I was immediately attracted to the marionberry bagel, and am addicted - It is actually stuffed with berries! The owner, Mark is on-hand to make suggestions and answer questions. It will be my life mission to get his recipe and have his bagel legacy live forever. This is BY FAR one of the best places to eat in Redding. Now that I live in San Diego, I make it a point to eat here every time we come back to Redding. The ambience is exactly what I look for in a coffee shop. Confident and experienced baristas who know exactly what they're doing. They were able to help make suggestions and fill me in on the seasonal food items. The brick wall, large windows, and endless seating options really made the area feel open. The food and drinks came out very fast. The coffee was delicious, pastries were good. After finishing up our early morning coffee and snack we headed over to the Photo Booth located in the main seating area and took some memorable pictures. Bathrooms are very clean! Staff gave us a code, no issues or delay. Overall we had a very nice time. Thanks for starting out our trip right!

SO disappointed in this place. We saw the high ratings and…read morewere excited to try it. We went on Labor Day. 1: our waitress was so incredibly RUDE. She had an attitude about everything, forgot drinks, and literally just set everything we got at the end of our table and made us pass it down. What the hell. 2: we specifically wanted somewhere with mimosas. They sat us outside in front of the business and then when we attempted to order mimosas, our waitress told us we could not have them outside. WHY DID NO ONE SAY ANYTHING? Why would you not make sure to mention this to guests before seating them? This alone makes me knock off 2 stars. 3: because we were outside, the sun was beating on us. We had kids with us, and there were sunshades about 1/3 down, so I went inside to ask if we could lower them a bit more. I was told they had to be the ones to do it, and someone would be out soon. They never came and did it so we just adjusted everyone best we could. 4: cherry on top? None of the food was worth the trouble. 10 people and none of us felt it was better than subpar AT BEST. One of our kid's meals was the cold turkey sandwich, and it came out as massive chunks of turkey (like straight off the bird) and stale bread. Nothing else. The pearl waffles taste like straight sugar. No other flavor.

I have been coming to this Donut shop since it was Winchells. My dad would bring me here and we…read morewould get a couple donuts, he would get a coffee and I would get a chocolate milk. Now that I've moved back to the area my son is the age I was and its now my turn to create these memories for my son. Even though the name has changed the donuts are just as good as I remember. The breakfast sandwiches are your basic bagel or croissant sandwich but they NAIL it. Winchells had the bakers dozen that came with 13, Heavenly does the heavenly dozen that comes with 14. You just can't argue with a great fluffy yeast donut covered in glaze or frosting. Now, I have left the area and traveled around a little bit and 1 donut shop really holds a place in my heart is Reno Nevadas DoughBoy Donuts. They glaze then frost their donuts kinda like Krispy Kreme but they do it with the big old school yeast donuts. If Heavenly did that... they'd be number 1 in my heart.
