I was low-key not wanting to come here cuz of some of the reviews, but I wanted decent bagels and I wasn't about to get bagels from a super market. I went in on a weekday around lunch time. There were only one other customer in front of me, and all I wanted were half a dozen bagels with some cream cheese. There were 2 employees, and while they didn't acknowledge me when I entered, (which I don't care about, but I know since people do), they were both nice when they started serving me. One of them did seem kind of lost, but it didn't take long to get my order. I was in and out, pretty fast, and the bagels are what I expected them to be. I wouldn't mind coming back. read more

I ordered on the app, saw that it declined and went to the store. I checked if my food was there just in case. It wasnt. I ordered and paid in store. I find out a couple days later that my card was charged for the online order that declined. I went back to the store and asked the manager to give me a refund. The manager did not bother to greet me and ask the other employee to tell me that it is corporate problem and not theirs. She said that corporate does not allow them to give any refund because it is a glitch on the app for new iphone updates. you should be shutting down your app. if you're going to be charging customers for food, they did not receive. It has been seven days and I still haven't gotten a response from corporate. read more

I've never really been a bagel person before (never had a bagel in my life before going here), but after my handful of visits to this particular Einstein Bros, I've been partially swayed into preferring bagels over donuts as my go-to torus-shaped snack (tbh). The bakers seem to be severely under appreciated by the typical reviewer, and deserve a lot more recognition for working from before the store even opens until closing. Every bagel seems to be made with the utmost care/consideration and have delivered in terms of taste and quality without exception (they also deliver with Doordash). As for the other employees, they repeatedly leave me with a smile on my face from the moment I walk through those doors to the moment I walk out. They're all so kind and ring me up in record time (even during rush hour). One of the employees that has stood out to me the most and that I find myself running into during most of my visits named Bella (or was it Michelle?) always brings her best attitude and helps make the 20+ mile trip to my favorite bagel shop worthwhile (There aren't any Einstein Bros locations where I live. Expansion into areas that currently do not have any would be pretty sweet). My only complaint is that I can only digitally tip the employees a maximum of three dollars. That is no good. They deserve my entire paycheck. Please let me tip them more. Other than that, there isn't really any negatives that I could attach to this Einstein Bros. Consistently great bagels. The avocado bagel was a bit stingy on the avocado because it was very thin and they did not spread it all the way around the corner. I like their hazelnut coffee. I love coming in and grabbing a box of bagels for my coworkers on Friday mornings. The box contains 13 bagels with 2 cream cheese containers for a reasonable price. They even pack napkins and plastic knives to go for you. The bagels are always so fresh and delicious. Some of my favorites are the cheddar jalapeño and the Asiago. They have some great cream cheeses too. Try the jalapeño salsa if you enjoy a little spice. Onion and chive is always safe bet. I also enjoy the cold brew coffees. I would recommend downloading their app and creating an account for rewards. I already acquired a free bagel w/cream cheese. This place has really good bagels and cream cheese. The toasted bagels are very good here and I would recommend this place for people who likes to eat bread. The only problem is that the costumer service is not so good. The person who works there doesn't seem to know what they are doing. They are not so welcoming and they don't let costumers toast bread. For me bagel that is not toasted is not good. I think that the Einstein bros bagel should make sure for the worker to know what can be done and what can't. Worst experience trying to order their food. I'm sure the bagels are good but trying to order order in line is a nightmare. You'll need to either order on their stupid app or doordash. You might think I'll just door dash it, think again. Doordash only offers their basic bagels. If you want the full menu then your stuck ordering on their APP. I tried to order on the APP and my order didn't go through but the app charged me twice. I called the store and they couldn't offer any help and told me to go to the FAQ's page... they wouldn't take my order over the phone and told me to come to the store and wait 40mins for my order. read more

The easiest thing to volunteer for a work breakfast pot-luck, bagel box and comes with two types of shmear! You can be in and out of here in mere minutes. The boxes come pre-mixed so your barely awake brain doesn't have to make any more decisions than necessary, all you need is to pick out the two flavors of shmear and you're good to go. I went with Honey Almond and then Garden Veggie for balance. Hint if you don't know what to get, you can tell which ones are popular but the dwindling amounts of tubs. You can also choose to make your own baker's dozen box if you're particular. Just point them out just like at a donut shop, the top shelf of bagels will cost you extra though as they are covered with extra tasty things. I really like their bagels, fresh and soft with a nice chew. Though co-workers preferred to toast theirs saying it was "too soft". Plenty of parking here in the morning, since it's the Whole Foods shopping plaza. Friendly, quick service and you've become the office hero YAY carbs for everyone. :) read more

My company caters from here so I have enjoyed plenty of Einstein bagels and all the schmears (Plain, Onion & Chive, Garden Veggie, Smoked Salmon, Garlic Herb, Jalapeno Salsa, Honey Almond and Strawberry). I stopped by to try a seasonal bagel. Pumpkin Bagel *Burnt edges but they added a nice crunch *Strong pumpkin flavor Honey Almond Schmear *Thin layer that was slightly runny *Sweet with tiny pieces of almond slices The schmear was too warm and changed the texture and taste of the cream cheese. Next time I will have to ask if it's possible to have the schmear on the side. If not, I will pick up a few bagels with a tub of their schmear. Overall, the bagel shop was very clean and I love their hexagon floor tiles! read more

Came here after Panera did not have my favorite Cinnamon Crunch Bagel (if you haven't tried that, it's bomb af) and I ordered their Cinnamon bagel and a cold press coffee to eat in their store. Cinnamon Bagel 4/5: I still love and prefer Panera's cinnamon bagel more, since it has lots more crunch and cinnamon on top BUT this does the trick just fine as well. I absolutely loved that the bagels already come with a thick layer of cream cheese on top since it's always a struggle to not make a mess while spreading that. It's convenient and creamy Cold Press Coffee 5/5: I had low expectations, but it's actually pretty great! I added their housemade hazelnut creamer and MY GOSH it's the best! Customer was not amazing or beyond service.. not even a simply hello or a smile from the cashier..tip is optional not to say you should not tip, if they state optional there no option to not to, for that reason the machine they have there is not giving the only option was $1 more tip. I mean it was early there was no hello or smile, I felt not wanting to tip cause the simply service or common curiosity wasn't there Here what CA said about America, tipping is optional in name only. Legally it's voluntary but if you slink out of a restaurant without leaving a gratuity of between 20 and 25 per cent, you're likely to be chased by a waiter demanding to know why. So I came in to order a bagel sandwich and they were out of the bagel for the Texas brisket and they said they would substitute or you could substitute any other bagel for that but then they wouldn't allow me to add bacon for a substitute because they didn't have the proper bacon jalapeno cheese bagel then they wouldn't even allow me to keep a coupon because i didnt get tge proper sandwich service here is marginal at best they could be a lot better manager shouldbhave let it slide since they were out of the bagels i wanted and gave mr a cheaper bagel substitute instead. I really enjoy this location, have been coming here for over a year now and service is always really great and quick. The bagels are definitely the highlight and their bagel sandwiches are a great little breakfast/brunch. I love that there's plenty of vegetarian options for people as myself. The coffee bar is always serving great drinks too. I love their signature Vanilla Hazelnut Lattes. Coffee with my bagel is the way to go. Seating is never an issue, always plenty of seats to be found but I only go close to the afternoon, so I'm not sure how the mornings are. This is my place to go for bagels. Today I was disappointed in the customer service. The person taking my order had me shouting at her. It was rather noisy except she seemed impatient. When I went to the register to pick up my order same thing the person there was impatient and chitchatting with her coworkers. When I completed my purchase and was putting away my change she shouted out"NEXT" not looking at me I'm a senior citizen that was RUDE on her part. Thier was only one woman behind me. We were the only 2 adults in the store. The Bagel display case had a pretty good amount of crumbs on it and that needed to be wiped off. Worst customer service experience ever. They gave away my pre order when I arrived there early around 8:30am. So now I'm trying to replace my order with bagels. Then their manager or whoever says they need a specific bagel for an order and literally takes it from my box and gives it to the manager??!!!. Her reasoning is because they paid already??!! Absolutely terrible. I'm from out of town; just visiting for the weekend to go to a tailgate party for this weekend's USC game. I found this Einstein's location as it was close to the game location earlier this morning while I was en route to the field, so I decided to stop in for breakfast. I've been to Einstein's several times in my home state and it was great, so I figured this spot would be a safe bet. Boy, was I wrong. I ordered my food at the register like everyone else; one of my items was a strudel. The cashier gave me my strudel while the kitchen crew worked on the remainder of my order (it was 1 Farmhouse bagel and one toasted Asiago bagel). The store was extremely busy - after I paid, I had to wait at least 15 minutes for the remainder of my food. Normally, this is no problem for me. I have no problem being patient and waiting. I've worked in the service industry for over 5 years myself so I am sympathetic. HOWEVER - This was by far the worst experience I've had at an Einstein's, regardless of how busy it was. This is what happened. One of the workers decided to publicly embarrass me and completely ruined my experience. COVID restrictions were still in place at this store - I can understand that. There were signs everywhere about how customers cannot dine in or sit. That was fine, I obey the rules - as I waited for my order, I stood against the wall while obeying the rules just like all of the other customers. As I was standing there waiting for the rest of my food, minding my own business, I took a bite of my strudel as I was hungry and in a big rush to get to the game field. I was keeping to myself and was completely minding my own business by the wall. One of the workers leaned over the kitchen counter and loudly yells out "MAAM, YOU CANNOT EAT IN HERE. PLEASE PUT THAT AWAY", while pointing and staring at me. Literally everyone in the store turned around to stare, as if I just committed a crime or something! Excuse the heck out of me? I literally just bought my strudel from this place a minute ago - you guys are extremely busy and I'm here waiting patiently, and I can't have a bite of my food that I PAID for while I wait? While standing, since your store blocked off all the chairs? Seriously? There was not even any sign in sight about this "policy". I felt so embarrassed being put on the spot like that. It was completely uncalled for and unprofessional. On top of that - when I got my food 10 minutes later, my order was COMPLETELY wrong. None of the items i ordered were in the bag, even though they put my name/label on the bag. The cashier handed me a completely different order and unfortunately I did not realize this until I was already miles away. $15 and over 20 minutes of my time wasted. Thank God I don't live here so that I never have to see this location or it's employees again. A complete disgrace to Einstein's. Expect me to contact corporate about this. This is regarding the 3711 E Foothill Blvd, Pasadena, CA location. I called today Mon. Dec. 23rd around 10:15am to place an order and someone from the staff answered, fumbled with the phone and then hung up. Then when I called back they didn't answer, it just rang and rang. After trying a few times to get someone to answer, they must have taken the phone of the hook because when it connected it had a busy signal and that busy signal has continued for a VERY long time and it's still busy as I write this. The store is open today and I'm calling during business hours and so there should always be someone to answer the phone. If they're so busy that they won't answer the phone which seems to be the case today, then they are understaffed. Either way this no way to run a business. Someone should always answer the phone during business hours and it's inexcusable that your staff ignored the call and then took the phone off the hook. This reflects poorly on all management at Einstein Bagels including the district manager but in this case the store manager is the main person to blame. I'm sure a manager was in the store today when I tried to call and they allowed the phone to ring without being answered, and allowed them to take the phone off the hook. In my opinion this wouldn't be a manager I'd want running one of my businesses. It's inexcusable that this was allowed to happen. It's very bad customer service. read more

I love their veggie bagel! It comes with a smear, lettuce, tomato, onion, avocado and cucumbers on a delicious sesame bagel. They were offering a non dairy milk for the ice coffee for a couple weeks but then got rid of it. I was really enjoying getting my coffee from there with a bagel. Somewhat disappointing, I ordered the lox brunch that comes with cheesy hash browns and a blueberry muffin. I picked up my order and went on my way.... I opened the stapled brown bag and realized they had it mixed up with the lox lunch that is just chips.... So I had to drive back and inform them.... They corrected the order so thanks for that... two stars because I enjoy the food but the service was a little lacking. The cashier I pointed out the mistake to was super nice about it but I can't say much about else.... Ordering ahead has been hit and miss the last couple of years.... There is always a ton of people waiting in line so it is the better option but you have to check the order before leaving. Come to check out these delicious & freshly bake bagels everyday. When I took a bite it is so soft and amazing. There are more varieties to choose and must buy different type of cream cheese flavor. I bought half dozen bagels. The onion is regular size. However, the sourdoughs is much smaller and the ancient grains is super thing. I ask them to slice my Begal, they can do it on the ancient grain. It puts a lot effort to cut the begal. I ate the one with spinach, the veggie is over cooked, no good taste. The price is not matching Panera seems have more selections and better service the product. I would never try this place any more. read more
