Possibly my favorite pancakes in Buffalo can be found at Eggsperience Vasilis!! Eggsperience is one of my favorite neighborhood spots. They always seem to be busy and the staff is super nice. I had a reservation here for party of 8 and overall we were well attended to. Their Banana Nut pancakes (bananas, almonds, drizzle of caramel sauce, whipped cream) are truly some of my FAVORITE in Buffalo!I only got one today because I wanted a savory breakfast (but still couldn't resist a mid-day dessert) I do have a couple critiques about this place: *I've never tried one of their smoothies, but that blender is LOUD and the smoothies are mad at a bar in the back of the dining room. We were seated near it and could barely talk when the blender was screeching *4.29 is expensive for a small glass of orange juicenot sure if the cost included refills but I was not offered one and didn't want to be cheap and ask if refills were free *my eggs Benedict were good (I finished em all lol) but wayyy to much holland size *5/8 of us got eggs Benedict- and the English muffins were not toasted All this to say I still recommend this place! I was welcomed and told I could seat myself. I was given a menu quickly and my drink order was taken. The prices are great for the quantity you get. My favorite part? The fresh, toasty pita! Sadly, they had no stuffed grape leaves: How does this happen in a Greek restaurant? It's a beautiful, light-filled space in an old building. Went for brunch on Sunday at 12, wait time was 15 minutes, only waited about 10 even though the place was full. Got a hazelnut Frappe Iced Coffee, it was good no need to add any cream or sugar. Got a side of chocolate chip pancakes, pretty good had a great ratio of chocolate chip and buttermilk. The atmosphere was great, very cute place with twinke lights and had low volume music playing. read more

My second time eating here the people are nice,I ordered a hamburger which was not cooked fresh and the home fries were hard none of the food was warm, the place is nice and cozy, I decided to give it another try, this time I wanted waffles which was good, but the silverware was dirty not even been wash this definitely is a deal breaker for me, the girl just took it to the counter wipe it off and gave the same silverware back to me not even wash it instead of giving me clean set, because of this I will not be back food was good but not hot,or warm. read more

Truly disappointed! I expected so much from this restaurant when we made our reservations weeks ago. We arrived at our scheduled 12:30 reservation after our daughter's graduation. We were seated in a reserved area with 3 other parties who also happened to be classmates who graduated with my daughter. Our server took our order for drinks not soon after we were seated but after that, communication was pretty much nonexistent. We literally waited an hour and a half to get our first plate delivered to our table but this was *after* I complained to the hostess. Needless to say the food was very mid and wasn't hot. Our server did not communicate with us. We waited for an hour and a half, while having two people in our party who were diabetic. After informing another server who asked us how everything was (not our server), we told her that all of the food was cold and no ready to eat.We were able to get a discount. It didn't really do much because gratuity was included in the bill. Not one time were we told updates without asking first. On top of all of this the servers had attitude when asked very reasonable questions in regards to our food. Definitely do not recommend. read more

AMAZING! The food was so delicious came out in 15 minutes which is super quick in my opinion. Our server was very sweet and attentive. It is also decorated for Christmas! Which I absolutely love the tree, lights, light music and fresh flowers at each table. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a quick and yummy brunch spot. Also very reasonably priced. This places has been on our radar for awhile and we finally stopped in last week. It looks like a cute little family restaurant that been there forever. Service was slow. We waited a long time to get our menus and even longer before the waitress got around to taking our order, which was okay with us because we weren't in an hurry, but we made a note not to come here if we were. The seems to do a good bit of business via take out, so maybe their staff is worn thin by that? Anyway, once we did get the food we were pretty happy with it. My wife ordered the greek skillet and loved it. The gyro meet was flavorful and everything else was fresh and prepared well. I had the banana nutella crepe and it was good, too. There was a LOT of yogurt in it which was nice and fresh and tart, though sometimes it did overwhelm the other flavors, but I just scraped some of it out. Bananas were fresh and the crepes themselves were fantastic. We would come here again on mornings when we have the time to really linger. I want to try the french toast next time because it looked amazing. read more

This is such a cute restaurant. The space is beautifully decorated. The staff were so kind and polite. Part of my colleagues order was late because the fryer went down and they had to fix it but the waitress kept us informed and accommodated us. I ordered the Open Souvlaki Salad with chicken and it was Top 2 best souvlaki in Buffalo. (If you are a fan of the way Towne Restaurant made it, you'll love it, also so sad it :-( closed). This was such a terrible experience overall. We sat for 20 minutes before the waitress even approached us -with only four tables busy out of the 20 that are on the floor. She approached us asked what we wanted to drink...so we got the drinks in 20 more minutes! And then 20 more minutes for the food. The waitress was inattentive, distracted-just terrible. And the food, after waiting all that time for it -was terrible -it was just awful. I was excited to try this but was insulted by slow service, bland taste, and high cost. My partner and I had ordered egg dishes only to be informed 20min later that they were out of eggs (despite egg being in their name) We ordered pancakes instead but they were bland and dry. My sister came out for the weekend to escape, sleep, binge on sushi and find crepes. Now, she has had a host of serious health issues so for her to want to eat, and being able to keep it down is a big win!!! We found this place. Very nice inside. They were very busy, possibly short staffed like everyone is. But what wonderful service! Our server was polite, attentive, always had a smile on her face and very sweet. Sis has the crepe avalanche. Went with a friend at opening time on a Tuesday. This was our first time there but will NOT be our last! Service was absolutely stellar, and our server Mari was amazing; our food could not have been phenomenal; the overall ambience of the restaurant is classy and comfortable. When the bill came, we were so surprised -- only $34 (pre tip) for two breakfast entrees, coffee and a hot chocolate. Such a great experience, I'm only shocked it took me so long to find this place! My actual new favorite brunch/breakfast spot in buffalo! Its a nice quiet, cute little spot. And its never crowded! I've gone twice, both on sundays around 12pm. I LOVE breakfast food, and Eggsperience did not dissapoint. My pancakes were lovely, and their menu has such a huge variety. There's definitely something for everyone. The waffles are great too, and so are the mimosas. Service is awesome, and quick. You can definitely get full here for a great price! Definitely give this place a try. read more

We actually stumbled on this charming spot through the Upside app. We went for a late breakfast on a weekday morning. The decor is a delightful mixture of old and new. It was meticulously clean. The food was delicious and the menu presented so many options that it was difficult to decide what I wanted! I chose the egg sandwich with bacon. It was done exactly the way I wanted except the bacon wasn't crispy as I originally ordered. When I pointed this out, it was quickly remedied. The coffee was excellent and our cups were vigilantly filled whenever they looked like they needed refreshing. The prices were commensurate with other restaurants we have visited in the area. The very pleasant and friendly owner was ever-present in the dining room. We inquired about the interesting name of the restaurant and she shared its history. I've never been the biggest breakfast person, but thanks to a visiting friend and a girlfriend that raves about this place, I found myself at Eggsperience Vasilis on Friday morning. This place is conveniently located a couple of minutes from me and features a stacked breakfast menu along with solid options for lunch and dinner (I'm pretty sure this place serves dinner, punch me in the face if I'm wrong). We came here pretty early and thanks to the billboard outside advertising the steak, eggs, hash browns, and toast it was melted into my Brain and I was forced to order it. The service here was both super friendly and super quick and before I knew it there was some mouth watering breakfast waiting for me to absolutely devour. I feel like breaking this down, so I'm going too. Toast- It's literally cooked bread, so I don't really know how you could mess this up (other then burning it of course). It was done right and I liked it....you know, because bread. Scrambled Eggs- I'm a sucker for my eggs scrambled and they made them just the way I like it. Hash Browns- I'm not sure what this place used for seasonings but it was delicious and I absolutely loved them. Steak- There's a big difference between breakfast steak and dinner steak and this was a small piece of top notch breakfast steak. It was tender, juicy, and had a good flavour to it as well. Overall, this is definitely my new favourite breakfast spot in the area. The meal was amazing, the service was wonderful, and the place itself is just plain nice to look at. Want some good breakfast? I got the Florentine eggs Benedict with potatoes and a side of a single pancake. I also got a mimosa because a Sunday brunch isn't complete without one! The food came out fairly quick. First off, the portions were huge! My Benedict was good but I was disappointed that my eyes were overcooked and not poached. My pancake was surprisingly good despite it looking thick and dense. I really wanted to like this place. I could've swore there's another location on Delaware, but somehow I could not find it this morning. So we came here with GPS. When we arrived to the restaurant, it was almost packed so we waited a couple of minutes. We were seated less than 5 minutes and ordered our drinks along with our main no more than 10 minutes of being seated. My friend and I were very excited since it was our first time here. Seeing that the restaurant were busy, we both told ourselves their food will be good. Shortly after we got our drinks, half of the diners were done. Our food took more than 45 minutes. It took sometimes to get my coffee refill. My friend and I lost our appetite while waiting. We only ordered omelette and waffle so I felt like 15-20 is a decent time but we felt like we waited forever. We were going to canceled our order at some point because my friend doesn't want to eat anymore. Just as we talked about it, our food came out. The food did not meet our expectations and wasn't worth the wait. There was not much effort to it and the omelette had too much cheese with little protein. What's most disappointed was the temperature of the food. The omelette were slightly warm and the home fries felt like room temperature. We finished less than 10 minutes. I took the picture after cutting the omelette up. The servers were really nice, but what happened with our check disappointed both my friend and I. The server asked if we wanted to split the bill evenly and we both said "yes please" but when we got our bills, mine ended up at 21 something and Hera being 16. It's not the amount that frustrates us because we don't mind paying for each other's. However, it came down to what's the point of asking if you're going to do it your way? Typically when I see a review that stares "the portions are HUGE!!!" I want to run the other way. Because if that, I almost hesitate to mention how large of a serving was this morning at Vasili's. So yes, my breakfast skillet was HUGE, but more importantly it was delicious! This is my third time eating here and all three visits have been great. This last visit I went by myself to get out of the house on a cold winter morning. There are two entrances, one on Delaware Avenue where there is street parking and a rear entrance where the parking lot is. The lot can get busy as they share with all the businesses on the block, but I've never had a problem parking in the back. There is also additional street parking on side streets if need be. I was seated immediately and the first thing I noticed at this visit was the nice little tray with all the things I might need (cream, sugar, jelly, salt, pepper and hot sauce. Convenient and it looked much nicer than just having everything loose in the table. Service was quick and friendly, she won my heart when she left the carafe of coffee on my table for me! I had the Rio Grande Skillet. Homefries mixed with peppers, onions, ham, bacon AND sausage topped with cheese, two eggs, sour cream and salsa and a side of toast. Very tasty and filling, I was able to eat about half. I tend to focus on little things that make a restaurant or business stand out. Besides the tray of condiments, I really liked how they serve toast. Typically it will be on a side plate, but they put theirs in a basket with the butter on the side to keep it nice and warm. Love that idea! Past visits we have tried crepes, wraps and other breakfast items and always leave happy. Love having this place a half mile down the road! read more

I found this cute little spot after another restaurant was booked solid. Let me start by saying, I did not settle for this place. It was even better than I expected!! I visited on a Sunday afternoon for Brunch and the restaurant was quiet, so we had our choice of table. We opted for a seat near the window. I hadn't heard of this restaurant before, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but you can't really go wrong with breakfast/brunch food. I ordered the traditional Eggs Benedict. The waitress asked if I wanted peppers and onions with my potato hash - DEFINITELY do this!! It was so delicious. The eggs benny was eggcelent :) After we ordered, several more patrons entered the building. It took a bit longer than expected to receive our food, presumably because of the rush. The waitress was very attentive, and our waters were never empty. I ate, caught up with my friend, and after we were comfortably full, we left. I'm always looking for new breakfast places. Maybe my expectations were too high when I found this 5 star rated restaurant. By no means was the experience bad, it was just ok. I started off with coffee. The coffee had a weird taste to it and was missing something, or perhaps it was watered down? I ordered the Strawberry Fields Crepe after our servers recommendation. The crepe looked delicious and tasted good. The filling was a little bland. I was expecting a richer and sweeter filling The crepe itself was nice and fluffy, but once again missing something, perhaps vanilla? My husband ordered the butchers omelette. He ate it all and really eats anything, so all is well in his food world. The menu is extensive, the service was fantastic too. I will give them another try. Not the Eggsperience we were hoping for. Came with friends on a Sunday morning for brunch. We were able to get seated quickly for a table of 6--but that is where the waiting game began. We waited about 15 minutes before our table was acknowledged by any staff member and were able to place our orders. And then waited over an hour to get our food. When we got our food, everything was cold or lukewarm. Wait staff went out of there way to not acknowledge or serve us, it honestly took some effort to receive this low level of service. Was craving a gyro and wanted to support a local establishment. Visited within weeks of its grand opening. So many options, something for everyone! My friend and I got two entrees to share (omelette, chicken gyro wrap, and pancakes) and it was a lot of food. Good thing because that meant I had leftovers for the next day. Also really spacious and well decorated. I liked the open, airy vibe of the restaurant. Great location on Main Street. Bus #8 and metro (Utica station) drops you off within a block of the location. Wanted some good breakfast so I google breakfast near me and came across this place. Not really any parking areas around this restaurant it is right at the corner of Main & Ferry. There is off street parking though. It was a Friday morning we were seated right away. Was pretty busy. Cute little Greece themed restaurant. Huge menu with all types of options for breakfast. The food was really good. Overall good experience the only negative thing I have to say is both my sister and cousin found a piece of hair in there food.
