Every time I come here I ALWAYS experience bad customer service! I end up coming back a couple months later and it's still the same BS. I accidentally named a food item wrong and I got made fun of for it instead of corrected! So unprofessional! My third visit, they were rude on the drive thru speaker and got my order wrong at the window and I didn't hear a sorry or thank you or even a greeting! I thanked them for fixing my order, no "your welcome". Haha this location is a JOKE. Hire better employees! If you don't enjoy your job, apply somewhere else. Don't take it out on the customer. Honestly, I love Einstein Bros. Bagels. The asiago cheese bagel with the honey almond schmear is like sweet and savory heaven. However, I think I'd rather drive 15 minutes out of my way to another Einstein's before ever going to this location again. I've been to this particular location on three separate occasions to pick up breakfast for my office. I always order the same thing - a bucket of bagels and a couple tubs of shmear. The first time. I waited for 8 minutes before being helped, and then another 10 for the bagels (which at other locations are already in the bucket and ready to grab and go). The next time, I ordered a pumpkin latte which was not only terrible, but was dripping out the sides of the cup because the lid wasn't even all the way on, again, there was a long wait for bagels that should have already been ready to go. The final time (and the last time I will EVER go to this location), I went through the drive-thru, and was greeted by a woman who simply said "HOLD ON A MINUTE!" As if I weren't put off enough by the rude greeting at the speaker box, it took another 5 minutes for my order to be taken. Again, I waited 10-15 minutes for a bucket of bagels, and when I got them, noticed that BOTH tubs of shmear were missing. I went back through the drive thru and mentioned that the cream cheese was missing, and rather than being apologetic and asking me to pull up, they responded with, "Are you SURE!? I seen her put it in there, I think you ain't looking!" Uh yeah, I was sure. Why would I try to scam these people out of extra cream cheese we wouldn't even use. Finally, I got the shmear and left, but when I got to work, I had a bucket of nothing but poppyseed bagels. Several issues with this location. They are SLOW, RUDE, GROSS, NOT READY FOR CUSTOMERS. I had to wait and wait and wait for our order. While I waited I watched the employes "workin" One guy was taking trash and i watched him make food without washing his hands. there were people just standing around and I saw a customer waited for coffee and had to ask for creamer I don't know how this place is still in business - maybe the health department should shut them down. This place is straight TRASH. Their employees are some of the rudest I've ever seen. Today my family went in for breakfast and we stand there where you usually have a sign that says "order here" but the sign wasn't there. We stand there a long time. This blond worker keeps looking at us so we are like "ok, she's about to help us" but nah she was just looking. So the lady in front of us who had been standing there longer than we have goes over to the cashier that has the sign that says "pay here". That kid takes her order. So we wait a little while and walk over to that cashier and said so I guess we order here? He points to the sign as though WE are the dumbasses and says "it says order here". I turned the sign around for him and say NO IT SAYS PAY HERE. Then he's like oh... not I'm sorry for your wait and then acting like you're an idiot.... so he proceeds to take our order. My husband orders a sandwich and he says they're out of some kind of bagel. My husband says I didn't order that bagel, I ordered whatever sandwich. So my daughter goes and reads the description on the menu that's far away from the cashier and it's made on the bagel they're out of. My husband is pissed and asks why didn't you say that??? As we were getting our drinks another customer says, these people don't know anything about customer service. You can't blame the kids who work there - it's the shit management/ownership. I LOVE Einstein's Bagels, but this location is awful! Ordered a wrap to-go. Waited over 10 minutes. Thought I saw my wrap sitting on the back counter for over 5 minutes, but didn't want to say something incase it wasn't mine. Workers saw me just stand there, but no one figured to ask what I was waiting for. I finally asked someone and lo-behold! the wrap just sitting there WAS mine! Second time I went there I ordered a bagel and coffee to go. Asked if they would put 2 creams and sugar in my coffee, but they wouldn't. They hand me my coffee, I stop to put my sugar and cream in, and the coffee is filled to the rim. Coffee spilled everywhere. read more

As a past employee of working here for 6 months this place is absolutely amazing if you're looking for; bad management, very slow service, high priced food that is made incorrectly more than half of the time, and don't even get me started with the portioning. So yea if you have 15 to 20 minutes to spare and don't mind haven your order redone maybe twice and waiting in a long line which by the way every week they're out of half the stuff you want then this is the place for you. I'm not one to do reviews, but this location must be reviewed. I have been here around 5 times. Although they only had 3 bagel options for me, this was the first time they finally got my order right (actually made the sandwhich correct and gave me my side), woo! Sadly, the lettuce was the most disgusting lettuce I have ever been given at a restaurant. I could smell something awful then looked closer and the lettuce was clearly old and slimey! Pay better attention people! The times I have gone in there are employees sitting around even when it is super busy and the employees behind the register are needing help. Absolutely awful experience, first they have decided not to bake ant more thin bagels ever again even though it's on the menu. next they had no regular bagels. We asked them to refill the 2% milk and then they claimed they are out but didn't even look. While the cashier was pleasant enough the lady in charge was very unpleasant. This location closed before 2:40pm on Saturday, 10 June. The employees had pretty much finished cleaning when I arrived. After calling customer service, the "manager" (I use that term loosely) reopened the location. He told me they closed because they "had nothing to sell" - surprising since there was a large box of bagels on the counter! This elicited another call to customer service since I did not understand closing if there is available product for sale. I must be old fashioned. I would NOT recommend this location. read more

Astounding poor customer service today (11/29/15, 1:23PM off receipt). Upon entering into an empty restaurant (and I see now why it was empty), I went to the "Order Here" spot and decided upon what I wanted to order. After a relatively long wait because one person was helping the drive thru, and finally her co-worker was bothered to come up to help, I was ready. A few other customers happened to come in and the employee who finally came up front to help decided to just help anyone, and not in order of guests coming into the restaurant. She also started taking orders from the drive thru register as opposed to the "Order Here" register. I confronted this employee asking why she was not taking orders in the spot that was clearly marked for "Order Here". At this point, this employee became defiant and simply said "we don't take orders from there now". Astounding that, as the paying customer, I have to try to guess what rules this employee is going to change based upon nothing more than her mood at that moment. Given it was an empty restaurant when my friend and I walked in, there was clearly time for the employees of this location to put up a sign asking guests to order at another register if that was what was needed - but that was apparently too much work for this employee. The employee at the register continued to take the order of the guest that came in after me, though the other employee finally asked if she could start making an order. I ordered the Turkey, Avacado & Bacon sandwich. When asked what bread I wanted, I said the potato roll that's listed on the menu would be fine. I was then told, "we don't have that anymore" - again, in spite of something plainly posted on their wall rules get changed. At this point, one of the other guests in the restaurant waiting in line (but was passed up by the guest who came in after all of us), left without ordering. Had I not been with a friend and we were hungry, I would have left too since these employees (especially the one who came out after a delay) clearly do not understand basic customer service or taking guests in the order they entered the restaurant. No apology for this poor experience, and not even the most basic action of "thank you" for my business and supporting their jobs. My friend with me said he had been going to this location more often in the past but stopped going because, you guessed it, poor attitude and service. Given this, it is clear to me management at this location is leading this service (or lack thereof). Unless Einstein calls to rectify this situation in the email sent, you can rest assured I will not be returning. read more

We had been across the street for lunch so this was good place to stop for a bucket of bagels. There was a good selection of bagels event at the lunch hour time. Seems like the prices continue to go up and up on the bucket of a dozen bagels and two cream cheese tubs. Still Einsteins has the best bagels around. read more

I notice this store has an overall 2 star rating. That is high. I am officially done with this store. We have issues with the drive-thru every single time we come here. We have to shout and then repeat our order several times. Today, we had to repeat 'two power bagels' three times. We had to repeat 'peanut butter' twice. We had to repeat 'plain cream cheese' with the Grab 'n Go twice. When we got to the window the African American man working was rude. The young Hispanic guy handed us ONE power bagel when we had repeated TWO three different times. He walked away to get another one and the African American man stepped up. He never apologized or anything. He just stuck out his hand for the credit card for a second time to charge us for the bagel THEY forgot. I have called and spoken with this African American man whom I believe is the manager and complained to him. Nothing improves here. I am officially DONE with this store. We pass another store on the way to work. We'll be stopping there from now on. AVOID this store at all costs!! read more

I am not one to put bad things out there, but this location has many things to work on. I stopped this morning for a coffee and a bagel. This should not have been a difficult order. However, it took 14 minutes for me to get everything correctly. The guy who took my order seemed disoriented, and almost like he had no idea what he was doing. We went back and forth to ensure I had the correct order, a vanilla latte and a bagel with cream cheese. The employee, as a sat watching him through the drive thru window, seemed confused as to which order was which; he had to stop and speak with two other employees before I was able to get my correct order. After I got everything, he once again seemed confused as to how to take my payment, then just handed me back my card. As I stared at him bewildered, wondering how he continued to not know what was going one, he asked me if I was ok....ummmm, what? Then I had to ask for my receipt, just take sure I was charged correctly. This is what I get for stopping for breakfast before work. I'll stick with my normal einstein's in Flower Mound. I used to love this location. My best friend and I would go all the time. I used to go on my birthday. I would get the bagel and lox as a treat. Then, a week ago, I went there and the bagel and lox came out with half the lox. I had to ask for more. (The lox only covered half the bagel!) I ended up getting enough lox to cover the bagel. I thought that was just a fluke, but I went back today, and the bagel and lox were HORRIBLE! The bagel wasn't toasted, the schmear only covered maybe 75% of the bagel and it was very thin, and there was only enough lox to cover a little under half of the bagel. It was so pathetic looking. I asked for more lox, and I got half a slice on each bagel that barely covered the bagel. The store manager was glaring over the shoulders of the workers while they made my bagel. It's obvious that they are trying to cut down on their food costs at this store, and they are putting out inferior food. I will never return to this location. read more

Every time I go into this particular Einstein's my order is wrong. This isn't an every so often occurrence or a mistake made by the same employee, it is different mistakes made by different employees almost every time I go in there. Which is quite a few, seeing as I go there for breakfast or lunch almost every single day. I order the same thing every time I go as well. I'm talking about having it wrong 8 or 9 times within the last two weeks... so i decided it was time to say something. I very rarely have them fix my order,I just returned from there today, after having them correct my order, and the person working there spoke to me in a very hostile tone. My coffee order was wrong too, but I did not have her correct that, I just really wanted the sandwich I ordered. I'd drink the unsweetened regular latte, even though I was charged for a vanilla hazelnut latte. She made the sandwich wrong again, even though, when asked, I told her exactly how to make it. I did not have her fix it again, seeing as she practically shoved the thing in my face. There is another Einstein's that I also frequent because I work right across the street, over off Park in Plano, and the service there is exceptional. My order is always right, and out in a timely manner. I also go there multiple times a week. I order the same things there that I order at the restaurant over here, so I know that it is not my error that is causing a mix up every time I order at the Addison restaurant. My conclusion would be that this particular restaurant needs to invest in employee training on their menu and in customer service, and have more experienced team members as well as managers around during all shifts to help the newer employees and answer their questions, as well as keep the customers happy. read more
