The women working the cashier was very kind and helpful. Absolutely fantastic quality of food and coffee! Our whole group was impressed with everything that we ordered. The stand out was the bacon Gouda sandwich on some phenomenal ciabatta bread. The bagel was outstanding. The pastry case was drool worthy and we'll have to come back to eat through it. Price wise its a bit on the pricey side but worth it for the quality you're receiving. Lots of free street parking available. Note for the cold brew lovers - they don't serve cold brew so be ready with your back up order.

Wow! I'm so happy I stopped in this cute little spot…read more It's a cute little shop tucked into a small office building in a residential area. It's small but not too small with the outdoor and upstairs seating. I was quickly greeted by the very friendly staff after walking in. I asked "what's the best thing on the menu if I was never to be here again (I'm a driver and likely won't)" and she said the bacon Gouda and boy oh boy was it good! The bacon was very high quality and so was the bread. The cheese was super melted and made the almost garlic buttery mayo taste even better. I would highly recommend it and would recommend this place!!

Whistle Stop Coffee Shop is a fantastic coffee shop on Main Street in Lee's Summit…read more I met a friend there this morning for coffee, but I was able to order a French Vanilla pour over. The beans were ground fresh for me. I love French Vanilla coffee, but it's not my wife's favorite. So it was nice to be able to get a cup and enjoy it. I also ordered biscuits and gravy and a glass of milk, which were very tasty. I brought my wife home a cinnamon roll which she enjoyed. She said it was good. The front of the house is pretty bustling and lively. At the back of the restaurant, there's a quieter room and outdoor dining on the patio. I will definitely be returning to this location. Special shout out to the staff, who were magnificent.

It's a pretty downtown location. The decor is cozy and nicely decked out for Christmas. - chairs. They spent a little extra on padded leather to save our butts. - service. They're quick and polite. - cleanliness. Now for the less good: - layout. Everything feels tight. It's prettier than it is practical. - drink quality. My daughter found her spiced chai (pictured) overly sweet. And if you look at the pic, you'll notice that they gave her basically 2/3 of a cup. That pic was taken before she took a single sip (yes, I know the straw I used to show the amount looks used; I did use it to search for a tea bag in my tea fog. See below!). My cinnamon/butterscotch tea fog was, to put it politely, unimpressive. I left it steeping at least 15 minutes because it was way too hot to drink. And then I had to get a straw to search for tea bags, because it tasted like hot foamy water and I was convinced they'd forgotten to put the tea bags in. Well, they hadn't. There was one tea bag. My standard of comparison is Gusto over by Longview, which makes the best tea fogs in town. They use two tea bags and it tastes like heaven. Whatever they served me at Whistle Stop tasted like perfumed water. So overall, I give it a 3/5. Points for location and decor and nice chairs. But the main attraction should be the drinks, and they were both kinda terrible. And there's just no excuse for serving someone 2/3 of a cup when we're paying $6 for a small drink.

I opted for the bread on the side. They put croutons in the soup. Fine, I'll deal with it. Just preferred a fruit instead of two breads. Took a couple bites, noticed how it didn't taste that great. That's OK not everything is Michelin starred. But then I found foil or metal shavings in the soup. OK whatever I got a refund and went to leave. I stopped to mention that she had the wrong information about the soup. She completely ignored me until I gave up and walked out. I get it, she doesn't want a Karen situation. Neither do I. Only meant to help her out. Definitely won't be back to that location. Management was 10 out of 10.

This isnt rocket science, it wasn't that busy, also, most people order from the Kiosks. The sandwich was atrocious. Chicken Fontega(?) is usually my go to when pressed to eat here. The cheese wasn't melted. Just a giant clump of whatever white cheese (Mozzarella?). The "cooks" clearly see that it wasn't melted, yet served it anyway. Wild wild wild.
