This is a great place to have breakfast or lunch. Haven't had anything here that I didn't like. Best restaurant in Adams County!

Good dairy bar style type food. I can't imagine it's very healthy, but it sure is tasty.

The inside bar is beautiful. Bathrooms are nice but dark & was difficult for my 92yr old grandmother to access & use independently. (Terrible for low vision & reaching items.) Didn't see a handicap accessible bathroom. The staff was nice. We did have to hunt them down to pay our check, but otherwise, food & drink were tasty.

The Winchester Room for private parties, The entry dining room which is full of paned windows and the dining room adjacent to the bar area. We chose the entry dining room full of windows. It was cold that night but the decorative open fireplaces made the room cozy. We had a friendly server and she knew her menu well. I selected the Hot Brown . It came with a side salad and I enjoyed the homemade thousand island dressing. The hot brown was stacked high with turkey and country ham on Texas toast. It was loaded with mornay sauce and meted cheese. It had enough to make every bite cheesy. The wife had a classic cheeseburger with cheddar. It was dressed out with lettuce, onion and tomato. The fries came with it were hot and fresh. The train motif is throughout the entire place, even the clean bathrooms. There are a set of dual railroad tracks outside the windowed dining room. It was my first trip there without any trains going by. It is decorated for Christmas. You should try and go before the holidays end

This is one of the great steak & rib joints in Ohio. The rustic atmosphere of the restaurant adds to the ambience, and there is an excellent collection of memorabilia on display. The meat smokers are outside to the rear of the restaurant and worth a look when you come to visit. It's an amazing process. Portions are substantial. I have posted some photos of menus for your review. The interior consist of meandering rooms and a bar for seating. I have never found reservations to be necessary. And frankly, I'm not sure if they even take reservations. Carry out is available and when I come for lunch or dinner, I'll usually order an extra meal to take home. The food is that good. It all travels and refrigerates reasonably well.

I've heard people call it "the best steak I've ever had," which mostly made me wonder... where else have y'all been eating steak? Feels like the philosophy here is: "Why focus on quality when we can simply give you enough meat to feed a youth baseball team?" That said -- the service is great, the atmosphere is classic local favorite energy, and you will absolutely not leave hungry. Cheers to you, want rush back-but may find myself here again.

I got a tray with a pulled pork sandwich, cowboy beans, and coleslaw. The pork was very flavorful with just enough smoke for my tastes, and it went well with the barbecue sauce it came with. I was also impressed with the cowboy beans. Typically, I do not care for beans cooked with beef, but these had a good balance between the two. It also had different varieties of beans that I appreciated. It was savory and filled me up. Lastly, the coleslaw was also good but nothing to write home about. My lunch left me satisfied without being stuffed, which is often an issue I have with barbecue. The only complaint I could see with this meal is portion sizes. While it was a comfortable serving size for myself, I could see others finding the amount of meat given too little for their money and stomachs. Even with the sides, I considered this meal to be lighter than most barbecue I have had. After this experience, I cannot wait for a chance to have a meal at the actual restaurant.

We literally stopped at a pizza place just around the corner but it looked like either take out or limited seating. I googled yep I didn't use yelp sorry but everything I had found so far was closed. Well this was around the corner and right on the river. We pulled up and I thought it was closed as well, but I did see it was opened. We walked in and was shocked at it being very small town feel, well duh did you look at Ripley it is a small town. We sat down and ordered and I was super shocked at how good the food was and the service was good. Just before with left the waitress mentioned how good their burgers are and that they are hand made Pattie's. I can't wait to come back and try a burger and this is almost 2 hours from my house, but in my option so worth it. Fresh homemade bread, appetizers were house made as well as the dessert. So good and I will be back. The drive and the view was also worth it. Fun drive and great view.
