Personally, I love it here. My girlfriend discovered this place during COVID season, and we treat ourselves to some amazing crepes every now and then. It is a bit on the pricey side, however well worth it. We did dine-in once a few weeks ago and the service was amazing. Food took a bit, but it's simply a very laid-back place, so you may need to encourage them to hurry up with the check etc. Overall amazing, and the smoothies are great too. read more

I'm sure I will go back... but I won't be in any kind of hurry to do so. The restaurant is lovely, and pleasant, and very clean. Every employee was nice and smiling. We were seated immediately to a table. These are all good things. The restaurant was doing good business... tables maybe 75-80% full. But as nice as our server was... she wasn't having her best day. She choose not to write down our drink order (5 people... 2 coffees, a diet cola, an orange juice, and a chocolate milk), and forgot one of the orders. She dropped off 4 drinks, and had to ask again what the 5th was. We noticed other tables received a small pitcher with their coffee for refills. We were not given one of these until the two coffees on the table were empty for 5 minutes. When food came out - there were multiple mistakes. All toast was forgotten. A side of fruit was forgotten. A side of pancakes was delivered that we did not order. And one omelette... wasn't delivered. (the server advised that the kitchen made the wrong omelette, and offered a choice of eating the wrong omelette, or waiting for the right one to be made) These are all little, and possibly honest, mistakes. But it kind of accumulates... y'know? It's not enough to ruin the meal, but it is enough to not hurry back. While the offer to make the correct omelette was appreciated, I didn't want to have everyone else half done with their food before I even received mine... so I took the 'wrong' omelette. I little show of appreciation would have been nice - heck, just comp my coffee! But no... there were no add-ons or discounts offered. Just 'you can wait while everyone else eats if you want'. Stopped in for takeout and waited about 10 minutes for somebody to cash me out but it was obvious that they were short staffed (and not pleased about it) and the server who finally did cash me out was very apologetic. My souvlaki salAd was great and my husband's gyro wrap with potatoes was "awesome but not as good as elmwood or main Street Vasilis". So...I suppose they've redeemed themselves. read more

Ordered two open face chicken souvlakis for pick-up today and am disappointed to report the food was dismal. The lettuce was wilted and slimy and after picking out the soiled bits, only a third was edible. The tomatoes were soggy and watery and the "feta" was tasteless slivers of plastic. This being said the chicken and pita were the only edible bits, both served warm, well-seasoned and tasty respectively. However, horrified by the lack of quality standards, especially at a price of over $30. read more

The only place I could find on a Saturday for brunch with no wait, and what a pleasant surprise! Finding a brunch spot in Buffalo with no wait is like winning the lottery. O ordered the corned beef and hash - it was enough to feed two. The only thing I wish is it was cooked a bit more (I prefer crunch corned beef/hash), but I know others prefer otherwise. My wife and I took my mom to this place based on the pictures of the restaurant online. When we walked into the front door, they made us walk all the way to the back door of the restaurant (my mom is in her 80s) to see the host, only to walk us all the way back to the front of the restaurant ...... anyways... the restaurant had a very nice atmosphere so we continued to try and have a good time. The waitress came to our table to ask us about our drinks and took our order. We waited about 15 mins of watching her pass us by over and over so I went and talked to the manager about it and he brought our coffee and waters to us. The food came out about 20 mins later and everything was cold and looked like it was setting on the counter in the back room collecting bacteria. I told the waitress and she gave me an attitude about my problems with the food. She said she would have them make me a new one. About 7mins latter she brings back a plate of food that looked like it was over cooked in the microwave with my original bit out of it. I returned it back to them and canceled my order, by this point my appetite had diminished.This was not the experience I was looking for and I will never go back. The owner offered no real help when I complained to him. Their customer service is garbage and I told them so. I would not recommend this place. read more

This was almost a 1-star if it weren't for our server , Angela, who was attentive and did a great job...unfortunately we waited an hour for our food (two simple wraps) and when they arrived it was mostly lettuce. I noticed someone, maybe the owner, going to multiple tables and sitting for extended periods with other guests. I may be wrong but if that was the owner then he should have been helping out because we weren't the only ones waiting for our food. This was our first time in and the decor and service was friendly and warm but food was sub-par and wait was really too long. I think they have loyal clientele and good business but if hate to see any place go downhill over time to finally look up to wonder why business has declined. Been there a couple times now. The first time it was great; great food (despite my husband ordering rye toast and not gettting rye) and great service. The second time the food was ok - room temp and place was much busier, good service, and still no rye toast. Went again today, very busy (good for them) but the food quality has taken the hit for this. My daughter and husband's food was room temp and mine was cold. Having been a server for many, many years I try not to complain and look at the good not the bad but cold eggs are not great and I couldn't make myself eat them. The waitress gladly took the plate back to microwave. I gave the 3 stars because the severs are great and the location is nice but I hate to see a locally owned restaurant not be able to keep up with the quality of their food because of the quantity of their customers. read more

I love this place. Maybe it was the ambiance of a mural of an outdoor cafe and the warmth of the day or maybe it was the eccentric yet classy decor. Whatever it was, we were drawn in. I had my usual chicken souvlaki breakfast, which was quite large and not your typical diner-esque "could be chicken, could be pigeon" plate full. I also had an accompaniment of pancakes, which were generous and full of flavor. They did crumble a bit and the were on the heavy side, but that may be your thing. My spouse had the gyro wrap and loved every bite. The fries were crisp and did not taste like someone forgot to change the oil after the Friday night fish fry. Service was A+ and prices are about average. This place is a new favorite and it should be one of yours. Get here early because the parking could be a slight challenge! read more

Save your money - this place is poorly managed! Waited over an hour for breakfast food that finally arrived lukewarm to cold. The "Greek Breakfast" came with a horribly skimpy portion of chicken...maybe 2 ounces at best - other Greek restaurants serve this breakfast with 8-10 pieces of chicken. Our second trip to Eggsperience topped our first, which was awesome as well. We arrived about 11:30 am on a Friday and were seated immediately. We hit the lull before the full blown lunch hour. The menu is full of lucious breakfast, lunch and dinner options. I'm always amazed by the fresh fruit garnishes on many of the plates. Today, the teenager's plain hamburger arrived perfectly cooked, savory on an incredibly fresh roll. The accompanying batter dipped french fries were steaming hot and seasoned nicely. My ham, asparagus and swiss crepe blew me away with the crisp stalls and the nutty flavored cheese, served with home fries. The high school junior Dove into her Apple caramel and whip cream crepe. Total yum. Our little kid had the Mickey Mouse pancakes with bacon, a great value for the price. The service was very friendly and professional. And handsome, the little girls pointed out. This place is far from home for us, but we will make a point to work it into one of our city excursions. read more

I live in the neighborhood and decided to give this restaurant a try for lunch. When we walked in we were seated right away. We then waited for 10 minutes without service. We ordered and food came out fast. Our server never came to check on us, never refilled our water. She paid attention to what it seemed like the owners family's table more than any other table. It wasn't busy, maybe 5 tables in the whole place. The sandwich was blah, no flavor. I'll never come back, based on first experiences. The decor doesn't make sense in this place either. Went here for breakfast the other day. Forgot to take any pictures but it's a really nice setting. The waiter was great but brought me the completely wrong breakfast. I ordered the Grecian omelet with spinach feta and tomato with added bacon. He brought me a ham broccoli and cheddar omelet. He fixed it right away but then the omelet I order wasn't that good. It's a three egg omelet but I feel like I got a pound of spinach in it. Taste was good though just a bit different than what I expected. The atmosphere in this place is amazing though and super chill. My friend got Nutella crepes and they looked absolutely amazing. read more

This morning was the second time we have been to Vasili's on Main Street, although we haves been to the Kenmore location many times, as well. We were greeted and seated right away by very friendly staff. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient too. I ordered the ham, asparagus and Swiss crepes. While the crepes were loaded with ham, it was sliced deli ham, like in cold cuts! Not what I expected. I think chopped roasted ham would have been better or at least chop the slices. This is not my major issue with my choice, however. Two very large crepes were served but they needed something, as they were a bit dry. Mornay sauce would have been awesome but I asked for some hollandaise and said why It was needed. Please don't up charge for something requested because I am not satisfied with my meal. I understand the charge for substitutions but in this case a $2.50 charge should not be required. My husband had an egg white omelet with mushrooms that was very good. Again, I agree with the up charge on the egg whites. This all being said, we will return to Vasilis but I won't be ordering the crepes. read more

Came in over the weekend for breakfast and the place was jam packed. We asked for a table for four and were told it would be 10-15 minutes. We were seated in that time frame and our table still had the check on it from the last table that had been seated there. The waitress dropped off menus and said she would be right back to help us. Fifteen minutes later she appeared, apologized for the wait and we finally got to order. My husband ordered the Huevos Rancheros. Let me tell you. I love Huevos Rancheros. It's a brunch staple for me. What he was brought was scrambled eggs with salsa and non-melted shredded cheddar on top. It was incredibly disappointing. The toast that comes with the breakfasts is not buttered in the kitchen, the butter is brought out with dry bread, meaning it never actually gets to melt. Also incredibly disappointing. I got the strawberry fields crepes that promised to be full of Nutella, and I found that there was hardly any Nutella present, but they were caked in Cinnamon. Our two friends ordered the Grecian Delight and the Florentine Benedict, both of which tasted fine according to them despite being slightly cold. The saving grace was the carnage of coffee brought and left in the table so that we could refill our cups. Maybe we just ordered the wrong things? It's hard to say. I want to like this place, the menu looks so appealing and they have such a nice variety of crepes, waffles, pancakes, etc. we will have to give it another try. read more

If they don't want to take an order they'll simply just not answer the phone or take it off the hook completely and when they do finally answer they have attitudes. Had dinner at Eggsperience twice. Each time was a great experience. My wife and I ordered the fish dinner. The fish was very big and very fresh. Both dinners came with a fantastic salad, delicious seasoned fries and macaroni salad. We enjoyed the rice pudding for dessert. We both love the colorful and warm atmosphere in the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and professional. We thought the price was very reasonable. We also stopped for lunch recently and ordered their burgers. They were huge and delicious. We stopped in on a rainy Sunday after the Kenmore Farmer's market. Apparently we arrived at the same time as a bunch of other tables, because that is what the waitress told us more than once as she walked by our table before she stopped to take our drink order. I get it, it's busy, and they obviously didn't have enough staff working. Not only were the waitresses running their buns off, but we were told we had to wait to order food too so as not to overwhelm the kitchen. I guess at least they were honest? We didn't know we were committing to a nearly 2 hour meal when we sat down. (None of us were drinking alcohol either). We didn't have high expectations for the food since it is really just a diner, but the burger was so salty that I was dehydrated the rest of the day. The coleslaw was good, as were the coated fries. I probably won't be back as there are many diners in Buffalo that are properly staffed for Sunday brunch time and don't leave me feeling like I ate a salt lick. Vasilis is definitely a family restaurant and the perfect place for a Sunday brunch. When looking at the menu I thought it was fairly pricey but the portions are big and it's so filling if you finish your meal you probably won't be hungry for the rest of the day. The staff is so friendly and attentive however it's on the slower side. It was Palm Sunday but our meal took about 25 minutes to arrive. The decor was subpar and the lighting was terrible it was dark and very yellow it was like a night bar lighting and there was little to no natural light. There was only two windows which isn't something they can control but if you want a pretty instagram like place I would not recommend it. Went here for breakfast the other day because we wanted to try somewhere new. My boyfriend and I both got the strawberry banana crepes he got home fries and I got sausage. The food was decent but nothing to die for, we both really wanted crepes and typically go to break n eggs when that's the case. However neither one of us wanted to wait so we thought why not try it. We have visited Eggsperience Vasilis a few more times since my initial 5 star rating in January 2016. I hate to say this but although their service is still superior, the food is not consistently so. Both lunch and dinner have left us feeling like there are better choices out there. Their Souvlaki dinners, the Tyrokafteri, even the Baklava...inconsistent and average. They don't even have the Greek music anymore, at least the last three visits. Their beer selection is abysmal and ditto for their wines. We have put a moratorium on future visits for the time being. read more
