The place have potential but still needs some fine tuning on both service and food…read more On service they have problems on catering for bigger groups when it comes to what drinks and food you ordered. They will run along the table and call out the drinks you or some at the table ordered and same with the food. So you need to pay attention and get there attention when you hear your drink or food called out. But all waiter and waitress was polite and respectful even if it can be hard to understand them in Norwegian as many of them don't speak the language fluently. The food is very average so don't have to high expectations. The codfish I had was ok but the potatoes was horrible and so over spiced that it killed the flavor of the fish. I had to start choosing what part of the food I wanted to eat. So don't expect a harmony of fusion flavor but more a crash and chock of flavor. In all this is not the place I would take some special or celebrate an important event. It is noisy but probably a good place to have lunch or if you're in a hurry. And I have a feeling that the chefs are better with small groups from 1 to 4 people the group sitting 10+ This could be because they are either under staffed or don't have the experience. Will I go here again? Probably not since there to many small improvements that have to be made for it to be worth it.

As with most Chinese restaurants in Oslo, they serve a Westernized version of Chinese cuisine. I…read moreasked the server if they made legit Chinese cuisine and was told the chef of course was Chinese. I ordered a typical Sichuan dish, gong bao ji ding (kung pao chicken). To the waiter's surprise, I knew the actual Chinese name. When I received my dish, it was floating in sauce, full of veggies ( which ate used as fillers), they used cashews instead of fried peanuts, and lacked the essence of Sichuan cuisine..."mala." I never knew why most Chinese restaurants water down their dishes and think that the original taste will not cater to westerners? I am not Chinese, but my Sichuan cooking is far superior to the dish I received here.

The aesthetic and the pairing of flavors reminded me again that Americans really don't know how to cook. The name of the dish: Meatball. Easy & simple right? The meatballs were placed on a bed of mashed potatoes that was topped with vegetable (I think swiss chard), maybe seaweed, and lingonberry. That is, the meatballs were sleeping on top of the bed of glorious mashed-potato infused with all of the fixings. I'm also pretty sure there was one more item in that mix that seemed odd, but worked really, really well. The mooseburger was really tender and the fries were good. They were out of their draft beer by the time I ordered, so settled for a nice pepsi instead.
