We had three people all together two who ordered two items and one that ordered three. One of the people asked for two of the same bagel with cream cheese, it did not come with cream cheese or even a side of cream cheese. One asked for a bacon avocado sandwich but to switch out the bacon to turkey, the first time we got our order three items were missing, all of his items were not there, we told the employees and they 'fixed it' after waiting for 20 additional minutes he got his sandwich with bacon (he does not eat pork) and two sides of cream cheese for the whole table. I was attempting to use the "receive 2 free bagels with any purchase" deal that is offered on almost all receipts, after completing a survey. The shift lead and other employees said they cannot process it in the system because they don't know how to. I don't believe I'm the first person to complete the survey, bring in an old receipt with the validation code, and request the offer. It sucks because it seems like everyone should be trained on how to input this into the system. If nobody knows how to do it, take it off of the receipts. Very disappointing. read more

Bagel served cold and tasted terrible. I love Einstiens but this location is bad. I did a pick up order and ordered a vanilla iced coffee, turns out you have to pour scolding hot coffee on to ice yourself in a very thin plastic cup. They didn't even have vanilla out. They just recently opened this month. The Texas brisket breakfast bagel was really good. You can switch it to a different bagel. It was very busy but staff seem to be organized. Probably ending their trainings at this time. It was packed so we took ours to go. Parking is free but the traffic flow is werid. Richmond has a new location and it's very busy with locals checking them out. I waited in the drive through line for about ten minutes but it was worth it. I hadn't visited an Einstein Bagel restaurant in a few years and was surprised by the menu and quality of food. I ordered the Texas Brisket Egg Sandwich and loved it. I'm a major cinnamon roll fan so I tried theirs and was it good, not very dense with lots of icing. I'm happy to add this fast food option to my quick breakfast searches. read more

Every time I come here there is an issue. Just this location and I'm so annoyed it's the closest one to my job. Came last week, they gave me the wrong sandwich completely, I never said anything cause I was already at work. Just left. My sandwich is not toasted even though I asked. Meaning my cheese isn't melted it's just like a cold piece of cheddar, which is crazy. On top of nobody was in the drive through or really inside and it still took them 13 minutes. Seeing as my sandwich wasn't toasted, I'm confused why it took so long. I guess they are at work so they aren't mindful of people mornings trying to get a quick bite and go to work. Business states open on both google and yelp. I just drove further away from work as I've been waiting for them to open since the next closest location is about 30 mins away. You can clearly see there are tons of bagels prepared and many cars in the parking lot. However they must still be training since there are closed signs on every side of the building. When you try to call ahead it doesn't go through to the restaurant at all. I would expect this from a small business not a large company with numerous locations. Food is good. Place is clean. Timing is absolutely horrendous. I've placed many online orders hours in advance and they are consistently late every single time. Not just a little late but not even started when it's time for pick up. If you're ordering a brunch box in advance, plan on adding 20-30 extra minutes. I am not even exaggerating. They never even have the boxes started until I show up 5 minutes past the scheduled time. I order somewhere between 5-5:15 am for a pick up at 7-7-20. Plenty of time to get stuff together and it's never ever been ready when I get there. Ever. Plenty of people standing around and just one person scrambling. I am sure they are doing their best but they've really gotta get it together with the timing. It's been about a year now that I've been ordering ahead and it's been a disappointment every time. I am beyond done with this Einstein Bros location. Every single time I order from here, they mess up my order without fail. Today was the last straw. I placed my order through DoorDash, then called twice to make sure they got it right. Not only did I receive the wrong food, but when I called back, the employee who answered had a nasty attitude. He insisted he "made it himself" and there was "no way" it was wrong -- even though I was literally holding the wrong order in my hands. When I went up there to fix it, he had the nerve to tell me to "calm down." Why would I be calm when you messed up my order, gave me attitude, and admitted fault? And even after all that, when they finally handed me "the corrected food," it was STILL wrong. At this point, the entire staff , especially the general manager who clearly allows this nonsense needs to be fired and replaced. Understanding that there are growing pains as the staff learn the systems and gets comfortable in their roles. Their bagels and shmears were as advertised and enjoyable. I tried going through the drive-through today hoping to order a half dozen bagels and shmears, only to be told that I couldn't do that and if I would order this inside, they could fulfill this. I explained to the employee that I have been waiting in line and currently stuck, I requested if there was anything they could do. They responded that they could only provide me a box of assorted bagels. Is this a new policy? It surely is not on the outside menu. Obviously they don't need my business and I am happy to support the local shops, who provide actual customer service. This review is for my visit to Einstein Bagels at 600 W. Sam Houston Parkway in City Centre. I checked the availability of my family's bagel choice and was told (and saw) that there were 3 left. I ordered, paid and waited to be called. After another 10 minutes, I was told that the bagel choice was sold out. 1. Why aren't they keeping track of their inventory? 2. Why didn't they pull the bagels right away for my order? 3. When the number gets low, why can't they keep track of how many are sold? I brought a Baker's Dozen box of Einstein bagels for the office and I am definitely not going back. Let's get the positive out of the way. I brought 4 different types of bagels and two different types of cream cheese. Everyone agreed that the bagels and cream cheese tasted fantastic. The negatives were on the service side of this bagel shack. I walk in with a pleasant good morning greeting, no response from the two ladies working behind the counter. I ordered the $19.95 Baker's Dozen and asked what were the bagel flavor options. One of the lady said to pick from the display case. I went with plain, everything, apple cinnamon, and maple French toast. I wasn't informed that there was a 80 cents up charge for non traditional bagel. I didn't see it on the display menu either. I only discovered the up charge after I got home and reviewed the receipt. Panara Bread does not have up charge for their non tradition bagels in their Baker's Dozen box. In addition, I had no ask why there was no cream cheese in my package. The same lady said to get two containers from the cooler in front of the counter. Sbe did not offer a paper bag. No thank you or goodbye when I was leaving. Panara Bread it is for my next bagel purchase. read more

Im a regular customer at the memorial location . (Which i love!) But i live out in Richmond. So far I've been to this location 3 times since they have opened and all 3 times i have been disappointed. At first i was soft hearted thinking it's new location give them time. but let's be real it's been months! And same non smiling faces who can't get a basic order right without the delay , i literally get a basic bagel cut nothing else . They forgot a bagel in my bag second time they forgot my whole order number and had me waiting 25 min, now the third time my bagels are cut horribly (look at pic!) . I feel like the manager really needs to re hire. Not sure what's going on but it's literally not rocket science it's bagels! The food is fine, don't get any of the lemonades or water based drinks...the water used to make them has an after taste...i trashed mine cause I didn't wanna risk it. I have to take off two points because of typical Eninstein Bros Bagels franchise shenanigans -- they wont toast your bagels if you buy a dozen..this is silly. They wont toast them even if a customer specifically requests it..I saw all these bagels being toasted but they refused to taste my dozen even when I specifically requested them to be toasted. They need to point this out explicitly on their menu so people who want the convenience of taking dozen or half dozen bagels for a gathering also pack a toaster in their car and an 1000 feet extension cord to plug the toaster in if the local city park has outlets (rolls eyes). For this I have to take off a solid 2 stars. Staff is nice and there is plenty of them...also Einstein continues to employ 1 Barbie Oven for their entire store so everything is going to take longer...and God forbid that oven breaks...they usually just shut down the store when the Barbie oven breaks..thats what happened on my last trip to Einstein Bagels memorial location. And no..they never update anything on social media or google. This location currently shows as "temporarily closed".... updated 06/16 Maple Breakfast Bagel is a definite win - the egg is cooked fresh and not from a carton. Aside from both our orders being wrong, giving us the wrong bagels for our breakfast sandwiches, this is not the Einsteins I remember. There is something wrong with how the bagels are made. They don't look right and the texture is wrong. They are weirdly soft and chewy inside. I can consider myself an Einsteins Bagel connoisseur as many years ago my son baked bagels at an Einsteins and we tried most of them. Also the coffee in my latte tasted burned. read more

We go here every week since it opened and every week we order the same thing, and every week it's wrong. My husband has gone back almost every week to have the order fixed. By way of example, they left the egg and cheese out of my egg and cheese sandwich, they will forget to put on the aioli, they will forget parts of the order as a whole. Brisket was scarce, ended up taking it out anyways as it tasted like plastic. Will chalk it up to them still under training. Probably try again in 60 to 90 days.
