The DDS did not give the chance for the anesthesia to start working. My husband felt everything, heard the teeth cracking and had all three pulled in under 10 minutes. He was so terrible he has caused my husband to now have anxiety about dentists. When I saw my husband, he looked like he was beaten with a bat. His mouth bled for 3 days. The receptionists up front are calm and welcoming. The cleaning lady on the other hand who didn't introduce her self but probably removed my tooth enamel and ruptured my nerves was not personable at all and had no regard for my feelings. The X Ray lady was wonderful. She saw me view a text on my Fitbit then we chatted about technology. She recently joined Facebook and connected with family from Italy. She talked about how she had a dial telephone (my uncle Donald J on Yelp still has one :-)) and she talked about how back in the day there were no cell phones and if your car broke down you had to walk to a pay phone. Makes you appreciate all that we have today and take for granted. Dr. DeFeo is great! He's the reason I still come here as an adult. I like a familiar face and i like the idea that I grew up coming here. He always gives me an enthusiastic greeting "hey how have you been?! " He is very patient and attentive. He answers all of my questions and verbally prompts me of what he is doing (I don't like surprises). He makes me feel very comfortable. He is very personable and gets the job done. I still have memories of sitting in waiting room with my mom and brother looking through Magazines and they used to have a picture of Seinfeld showing off his teeth. Anyway ..long story short .. I needed implants but didn't have the necessary bone structure in my jaws. I required bone grafts and he told be he used "every trick in the book" to create what was needed to enable my jaws to successfully accept three implants. He's so highly skilled, explained everything he was going to do and did. I trust him implicitly. I now have another tooth that was more filling than tooth, and the filling fell out. My dentist recommended a consult for another implant. Dr. Sachs was my only call. Appointment Feb. 5th, 2025. This is THE PLACE to go if you need oral surgery. Dr. Sachs is the surgeon.
