They purposely do bad work to later make you need to fix the work. The crazy thing is they all have each others backs and cover for all the lies. They promise you certain things and then lie that they never said that. Every time i have been in there it seems that there is always new staff, turnover rate must be high due to honest people working there and realizing what they are doing to all of their clients. I told them that price was exorbitant and would not return. PS, I had my denture repaired elsewhere for 50 percent less. Never experienced anything like this before.

Initially, he saved my teeth when I had problems from a former dentist. In 2012, I was diagnosed with Leukemia (AML) which caused my teeth to decay due to the effects of two bone marrow transplants resulting in Graph Versus Host disease (GVHD). He coordinated his care with an Oral Pathologist & Oral Surgeon to determine if I could undergo implants. I've had seven implants which took a year to complete. I now have a full set of teeth again. He and his staff are so caring and the quality of what he did could not be any better. His treatment plan was amazing with a computer picture detailing every process for a year. He also arranged a financial plan to ease that burden. I would not hesitate to recommend him. If you want the best care, you will get it from him and his staff!

First off I'd like to say, I have had one dentist I loved (which was when I was 5) and then after…read morethat I hated every single experience after that. Dr. Planken changed my whole experience of dentistry. I did my research online when searching for a new dentist. The reviews on my insurance and on her website had nothing but good things to say about Dr. Planken. And I am here to add the same. I called to schedule an appointment with Dr. Planken as a new patient and there was no problem scheduling me in. The secretary ran my insurance prior to my appointment to make sure I was covered. She also has new patient forms that you can fill out prior to your appointment so it goes smoother. Dr. Planken took me right in and asked about my prior dental history and other screening questions. It was a surprise to me that she also did the cleaning (which is usually done by a dental hygienist). I questioned this and Dr. Planken stated she does everything here. I found that it was much more personable and a more pleasant experience. Most of the time at the dentist, the hygienist does the cleanings and the dentist just comes in to poke around to see if there's any cavities at that's it. This was not the case. Dr. Planken conducted the cleaning, read the x-rays and did the whole exam. Like I said, I found the experience much more personable and very professional. I highly recommend Dr. Planken after my experience. She answered all my questions to the best of her knowledge and I am actually not dreading returning back to her office in 6 months. My trip was not close too. I drove from New Hyde Park to Wantagh for my appointment and there are plenty of dentists in and around my town. But I believe in the quality of good healthcare and Dr. Planken will definitely be my go to dentist from now on. Thank you Dr. Planken for changing my experience of dentistry for the better!
