Stopped in for breakfast today our Anna was fabulous... It was my first time there. Coffee great ...ordered the 222 with a side of rye toast.. 222 was great eggs overeasy, bacon, and pancakes so great. Toast arrived cold and dry... DRY.. When i tried to spread butter on toast would melt cause it was cold. I asked if she could take it back the butter... She looked shocked... Another waitress informed us, very arrogantly i might add, "Most people want dry toast. No one EVER asks for it buttered. Besides which our cook does not have time to put butter on toast ." A more disappointing experience for me, as Break'n Eggs Creperie was closed and I wanted a similar alternative for Brunch. I was excited to since there was a lot of positive reviews and there was no wait. We came in around 2:30 or so and there no other tables and the service was quite slow. The menu had a large variety of pictures and they are all very convincing. I ordered Steak & Eggs (English muffin with sunny side up eggs with 8oz New York strip steak). I usually like my steak medium well but it came out like completely well done (or possibly over cooked). Everything seen over cooked and burnt. Even the fruits wasn't fresh. Even though I try my best to finish majority of my meal afterwards I was still not satisfied and had ordered Tacos nearby. I've been here a couple of times with my parents and it's a great location with a unique vibe. I love the cheesy paintings and fake plants with twinkle lights. It's also great because the prices are good and the clientele is really diverse. I don't feel like my family and I stick out as some of the only People of Color in a dining establishment (which is classic in Buffalo). The thing is, though, that every single time I go there, my order is somehow wrong. The staff are very very nice about it, but it just happens every time. Once I ordered a Norwegian salad and they served it on iceberg lettuce when the description clearly said "spring mixed greens." Also, who would make a fancy Norwegian salad (it's mainly lox and red onion) with iceberg lettuce?!?!?! I thought I was being snobby about this, and maybe I am, but it's a total tragedy. Came here for brunch with a friend and I enjoyed the food. I will say they move slow with bringing your food HOWEVER the food is delicious. To drink I had a peach Bellini and that was very refreshing! It is also very bright in there, a lot of natural light which is beautiful . I would say this is the perfect place to grab food with a friend. To eat we had : -Vegetarian omelette: which was very yummy. It had asparagus in it which was eye opening for me. It complimented the omelette well. It comes with home fries and your choice of toast of pancakes. Pancake is an up charge of $3. The pancakes are so fluffy and delicious. They have the perfect amount of vanilla in them. -Apple Cinnamon French toast: I do not eat French toast however my friend said it was very tasty and by far the best French toast he's had at brunch. It was cooked evenly and not burnt. They also mentioned the apples weren't overcooked either. Returned to Vasilis for lunch on a weekday, and was happy with the decision to come back. The staff was just as pleasant but not rushed this time, and the wait for our food was much shorter. My favorite thing about Vasilis, though? Most diners that serve breakfast usually offer home fries and toast as sides. But here, instead of toast, you can opt for a side of pancakes at no additional cost. I'm sometimes torn whether to go the sweet or savory route if I want to eat breakfast foods, and this way, I can have both. Both my dining companions were similarly delighted with having a side of pancakes as a choice. We all went for it, and had no regrets. I came in there this past Sunday very first time in this restaurant came there to eat brunch with my family our server Andrew from the time he got there. was rude, constantly reaching over us for silverware and things not saying excuse me. I didn't say anything OK so even when it came to the water I'm like can We get another get some more water out that water right there which was sitting there for over an hour. We stopped at Eggsperience while waiting for our car to be finished at the next door garage. We noticed the sign "steak and egg special" and decided to share this breakfast. The waitress brought over water and my coffee right away. Great for a coffee lover like me: they give you a whole insulated can on your table. Unlimited refills! The breakfast arrived soon after. A nice piece of steak, well seasoned, 2 eggs (in our case sunny side up) and home fries. The fries had a nice seasoning too. Unfortunately no onions in them. On a separate plate 2 nice pancakes. All in all a nice breakfast for $6.99 (normally $9.99). The waitress was very friendly, checked on us after a couple of bites if everything was okay and refilled the water. We ate here while we had new tires installed at Nirelli's. Vasilis is a very short walk from Nirelli's. Vasilis offers a steak and eggs special from 8-11, Monday to Friday. It is only $6.99 for a small, but nicely seasoned piece of steak, two eggs, home fries and two pancakes. It was delicious and more than enough to share. This was a hard review for me to write. I decided on 1 star because the restaurant seems to have a problem with lying about their menu items and overcharging. The first lie being their orange juice. They claim it's fresh squeezed and charge $4 for it, however it clearly is not, it doesn't taste like it or have the texture of fresh squeeze. Then you look and they even have the carton of cheap orange juice displayed for everyone to see. I find this is very bad on the end of the restaurant as it's misleading and in a sense, a scam. $4 is a lot to pay for cheap orange juice, but you'd be willing to pay it if it really is fresh squeezed. The second issue was their "Huevos Rancheros". Them calling this menu item this is quite frankly cultural appropriation and very offensive. You can't throw Pace-like salsa onto something and call it a traditional Mexican dish, but that's what they did. They took an omelette, cut it up (zoom in on the photo, it's not even scrambled eggs), added cheddar cheese and cheap salsa on top of it. Google what Huevos Rancheros is if you don't already know, it is nothing like what they are serving. I ordered a traditional breakfast. Eggs, corned beef hash, home fries and wheat toast. The home fries were a little less flavorful than average, but they're potatoes so they're still good because they're potatoes, the medium eggs were cooked well and the corned beef hash was nice and crispy, just how I like it. Basic, average breakfast. I also ordered the strawberry and nutella waffle with nutella. This waffle is on the more expensive side (I believe $12) but I liked it for the most part, unfortunately some of the cut up bananas were under ripe and hard/ not sweet enough. But other than that the waffle was pretty solid. But for the price, I definitely would prefer going to a different place for my waffle fix. We received really good service from our waitress. "The early bird gets the worms." ... or in our case we got a table and dined quietly with soothing Greek music playing in the background (and the occasional yelps and squeals from my toddler). Breakfast was great today. Hubby ordered the 2-2-2 (2 eggs, 2 pancakes and 2 -choice of meat-) and he said he was full before cleaning his plate (not typical!). He enjoyed his food, and commented the butter was very whipped which he liked a lot on his pancake (and the toast he stole from my plate!). I got the corned beef hash with eggs, home fries and rye toast (you can get pancakes instead of toast), and extra bacon to share. Everything was good on my plate - the potatoes has the fresh taste of just peeled with a good amount of butter. I'd prefer it to be more crispy but it was not bad. The corned beef was a tad too salty but not too bad either - if I order this again I'd probably ask them to hold back on the salt. Both plates came with a side order of applesauce and fruit kabobs. We shared the food with our kiddo who enjoyed a full pancake and most of the bacon. The restaurant has very interesting decor throughout the walls (doors?!) and a large seating area in the back as well as a coat closet (very handy for winter coats or strollers). There's free parking in the back (or meter street parking if you've quarters) with an entrance into the restaurant. Service was EXCELLENT. Our waitress gave my plate an extra applesauce in case our little one wanted his own, and she brought extra napkins over before I even asked (everyone knows you need extra napkins eating with a toddler right?)! I love this place sooo much. I never had a bad experience here ever. The service is great and the food is great. I have only come here for breakfast though. I have had the Big Vasilis, Greek breakfast (once with steak, once with gyro), 2-2-2, and the Butcher's Choice omelette. The Butcher's choice omelette is essential the Big Vasilis in omette form. All these foods were great, I recommend the Big Vasilis for the experience of getting a giant plate delivered too you (:D !!!) Although all the eggs and meats are wonderful, my favorite part really is the pancakes. Yes, that's right the pancakes. They taste like they are made with cake mix because it's so good, yummy, fluffy, delicious, and sweet. LOVE them so much, I don't even need syrup for them. They are perfect just the way they are. Can I just say..... this is going to be my new breakfast go-to! Walked in on a beautiful Sunday morning around 11:30 with a party of 3. The place was PACKED and the little waiting area was also completely full. I put my name in and then we were seated in less than 10 minutes! Best parts of my experience : - Coffee came in a large pot right to the table and we each had 2 glasses without needing another pot. - All wait staff and table bussers were pleasant and quick. Our waitress Penelope was attentive and friendly - Decor is SO cute in this place. There is so much to look at and talk about in the actual restaurant. - Bathroom was spotless with 2 stalls Lastly, the food. One word. AMAZING. This is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood (near the medical campus). With all of the construction in the area, which will bring new condos and businesses to the area, more restaurants such as Eggsperience are moving into the area! There are not too many brunch spots in Buffalo, so the more the merrier! My friend and I had an hour lunch break and wanted to grab brunch before starting our busy afternoons. When you first walk in, you can tell it was recently renovated and the entire room was clean. The restaurant is essentially one large room, meaning there is plenty of seating available. I liked the Greek theme with the pictures on the walls. The waitress promptly welcomed us and offered us drinks while we ordered. I enjoyed the coffee. The menu has a large selection of breakfast AND lunch options! I was craving an omelette but wanted to try something different, so I ordered the Spartan Omelette, which was a delicious combination of gyro meat and feta :D and I was VERY pleased. They did bring toast, however it could have been toasted just a bit more. I will definitely be back, either for a mid day meal or weekend brunch with friends! *ONE small thing. An issue I have with many restaurants is that you often do not know where to pay (is it through the waiter, or do we go upfront?). Came here on a Saturday morning for breakfast. I really wanted a mimosa granted it was the weekend, and I was looking for a regular brunch spot that was fairly close by work and home. I came in and it was very cute inside. Greeted by the hostess/waitress who was very pleasant, she seated me by one of their brick walls, with these big beautiful paintings. After realizing they weren't able to serve alcohol, I opted for an orange juice instead of the mimosa. The orange juice was room temperature with ice cubes that eventually melted and watered the juice down. I ordered home fries, eggs over easy and rye toast. The home fires were pretty good. They had just enough crisp on them to give it a nice crunch. The eggs and toast however, I could've done without. Now I'm no egg-spert, but judging from the consistency I'd say they were definitely overcooked. There was no yolk coming out the egg... The toast would've been better with butter. I love the atmosphere! We're not from New York and came for the bills game and we had a very pleasant experience! The food was delicious-- I was so stuffed! Great price for the amount of food you get. I tried the Greek style frappe-- did not disappoint as I love coffee (not all the over sweetened stuff you get everywhere) our waiter (cannot remember his name) was very friendly and authentic. We asked him for his opinion of a few items and instead of placating me he gave his actual honest opinion which was helpful when I ordered. Eventually the waitress came out with real silverware and slammed it down while making a rude comment, despite me never having complained about it! The first rule of breakfast is that coffee should be served as close to immediately as possible. I mean you don't have to break your neck tripping over a small child to get it to me..... but I certainly should not be siting at my table for several l-o-n-g minutes trying to catch the eye of somebody.... anybody..... to get a cup. Even if you're busy (which you were not) ask if I want a cup, bring it right over, and then tell me that you're busy and you will be back in a bit to take my order. That said, the place is lovely. Super clean and well decorated and sparkly with fancy chandeliers (in a non-gaudy way). The menu is quite complete with just about everything imaginable for breakfast (benedicts.... and waffles.... and omelets.... and crepes....) as well as lunch and dinner (sandwiches.... and salads.... and Greek specialties..... and even fish-fries on Fridays). The service (other than the long coffee wait time) was friendly and attentive. Two of us came for breakfast. I ordered the "Spinach and Cheddar Crepe" (but I substituted feta for the cheddar) and my dining companion had a Western Omelet (and substituted cheddar for the American cheese). Both plates came out in a reasonable time and were quite lovely to look at and were quite large portion sizes. The problem, however, is that the food was not hot enough and was honestly not that tasty. The batter used for my crepe was very sweet. Perhaps that would have been fine if I had ordered a crepe filled with berries and topped with whipped cream.... but it just did not work with a savory dish. Not at all! It was like a battle occurred in my mouth with each bite with neither sweet nor savory winning and most of my meal ending up lying on the plate defeated. The home-fried potatoes were tasty, but barely luke-warm. The Western Omelet was so ham-heavy that the more subtle flavors of cheese and peppers and onions were barely detectable. It was accompanied by more tasty, but cool potatoes and a choice of toast or pancakes. The pancakes that were chosen were easily the star of the show.... light and fluffy (like practically an inch thick) they were the perfect vehicle for sopping up lots of butter and syrup. Perhaps it was an off day. I certainly hope so because this place is so darn cute! I've been selfishly waiting to review Eggsperience Vasilis until they started serving alcohol so I could give it 5 stars :D I recently noticed cute little signs saying they serve mimosas (and I believe beer) during brunch! However just the food and service alone are also worthy of 5 stars. DONT RECOMMEND!!! placed my order with 2 souvlaki breakfasts and they literally gave me cold chicken cold potatoes and the eggs were disgusting. not to mention I couldn't even contact anyone because they closed at 2 and I picked my order up at 1:50.
