This was without a doubt, the worst service provider I have encountered in my 48 years as a homeowner. They sent a "specialist" out first to survey my home and try to sell me a humidifier. He refused to take my payment and said the technician would take my payment. 2 days later the technician put some traps around the outside of my home and was reluctant to take payment, saying the specialist should have done that. He said if I used a credit card it would take about 30 minutes to get it approved, so I wrote a check. A week later I got a bill. I called the office to see where my check was. They couldn't find it. One month later I got a call stating they had found my check. The technician told me he would return in 2 weeks to reassess the situation. Never heard from anyone for a month when I got a call from the technician saying he was at my home and couldn't get in. I was at work and had never received a call about a scheduled visit. A week later another technician arrived to survey the inside. I have never see such a lack of coordination! I cancelled my contract. Save yourself money and headaches! read more

I'm not sure what happened to this company. Was a previous customer here for many years, and recently signed up again. Our former tech was still there, but informed us after the first service that he would be retiring ... disappointing, but well deserved on his part. My issue is the absolute lack of customer service. I can no longer contact a local branch with an issue, everything is an 800 number. Even the 800 number does not pick up. Tried the chat feature on their site.... evidently its just a button, not an actual chat because I was never able to chat with anyone. Have no way to verify services since they don't have my correct contact info. Just got an automated email confirming an appointment I did not make, pushed the button to speak to a csr to question the appointment and never connected with anyone. This has truly been a horrible experience, will be looking for a company that actually picks up the phone read more

I called Ehrilch Sunday and spoke to Russ and requested their emergency services that they charge an extra $150.00. I was willing to pay the price because I needed someone ASAP. They took my name, address and he said that he couldn't schedule me an appt because I was requesting emergency service for the following day and that the manager would call me Monday morning to fit me in. They never called me. I called them at 930am and was put on hold and nobody ever picked up. I had called 8 other places to help me. I finally got a local guy in York Maine who came out immediately and charged me significantly less money. I would never call Ehrlich again or recommend these people. Terrible service! read more

Just sat around all day for the very "convenient" 8-5 window and the exterminator never showed up or even bothered to contact me. I called around 4:00 when I suspected I was being stood up and was told that the exterminator would call me to let me know his status. I never received a call. I called again at 5:15 to follow up and was told that they couldn't get in touch with him. Thanks for wasting my time! read more

I have never been moved to write a review because an experience has been so horrendously awful. We purchased Ehrlich's pestfree365 program in which we are guaranteed quarterly home visits for maintenance and the opportunity to have a home visit whenever a problem arises. For the first few months, we were thrilled with the convenience of this program, however, it has all been down hill from there. What happened? 1. Specialists arrived at our home when we were not notified appointments had been made and informed us that if they were not allowed to come in now to service the home, they wouldn't be able to come back for weeks. 2. Specialists did not arrive at our home when we were notified appointments had been made. When I called customer service to discuss this, I was not even issued an apology-- just asked if I was sure no one came. 3. One specialist used neon yellow foam to fill wall gaps and informed us that this was the only color option-- a subsequent specialist that serviced the home asked us why we used that yellow color and not black like he had (yes, this specialist was also from Ehrlich). As home owners, we are not excited about having neon yellow foam visible when it did not need to be. 4. My guaranteed quarterly home visits were not being upheld, so I reached out to customer service and was told that the exterior of my house had been serviced on a specific date. NO problems we had ever involved the exterior of the home; all the services done were on the interior so there is no way that an exterior review could have been done for maintenance. Additionally, no note was left that a home visit had been made. Moreover, I was home the entire day that they told me someone serviced the exterior, and saw/heard nothing. I do not believe we ever received this service that we paid for. 5. When I called to explain my frustrations for the above-mentioned, I spoke with a costumer service agent, Nicole, who at the time seemed wonderful. She told me she forwarded my complaints to the manager and I would be called back that day or the next business day. 1 week later I still had not heard back so I emailed Nicole as she told me to do if I did not hear back. She never responded. This was 3 days ago. Today, I spoke with another costumer service agent about these issues and was assured I would I be contacted tomorrow. It will take a lot of explaining and compensation for the frustrations and services I did not receive (though paid for) to stay with this company. I hope to be able to update this review with a positive outcome after my conversation with a manager tomorrow. Update: I was not contacted by a manager today as promised, so I reached out once more and was told I would be contacted tomorrow. Update: 2 days after my initial post, I was contacted by a caring manager who has agreed to work on fixing the current issues and prevent any more moving forward. I was relieved to reach a resolution and will give this company one more chance. read more

We use Ehrlich's service on multiple properties. For our property in the Poconos, their service is very good. They come as scheduled, our tech is professional, when we are not home, he will leave notes about treatment done and things we could do to reduce the opportunity of a pest problem. For our properties in Hudson County, NJ, that's another story. I'm very close to firing Ehrlich. They sometimes show up unannounced; they sometimes will give you two or three days notice. Their latest twist was to robo-call me at 7:37 p.m. This is completely unacceptable. The field techs are friendly and seemingly helpful, and the people I've spoken to at their offices are solicitous. However, the management team at this company is apparently unconcerned with issues like this. I went a year between appointments because they couldn't figure out their scheduling, and I've started getting the hang of doing the exterminating myself. Next mistake and they're toast. If you can find a dependable exterminator that will work with you, you've found a gem. In North Jersey, that wouldn't be Ehrlich. read more

I used Ehrlich for pest removal in the crawlspace of my house, after rescheduling the service twice without informing me a technician finally shows up places a trap and disappears for a few days. The trap caught a raccoon the promptly pick up the raccoon and leave for another week in the meantime nothing else was trapped so as per the contract they are suppose to seal the entry point.. They use chicken wire to do so and say thats standard practice and anything more than that I would need a carpenter to close the hole more securely this whole thing was a waste of money read more

Paid my $300 already, said that covered 2 appointments. First appointment guy brought sticky traps and poison, ok, could do that myself, but thats fine. Said he didn't know it was for rats n would bring traps next time. So, today, he calls, says he is almost here, great! Calls back n says I have to wait for him to make a 3 hour round trip to get his supplies. I don't hold the service person at fault, but the company. I work long hours and can't wait 3 more hours for him to get supplies. So, I call the company. Will be 2 more weeks till they can come back. Ive already paid for this visit, and it's not my fault company doesn't communicate what specidified pest is, yet, I have to wait 2 more weeks, after waiting almost 3 already. This us the most horrible customer service and experience dealing with untrained professionals 8ve ever dealt with. We have used Connors (former name of company) for years and have suggested it to many of our neighbors until today. I believe that this company is NOT taking into consideration the well being of its clients. Today, an individual from the company came out to spray WITHOUT any prior approval. The individual came to our door and continuously banged until someone would answer. My wife attempted to ignore the noise but he was insistent. He wanted to enter our home and spray. Normally (and these are not normal times), I would happily let them in but we are a family with severe pre-exisitng conditions and have done everything to safeguard against this evil virus. Since the quartine, NO ONE has knocked on our door. Even the mailman and delivery people are not touching the door. It seems as though the new company just wants to ensure that it can keep billing its customer base and is not concerned at all about the safety and well being of its customers. As of today, I have terminated my contract with this company. Current and new customers be aware! read more

We signed up with Ehrlich last year, big mistake. We cancelled our contract in April due to not having any service since December. We were told no more monies would be taken out of our account. Checked our account and after being told no more money would be taken out they took another payment. Once they get your credit card number for payment you cannot get a hold of anyone to get them to stop taking your money. This company has taken over 200.00 of our money with no service. I would never recommend them to anyone. They are the worse company I have ever delt with. I think they should be reported to the BBB. read more

This company is completely pathetic and beyond unorganized. I am pregnant and have 4 dogs who have been exposed to a bug infestation. I called Sunday night and scheduled an appt to get our yard sprayed, as well as, discuss other mitigation. For Tuesday morning between 8-12. Monday afternoon, I called again to confirm the appt and make sure they were able to spray the lawn at the appt time and they confirmed on the phone. I then called at 11:30 AM on Tuesday to see where the person was and determine estimate time of arrival given we were nearing the end of the window, they confirmed that the person would be there soon and would be calling me soon. No call so I called back at 1:30PM to check on time again. The person on the phone said they have no record of an appt set up or what I was requesting to do. I talked to 3 DIFFERENT PEOPLE who confirmed my appt. They were to call me ASAP to discuss when they could come and at 4PM on Tuesday I am still waiting. Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service, I'm appalled and can't even get a call back from a supervisor to discuss this. You truly don't care about your clients, go find another pest control company, I promise you will not regret it, we lost a whole day of mitigation. read more

I scheduled an appointment for Hornets, they had been entering my home and swarming into the bathroom. They told me the window was from 1pm-5pm, two days from when I called to make the appt. I thought great this will be taken care of soon, as I dont want to risk getting stung. So I wait and wait around the day of my appt. And as its nearing 5pm with no one showing up I decide to call. Long story short they overbooked and told me I had to be rescheduled, and the manager was supposed to call and cancel the day prior but never called me to let me know. And they couldnt get to me until after the coming weekend. The manager was supposed to call me back next day to reschedule and never called me. I was furious. Not only had I waited around all day but I have dangerous stinging insects entering my home, and I'm talking like 10 bees killed daily in my bathroom. I needed help asap and Erhlich was not able to even schedule an appointment correctly. Needless to say I went with someone else local and was able to come 8am on a Saturday. THEY NEVER SHOWED!! We used to be customers of Hoban Pest Control and we were pleased with them. Then Ehrlich took over and now we're very unhappy. To reach them you must call a 1-800 number in which someone answers and tells you they're just an answering service and someone else will call you back. It's very impersonal and frustrating. We scheduled a treatment for today between one and three. My time is valuable and we waited for these guys to show -- they never did. When I called to find out WTH, I got the answering service again and they said someone would call me back right away. Hours later they slydialed my phone (a service used to bypass talking to someone and just go straight into voicemail), and said someone would be out tomorrow same time. THE HECK YOU WILL!!! I called back to say that we were not interested in using them anymore. The woman was nice and apologized but she told me she'd have to put me on hold to do something in the system to ensure nobody showed up tomorrow. WHA??? Several minutes later (are you kidding me? Wasting more of my time?), I just hung up. I'll be putting a sign on my door tomorrow that if they perform the service they will not get paid and I'll press charges for trespass. Stay away from this company -- it feels like a scam or something. I'll look for a local company, preferably organic, like Good Nature who does our lawn. read more

I am appalled at how I have been treated this year by Ehrlich. After paying 275$ and three visits that did not have success this company refuses to complete the work that I paid for. Unless , that is , I sign up for a yearly treatment plan. How do you expect people to pay more when you have demonstrated that you are not capable of completing the service that was already paid for? And the "service technician" that was to schedule my appointment was a hard sell sales person who was relentless in blaming the fact that I have trees in my yard for my ant problem as well as the fact that I was not smart enough to have already gotten a yearly plan. I read other reviews here and if Ehrlich is reading this, don't respond here telling me to email you the information. If you want to make this right contact me. I hired Ehrlich to get a rat in my house. They charged me $550 for a 2 step program, $350 was to go to the first step. They were to set new traps, replace poison in bait stations, look for and plug holes in house where rat could get in and out put down tracking powder and something else but I forget. They plugged two holes that were already plugged and moved 2 bait stations 6 feet, that was it, for $350. Stay away from this company, do a search and find a honest company. read more

Horrible company! Their website states emergency services available and I needed a bat removed from my home. While the dispatch was very nice and professional, she stated a rep would call me as quickly as possible. After 45 minutes passed, I had to call again and ask if someone would be calling me. Another 20 minutes passed and I finally received a call with South Jersey number on it. The agent was extremely rude and stated he would have to charge me $225/hour starting from when he left his house in Philadelphia and then drive to South Jersey. I stated your office is located in Cherry Hill and your cell phone is a 609 number, why can't you charge me from the location of the office. He stated "that's not how it works". Incredibly deceptive business practice and borderline extortion. This visit would have cost me almost $1000 when all said and done. The dispatch operator should have explained the cost and that the agent was over an hour away from their office location. Thanks to Google I was able to get the bat out myself! I would never do business with a company that takes advantage of people in a vulnerable position. Very, very unprofessional. read more

I contacted Ehrlich to remediate a bed bug problem on the advice of my Mother who had used them for this service. I made an appointment and was told a technician would come out, confirm or deny our suspicions and layout our options including price quotes. The night before the appointment I received a message from someone, who I think is subcontracted by Ehrlich, he told me I must return his call if I wanted to keep my appointment, so in the middle of a dinner party I left my guests to call him. Vern explained that he would not be coming out to identify our problem and "did not have time to go bed bug hunting". He explained he had 5 minutes for us at best during which time he would collect our money get a contract signed and prepare to send out another individual. The treatments ranged from $1400-$2500. Although I expressed that the more expensive option was entirely out of our price range he continued to harp on it's efficacy. The less expensive option, still very expensive, may or may not work. He explained the only option we had to determine that we definitively had the infestation before I agreed to contract treatment was to pay an additional $275 to have a bed bug dog come to the house. When I tried to explore an option we could afford (particularly considering we weren't certain this was a problem,) I mentioned perhaps having one visit and attempting to do part of the remediation ourselves using techniques I'd read about. At this point he laughed at me. The tone this individual took was dispassionate at best and condescending at worst. To be faced with a bed bug infestation puts people in a very vulnerable even desperate situation. My feeling was that because I could not afford the more expensive treatments he was not interested in working with me. In fact he at one point even said something to the effect of "...what do you want me to tell you, if you can't afford my services what do you want me to say...". Needless to say I cancelled out "appointment" and will be looking for a more professional technician who is able to treat us with respect and dignity. read more

We've been customers of Ehrlich for years and their service has been going down the tubes for several years and has finally hit rock bottom. Their technicians fail to show up time and again and blame the people in the office for failing to schedule the appointments they've set. But call the office and they tell you the technicians don't communicate with the office. All you get is pass the buck! The result is that we sit home on the appointed day waiting for a technician who doesn't show up. Today, 6/13/16, we had an appointment for 11- 1. Another no show. We called and were told that we were on the schedule for 6/30/16. Uh, NO! We have the technician's print out right in front of us that says 6/13/16. I've come to the conclusion that BOTH the technicians AND the office staff are completely incompetent!! read more

Stacey Carroll is sensational! She is very knowledgeable, punctual. polite, and enthusiastic. Stacy's expertise is impressive. She is very much an advocate for our safety as well as the structural integrity of our home. We are very fortunate to have Stacey! Just a few minutes ago she spotted a large yellow jacket nest right above our front door. Stacey quickly remedied this and provided us additional guidance so we can be aware of future nests. She is also someone who is very attentive to the small details that provide the foundation for excellent service. We live in a wooded area and Stacey helps us keep our outdoor neighbors outdoors! We've referred friends and neighbors to Ehrlich because Stacey is so wonderful! read more

I wish I would have looked at Yelped before I called Ehrlich more than a week ago. We are beyond dissatisfied with the lack of response and complete stonewalling. My wife and I have been calling the supposed local phone number in Sussex County DE which is not the direct line to the district office that is supposed to do the work. We keep calling daily and they keep telling us that they need to call the district office where the work will be done. Then after being on hold, they tell us no one is answering and that they will get back to us right away. But nothing has happened in more than a week. In the mean time we have had a family of birds squawking, banging on the vent pipes, making all kinds of noise all day long. We can't sleep as the vent is right next to our bedroom. This is driving us crazy. This morning we heard the same sad excuse...sorry no one is answering in the district office but we will send another urgent email. Today, the smell in the house started to get really bad so we decided to call another company...even though we had a signed but worthless contract The other company decided it was urgent and rescheduled a crew which arrived within an hour and promptly determined that the birds had broken through the vent and were nesting between the ceiling and floor above. It was disgusting...the filth and potential bird mites and other germs. Now we need a new vent, a large disinfection process and extensive dry wall work. Way to go Ehrlich...glad we could count on you. And to boot, the other firm is one-third the cost. We were told the same thing by another company. Way to go Ehrlich...charge a crazy high price and provide no service. Also, Ehrlich will not post my less than 5 star review...imagine that. read more

We've had the service plan for about four years now and are very happy with it. No complaints about customer service or billing (we have the service plan with monthly fee) but the real standout is our regular technician Stacey. My daughter calls her "the bug lady" and not only is she extremely nice and friendly, but she keeps my home pest free! Stacey gets 5 stars any day, but I knocked a star off Erhlich in general because of the appointment reminders; it's nice that they send them, but it's generally more confusing than helpful. We get the mosquito spray in the summers too (worth the money btw, it dramatically cuts down the number of bugs), and since that's an outside treatment no one needs to be home. However the email doesn't clarify if it's an indoor or outdoor treatment, so I'm never sure if I need to be home. But that's really just a minor inconvenience and usually I'm home with a napping baby anyway. read more

I hired Ehrlich Pest Control for bat exclusion services for my home in Paoli. They charged approximately $850 for about 1 hour of work and the job they did was sub-par at best. They were supposed to complete a thorough inspection of the residence and seal all possible entry points. They placed one bat door on an area I pointed out to them and then did nothing to seal any other possible entry points. I had to call several times to get them to come back out and complete the job and when they did, they sent one guy with a small ladder on a wet day who had no clue what he was doing. He sprayed some foam sealant in a few areas and that was that. Needless to say, the bats are still entering the home. read more
