First time try ever and it was pretty descent . Try the steak bagel with the jalapeño bagel. Typical coffee and tea selection. The place was pretty busy , apparently good spot for casual meetings or school. My only issue the employee taking our order had no energy at all whatsoever. Not asking to smile and do do a little dance but at-least a greeting. I much rather use a kiosk to order that the lack of engagement. Food is good and will try again.

Bagels are good, but the staff doesn't care how they present the food. Pic of the bagel when I asked them to slice it -- ridiculous!! Definitely over priced, but when they are the only game in town they can charge a lot.

Order your heart shaped bagels for Valentine's!

It's a great place to go to get a lot of southern comfort foods, some with nice twists as well, and it has a full bar, and open for all meals I believe. We went years ago to the first location in Knoxville, maybe a few times, but felt "been there done that" as more and more good restaurants came downtown. Happy to see this new location, closer to a lot of things we do in west Knox. I had a GREAT lunch. Bloody Mary, then one of their low-cost specials ($11 for a half sandwich and side, basically). The sandwich was hot chicken with ranch and pickles and it was scrumptious. I had a problem choosing sides- so many great options including brussel sprouts, fried okra, Mac&cheese and salads.....I finally chose the green beans with bacon. Oh, they were soooo good. I could have made my meal just that and some cornbread. Next time I may get a veggie platter or just get extra sides, gotta try the others to see if they are cooked as well. So how can I not give that 5 stars?

I ordered the pork chop and eggs platter, substituted cheese grits for the potatoes, and added sausage. I wasn't quite sure why the pork chop came with another meat, but honestly, the sausage ended up being one of my favorite parts of the meal. The pork chop is brined in sweet tea, which gives it a subtle sweetness that worked really well. The cheese grits had a great texture and flavor, and my eggs were cooked perfectly. I'm pretty particular about eggs, so I always appreciate when a kitchen gets them exactly right. The atmosphere was also really nice. There were lots of families and groups enjoying brunch, but it never felt too loud or overwhelming. It had a comfortable, relaxed feel that made the experience even better. We're not expecting ultra-authentic Mexican food everywhere, but if you can't even get close, maybe don't put tacos on the menu because this felt genuinely insulting. We ordered the "small" taco board that we were told would feed 2-3 people, and it came with bland shredded chicken that tasted boiled, plus carrots, sugar snap peas, mushrooms, and corn scattered across the board like stir-fry vegetables. It also included the smallest portion of steak with chimichurri (Argentinian not Mexican), bland green salsa, terrible store-bought tasting red salsa, and "homemade" tortillas. There was almost no seasoning or flavor in any of it. The photo attached is just the chicken portion of the board because honestly the rest wasn't even worth photographing. The $15 guacamole was also extremely underwhelming for the price -- tiny portion of chips, one tiny lime wedge, and we were brought salt so we could finish seasoning it ourselves. Service was okay, but overall spending around $75 for two beers, guacamole, and food we barely wanted to finish was frustrating. Sadly, the ambiance and decor were the best part of the experience. Safe to say we will not be coming back.

I ordered The Farmer, a chicken biscuit with cheese, bacon, and apple butter. The biscuit was warm and fresh, the bacon was crispy, and the chicken patty was quite substantial. The poor thing was drowning in apple butter though, which made it too wet (and too sweet). Even scraping some of it off it was already too soggy. A tad less sauce and it would be perfectly balanced. The smashbrowns had a nice crisp and I enjoyed the kick of the pepper jam. Also, big fan of the cute coffee bar. I could taste the hints of maple in the coffee. If I have to eat out for breakfast, Maple Street seems to be a good choice. And yes, this location is on Kingston Pike not Maple Street.

Staff was sweet, just seemed overwhelmed. The food itself was good. The goat cheese and pepper jelly were a great combo, and I personally loved the apple butter, though my partner thought there was too much. Overall, good food if you have time to wait.

My server was super nice and attentive so that was a plus. I sort of feared that my meal was going to end up in utter disaster, after I ordered what was supposed to be a caesar salad. You can see from my pictures, it's not. I don't even think it was Romaine, I think it was butter lettuce, but the lettuce was so warm and limp, it was like somebody left the salad on their dashboard with the sun beating down on it. No croutons, which was nice because I don't eat them anyways but at this point I'm starting to get skeptical because I just spent Texas Roadhouse type money on a truck stop diner. I got the surf and turf with sauteed shrimp and broccoli. I got to say, the steak, even though it was a dollar store steak, the cook made it perfectly for me, I ordered rare, and that's what I got. I hate to desecrate beef, but I had to season her up with a little bit of A1 steak sauce. I'm not overly disappointed, I knew what I was walking into, I just wanted to try something different than what I typically get at this place. But I do know the cook knows his stuff. I would eat here again though. It was decent, but I wouldn't recommend dropping $26 on the surf and turf. ***DISCLAIMER*** This pure, uncut, honest review is federally protected under Federal Law by way of Bill #EO14149. I chose the Mix & Match entree for $16.69 -- a multi-cheese grilled cheese with a house salad. While the sandwich was the cheesiest and so good, the salad was a bit disappointing with lettuces, a few cold cherry tomatoes (a couple whole and a couple cut in half), a few cucumber slices and croutons. No cheese, no onions, no nuts. It did come with ranch dressing. My Arnold Palmer, while tasty, cost $4.29 -- a bit pricey for a mix of lemonade and iced tea. My friend enjoyed a tuna melt that looked delicious and tasted so (she said) that came with a ramekin of soup and French fries. The soup and fries were okay. The restaurant is decorated pleasantly, and has a full bar to the right as you walk in.
