Moving from Toronto has been hard adjusting to smaller selection of restaurants and chains around Pickering. I was always sceptical to eat at egg smart because it was a chain however I am impressed and happy with the chance I took today to go there. Before they used to have a lot less options that were a little bit more classic. However they have adopted to the Instagram crazed items like eggs Benedict, avocado toast, French toast and Nutella and so on. I would definitely recommend coming here on a weekly basis to get a good brunch fix!!! The quality, portion, presentation and service were that of the same level as top restaurants in Toronto. We had ordered the salmon eggs Benedict and added spinach with it, bacon eggs Benedict and French toast with Nutella, cinnamon sugar, berries and cream cheese frosting. All of which came piping hot, presented nicely, and with lots of sauce. Sauce is the key. They poach the eggs perfectly so that we could have some great yolk porn. And especially during Covid they are quite clean and sanitized properly which we appreciate a lot!

Prices were reasonable, food wasn't terrible but wasn't my favourite. Peameal bacon taste and look like it had been boiled, wasn't very good. Wasn't a fan of potatoes either too bland and I really prefer deep fried.

It's okay. The pancakes are super dry and they don't listen to your order carefully. Had to send things back twice. The waiters seemed fake.

The poached eggs were medium with lots of yolk to spread on the peameal bacon and english muffin. The shredded potato hashbrown is addictive and massive portions. The baked beans were nice and warm to compliment your breakfast. I ordered the 3 eggs over easy with 3 sausages and 3 bacon. They actually serve 4 eggs which I assume they are using medium sized eggs. That's OK as the extra makes up for the smaller eggs. You get a choice of toast ( white, whole wheat or rye) along with shredded potato hashbrowns or home fries. My mother-in-law ordered the Western Omelet with ham and onion. She really enjoyed the dish and she managed to eat almost half of the dish. The coffee is bottomless and the service is very friendly. I suggest dressing up for the cold weather because you might have to lineup outside the restaurant. I don't think they take reservations and it's first come first serve.

I ordered the Wake Up Call $16.95 4 eggs, 3 strips of bacon, 3 breakfast sausages, 2 slices of ham, and pancakes. Please note the server asked me if I wanted chocolate chip or blueberry pancakes. I chose blueberry and was charged an additional $2.50. It would be nice if the server told me the upcharge for the blueberry pancakes. My wife who was celebrating her birthday got the Rooster benedict which came avocado and bacon. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly soft and Hollandaise sauce was on point. Their coffee is really good and bottomless. We had like 3 cups of coffee. Overall we enjoyed the breakfast and the service here is friendly. The dining area is your typical grease spoon type of diner. I recommend coming here for your brunch fix. They also have a lunch menu with some burgers, sandwiches, wraps, poutines, fish n chips and chicken n waffles.

With a closing time of 4:00pm, their menu features (all day) breakfast items, sandwiches, burgers, pasta, and a few entrees. There's a little bit of everything. In addition to traditional and classic Canadian fare, there's Mexican, Italian, Greek, Asian, South Asian, Cajun, and more. I think they got most bases covered. I ordered the Eggs Jenny, a variation of Eggs Benedict - two poached eggs on house made crab cakes with hollandaise sauce and home fries. The crab cakes, made with real crab (not surimi), were good but maybe not outstanding. The eggs were perfectly poached to my liking. The home fries were also good. The execution of this dish was very good but the hollandaise sauce was disappointing. It was thick, lumpy, and bland. I tried not to eat it. The restaurant was clean and the service was very good. The rest of the menu looks interesting enough, with reasonable pricing for me to come back. I just won't order anything with hollandaise.
