutes to get my food and the three people that came in after me had come and gone when it finally arrived. When I got back to my house to eat, I opened the box and to my surprise, there was no salmon on my lox bagel. I drove back to the store, showed the box to the manager, and asked for a refund. What a waste of 45 minutes.

The farmhouse 10/10!! So yummy.

I'm really not sure why their rating is so low! I love their breakfast sandwiches, coffee, and of course their bagels. I feel like the workers there are super friendly! During busy hours, there might be a little wait, but they all work fast and hard. I'd recommend coming in earlier whenever you want their Monday dozen bagel deal because I think that's when they have the most selection. I don't think I've ever had a problem of them running out of something I want. Overall, great service and food! They have an app you can use to place an order and/or earn points-- so fun! I know this location has been around forever, but I hope it stays that way!

Einstein plain bagel

On a Sunday at around past 7am went to get 2 dozens bagel for my group meeting and did not check the boxes prior to leaving store. When I got to the meeting venue, realized the bagels does not feel freshly baked at all. I had a great experience with this place ordering in bulk a few years back so I was surprised. What happened to the quality? The bagels (plain & mixed) all felt hard, not like baked just an hour ago. I was very disappointed. Einstein as a specialty bagel place should not slack on the main product that made them famous.

Applewood Bacon and Egg Sandwich
Keisha L.

Picked the kid up from a sleepover and she was hungry so we stopped me to see what we could see got breakfast. We opted to split an Applewood Bacon and Egg Sandwich on a plain bagel, toasted of course.... no complaints, everything was tasty. Egg was cooked well done, bacon was crispy and the plain was good as a plain bagel can be. Next time I may switch it up a bit and get either a French Toast bagel or a Cinnamon Sugar. Don't let the lone scare you, it moves quick! Service was fast and efficient and everyone was super friendly. Parking lot is super small but there are spots in the back too! If you are thirsty, the strawberry lemonade is a quencher as well! Until next time.....

Seriously used both the top and bottom ends of the tomatoes for my lic and bagels...

Love the spinach Florentine bagel. Getting multiple bagels? Have them toast them and get a tub of cream cheese.

Ok, it's not the best, but not like we have any other options around. Yea it's another shitty chain, but it could be worse I suppose.

Getting there around 8AM, they weren't very busy. Tried their cinnamon roll, honey chicken w/egg biscuit, and their breakfast potatoes. Unfortunately, they only serve Starbucks coffee, which is far from a fav of mine, but it can be tolerable (it's usually too "burnt" and bitter tasting)... In this instance, it was actually decent. The food took about 10 minutes to prepare and came out piping hot. The cinnamon roll was room temperature, as it came from the display case and it was excellent! Lots of great flavor and it resembled croissant dough - Not sure if that's what they use to make it, but it's amazing! The biscuit was nice, but crumbled too easy... fortunately due to the size, I decided to use fork & knife to eat it, so the biscuit's inability to hold everything together didn't matter to me. The flavors were great! Definitely very nicely done. Those breakfast potatoes were VERY tasty - yum!!! Service was very nice... the clerk who took our order was friendly and helpful.

I was there to pick up a sandwich for lunch and witnessed very entitled customers treat the staff disrespectfully. Unacceptable. These men and women wake up early and are there everyday with a smile and a positive attitude and people walk into their business and speak down to them. No. Not on my watch. If you eat here, order from here or ask anything of the people tha work here- they deserve respect. The food is great. The tuna, is real, and the sandwiches are hearty. They have a little dining room and lots to choose from and the workers behind the counter deserve your respect and support.

THIS PLACE IS ONE OF THOSE TOP 10%-ers! * Conveniently located (even though I hateeeee that little gummed-up stretch of Main Streer in Fairfax!!) but the shop is on the little side strip out of the fray of the main retailers Ace Hardware and TJ Maxx. Lot parking is abundant for a quick in and out if you're grabbing to go. * SUPER FRIENDLY STAFF and FAST, EFFICIENT SERVICE - I went in around 9AM on a Sat - no long line - walked right up to the counter and ordered - sat at a table and my order was called about 10 minutes later. * It was bfast time and I ordered a bacon egg and cheese sando $8 on a lightly toasted ET bagel - delicious and they didn't skimp on any of the ingredients! The bagel was big, hearty and chewy. A perfect breakfast to go. * PRICES ARE VERY FAIR and I felt I got good value for what I paid. $13 basically for a bfast sando and a bottle of juice (drinks are always a rip-off - $3.50, half the cost of my sando but it is what it is...) * The inside of the restaurant itself is sorta small and cramped - as you walk in, the left side is the ordering side, the right side is the seating area with a good amount of tables and chairs - most importantly, they keep the place neat and clean which is a big deal to me. It's a little dark and drab in ambiance/decor and I could see it getting a bit chaotic if the place fills up and with long lines at the counter. On nice weather days, there are some outside tables. I don't come to this area of Fairfax all that often - just happened to be in the area that morning and literally searched for a bagel place on Yelp and hardly any came up. Fortunately I happened to be close by. When I'm in the area again AND happen to be hankerin' for a bagel sandwich, I'll most definitely come back here again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS INDIE BAGEL SHOP IN DOWNTOWN FAIRFAX!

They offer a large assortment of fresh made bagels, a large assortment of cream cheese varietals/spreads along with their fresh house made coffee. All of which are quite tasty. Aside from the bagels they also offer a large assortment of bagel sandwiches. This is a counter order operation with no inside dining available. Uncovered outside picnic tables are available if you want to enjoy your food on the premises which we did on this glorious spring day. Relative to staff they are super friendly and efficient in getting the food out which is important as this business is quite popular on Weekend mornings in particular. Excellent bagels and a friendly staff…read more Orders are prepared quickly. Bagel Uprising has a couple of downsides that could easily be remedied. First, the website doesn't allow you to look at the menu directly. You have to go thru the pretense of creating an order, with pickup date/time required before you can view the menu. And at the restaurant, the menu is on the exterior of the front door, so you need to memorize what you are going to order before going inside. I ordered the Del-Rachel (AKA Turkey Reuben). This was a delicious bagel sandwich. It's comprised of turkey, Swiss cheese, coleslaw and a special sauce. The Del-Rachel comes with some fabulous kettle chips and a pickle. I was able to request a sesame bagel for the sandwich. I wasn't down completely with the idea of coleslaw on a bagel, but they let me have the coleslaw on the side. What they call a creamy caraway coleslaw was actually tasty. In the end, my Del-Rachel was great and I will definitely be back. It may be a little difficult to find Bagel Uprising because it is set back from Mt. Vernon Ave and sandwiched between two other businesses. Also, note that although there is no indoor seating, there's plenty of picnic tables out front.
