Service was good. Bathrooms are so disgusting that I can only imagine the expectation on the cleanliness in the kitchen. If I had used to washrooms first then I would have walked out without question. All toilets had feces speckled on the seats and the handicap bathroom which I needed was locked. I looked under and saw no one was in it. Then saw there's a huge dump in the toilet with streaks on the seat. Obviously I didn't use the toilets after seeing that. Went for a breakfast date with a friend. I was seated immediately, ordered a coffee while waiting for my friend, the server said she would be back to set G up with a coffee when she arrived. It took about 10 minutes after my friend showed up for the server to come back... The menu looked great, and there were a few different options for Eggs Benedict, different sauces and additions. We both ordered different variations on the Bene, and even with all the options for the benny, the server didn't ask us how we wanted our eggs. I had ordered the original benedict, and everything was fine, except for the type of eggs. Poached soft.... I don't know about you, but having liquidy whites in my eggs is not how I eat my eggs. Servers should never assume. I would have rathered her come back and ask how we wanted our eggs than have breakfast poorly made. The order I placed through Uber Eats was absolutely disgusting. The Croque Monsieur did not even resemble an accurate dish. It was dry toast with ham and some cheese slathered on top, along with unripe tomato slices strewn about and very dry potatoes. Then, I was hoping the French Toast would be better- it wasn't. Again, dry pieces of toast with no batter or any resemblance to actual French toast along with very little English cream( super thick) and unripe fruit. The worst of all was I could only take 2 bites as there was a heavy onion taste on the French toast (likely from same cutting boards used or knives going from an onion to fruit, etc). They also forgot to include the coffee that the meal came with. I really regret not ordering from Cora's but I've learned my lesson. Do not order from this place. read more

It's always hard to review a place that gives you what you want, just not in the best way. Eggstyle, in the Kanata Centrum plaza near the theatres, is such a place. The good: The server was pleasant and efficient. The eggs were eggs. The toast was toast. The not-so-good: the sausages were flattened pre-frozen patties (but tasted like sausage). The potatoes were deep-fried pre-frozen potato cubes. The coffee tasted weak. Not really unexpected, and adequate if you want a "regular" breakfast. One thing they could do to help is to replace the volkswagen-sized plates with smaller ones. We got a normal portion but it looked sparse on the plate. This is a nice place with a nice guy serving, the kind of place you'd like to have if you stayed at a motel off a main highway somewhere and wanted breakfast at the attached restaurant before hitting the road again. I've been wanting a breakfast place near work for those days that I am early and this place is great. The staff was very friendly and quick. The food was excellent. And there was so much! My "omelet" was actually scrambled eggs with a few things thrown in and after letting it dry out, they folded it in half. My friend said her eggs Benedict was good so that's a plus for them. Food was very poor. Wanted to warn the group coming in. Between the two of us We got eggs, home fries, bacon, sausage and ham. Our meals came with toast, two wedges of watermelon, oranges and cinnamon apples (random). Bacon and ham were paper thin with a weird texture, and the sausages were rough. They were patties and just barely cooked. (My boyfriend said they tasted like what he thought wet cat food would taste like). Not good. The positives were: green onion along with the home fries. Atmosphere is good. Nice clean environment, including bathrooms. Food was not bad. I only had the hasbrowns and bacon. The hasbrowns were good, had a nice flavour to them. They come garnished with spring onions so, if you don't like onions make sure to ask for without. The bacon is a good bacon although very greasy and make sure to ask for well done otherwise its very chewy/fatty. There are 2 tv's on the wall at the front. One had news on and the other sports. Took a trip to the newly opened Eggstyles in the Kanata Centrum Sunday morning. I have to say I was pleased with the experience. It is nice to have another option in the Kanata area and this is a good option. The menu has something for everyone, the service was good and the ambiance was cheerful and friendly if not a little bright for some maybe. I had what is called the Giant breakfast which is home fries, two eggs, sausage patty, bacon, ham, beans, toast, some fruit for garnish and I opted out of the choice of french toast, waffle or flapjack. My wife had an egg white omelet made to her liking ham and mushroom. Both meals were very good. In speaking to our server we found out that no advertising has been done while they are getting staff trained and ensuring that your experience will be what you should expect. I like the approach of being well prepared before you try to bite off more than you can chew as many new businesses seem to do. Overall I would definitely recommend Eggstyles and hopefully you will have as pleasant an experience as we did. read more

The wait staff is exceptionally nice. I was traveling in Ottawa and it was nice to chat with our waitress. My omelet wasn't very good though. It had a distinctive dirty egg flavor. I think they should either add salt and pepper/cream to their egg mixture or been more careful to clean the cooking surface more regularly. I only ate a few bites and left hungry. I have known the manager that works there since the restaurant opened and he has always been really great to me. I have always had wonderful service when I have gone there and if I ever had a problem with something he would always make sure that it was fixed or he would take it off my bill and that is why I am giving his restaurant a five star because he always made sure that I was happy with my food and every time I have been there I have never seen a disappointed customer. We arrived around 9:20 on a Sunday morning. Restaurant was only 40% full. Our server was a bit slow in getting back to take our order. I ordered the meat lovers benedict and my son had banana chocolate waffle. It took 24 minutes to get his waffle, not acceptable. He did love the flavour of it though. The coffee is bad, was weak dishwater. I asked for a stronger coffee as I do love a robust flavour. Just as bad as the first. McDonalds coffee is better. The eggs benedict, wow, I wish I had not ordered it. Eggs were overcooked and the sauce was thin and flavourless. Had to salt and pepper the heck out of it. Take the tons of fruit off the plates, waste of money. Normally this place isn't bad (I like their eggs benedict but don't like their sausages). However, when I visited on Sunday around noon, everything seemed to go wrong. I understand it was very busy because it was father's day but they got my order wrong, I found an eggshell in my eggs (who likes that crunch?) and then at the very end when I was eating the little pieces of fruit, I found a small grey hair in my mouth (I have brown hair)! It was disgusting!!! Literally, the root of someone else's hair went in my mouth. I complained to the waitress about this and she said she would tell the manager but nothing happened. I would have expected my meal to be "comped" but not even a discount!!! They even got my bill wrong and tried to charge me more but fixed it after I pointed that out. Waited for our food and had to ask what the delay was at 11:40 Breakfast finally was brought to us at 11:45. I've eaten here three times, twice when they first opened and once just this week. The first two times everything was great. During those two visits, I ordered the BLT and the Giant Club with Chicken, delicious. This last time I went, I ordered the club with chicken again and it was delicious, but they brought me the egg variation first, and had to wait ten minutes for another. Fair warning, they charge you extra for cream cheese. A friend ordered a bagel and cream cheese, among other things, and was charged $2.65.
