Fortunately the front desk had what I needed. The food itself was just ok. Very disappointed for my first experience with Black Bear. Friends have told me that Black Bear is known for their Breakfast. Maybe I will try them in the future for breakfast.

Hairo (not sure how to spell his name) did an excellent job keeping everything around my table especially clean and made sure I had everything I needed. What really stood out, though, was the exceptional customer service. Every employee I interacted with was friendly and welcoming. Even as I was leaving, someone thanked me for coming in and said they hoped I had enjoyed everything. Those small touches made a big impression. I can't say enough about how great the customer service was at this Perkins. If I'm ever flying through Salt Lake City again, I'll definitely be back.

Between the snow-capped mountain scenery surrounding Salt Lake and the genuinely warm service here, it just became part of the experience for me. Both visits this week I treated myself to burgers because... apparently that was the assignment The brunch burger special instantly became one of my new favorites. I ordered fries before remembering the burger already had hash browns on it... or maybe I "forgot" on purpose. Don't judge me lol. If I have to break out a fork and knife for a burger, we're already heading in the right direction. The second visit I went with the A1 Tangler and onion rings to compliment what was already on the burger again ‍ see the method to my madness here? Food came out hot both days, service was genuinely friendly with real smiles, and the atmosphere just made me love this area more and more. Then came the pecan pie. I was fully considering milk with it until she asked, "Would you like ice cream with that?" YES. Absolutely yes. The shrimp would've been better if it was seasoned and grilled. I won't go back most likely, unless I'm with someone who wants to go there. It's not near me and not worth going out of my way for it.
