Pure breakfast bliss. I ordered just for the name alone is Slut. Mashed potato and egg mixture. It was a unique taste but I could get down with it. Pro tip: don't skip the crispy truffle hash browns. Stopped by Eggslut on a Saturday morning around 10am and was surprised there was no line. I ordered the sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich, the honey mustard aioli with warm brioche bun really makes it so good! They didn't have the truffle hashbrown I usually get, but I tried the truffle tots instead and it still had the perfect crunch. They no longer have fresh-squeezed orange juice, which was a bit disappointing, but the menu is expanding and I'd like to try the French toast next time. We got the fairfax (salad style) and the chicken sausage, egg, and cheese brioche sandwich. My only complaint would have to be the sausage being very salty, plus I wish there was a bit more of their Sriracha mayo in the sandwich. We got to Venice Beach pretty early so we walked to this breakfast spot for a quick bite. It's pretty small inside so you're lucky if you could find a seat. You order first at the register. We ordered the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich, sausage egg, and cheese, sandwich, French toast sticks, and hashbrowns with a side of orange juice. They have a smoke canteen for self serve water. Food is ready in about 10 minutes. The hashbrowns were cooked to perfection, the French toast sticks are great for kids, and the breakfast sandwiches were really good. The brioche bread is so soft and fluffy. The place could have employees cleaning tables as people leave or have Clorox wipes so that we can do it on our own. They do close at 2 PM which I understand because it is a breakfast food spot. read more

Service was fast despite them being very busy on a Friday morning. I got the Sausage Egg and Cheese, and the sausage patty was pretty thin and bland. If I come again I'll order the bacon egg and cheese, as it seemed like that one is more popular. The brioche bun was crisp and yummy, and the cold brew coffee was pretty good. A great takeout option in busy Venice. They specialize in to go, but there are also many tables inside so you can eat inside if you want, which is what we chose to do this past Saturday morning. We wanted to go to a restaurant close by, but the line was extremely long and thankfully Eggslut has very quick service and very good food so it was a great alternate option. The menu is very limited, there are only a handful of items. The most popular being the soft scramble breakfast sandwich, but for this most recent visit, I wanted to mix it up and try the Double Cheeseburger. There are many locations, but this is one of my favorites because it is very close to the beach. Pricing is pretty fair and everything that we ordered was ready within 10 minutes. Parking in this area can be a bit of a hassle and it's hard to find free parking, but it is possible. I started off my breakfast with the Slut which is a coddled egg mixed with potato puree. It sounds weird, but it is honestly really good. The runny egg really makes for a great treat. As mentioned I wanted to try something different this time so I ordered their Double Cheeseburger and honestly really enjoyed it. It comes with guacamole, which is one of my favorite things ever and the patties were seasoned well and cooked perfectly. It was large, but not overly big. They also have an amazing Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cold Brew. It was one of the better cold brews that I've had in a very long time and would highly recommend it. I would honestly go back here specifically for that cold brew. Overall, a great to go option for breakfast or lunch. I have been many times in the past and will visit again many times in the future. Located near the Venice boardwalk so a prime location, parking is difficult to find. The shop is quite small so it was hard to find a table. It was only 10 AM and they said they ran out of coffee which is crazy. I didn't understand why they couldn't brew more since it was still morning time. The biggest downside is the lack of a restroom, not even a sink to wash your hands. Most of the food they serve is meant to be eaten with bare hands, which is a bit unsanitary with no wash station. It would be nice if they had at least some disinfecting wipes, but they didn't think of that either. Was introduced to Eggslut by a friend of mine a couple months ago after a long weekend of Memorial Day partying in Vegas. We flew to LA where another friend let us stay at his nearby beach house, so a 5 minute walk to Eggslut from there. The layout is very simple: Order on the right side, find a place to sit along the bar or off to the left side of the restaurant. The "Slut", as it's called, is a softly-cooked egg on top of a kind of potato puree and served hot in a small jar. You mix this up thoroughly, then spoon it onto the crunchy baguette bread slices and IT'S HEAVEN!! :-D In addition to that, I also got their Bacon, Egg, & Cheese Sandwich. This sandwich is my breakfast dream! Consisting of "hardwood smoked bacon, cage-free over medium egg, cheddar cheese and chipotle ketchup in a warm brioche bun", this is a true gastronomic wonder. But be warned: The egg yolk will be runny, so be sure to break it and spread it all over the egg whites for a bite-for-bite bit of bliss! Love this place so much that I did a repeat for Fourth of July weekend, and then a few weeks after that! Eggslut is now one of my all-time favorite breakfast places, and I'll be sure to visit whenever I'm in town. read more

I was so looking forward to eating at this iconic LA egg sandwich shop. I really wanted to love it. The biscuit was so dry. I was tempted to return it. The biscuit recipe needs to be revisited or it could have been even an old biscuit. A good biscuit is supposed to be moist and almost creamy inside with a nice subtle crust and crunch on the outside. The bacon, egg and cheese sandwich was underwhelming. The egg was supposed to be the star since this restaurant is called egg slut. But the egg was so unsubstantial. The bacon stole the show. The brioche bread was just alright, no super soft or anything special, it was actually a bit on the dry side too. The egg yolk was runny which I liked but just not enough of it. I suggest more eggs and less bacon. The Fairfax sandwich was better. It had nice soft eggs, cheese and onions. Still, not a wow. But good. The lines were out the door this Saturday morning at 10:30am. Service was fine. The place was small and packed with tables and stools. It had good energy because of all the people inside and outside but the egg was just not the star of the food. I definitely have had better biscuit and better egg sandwiches. Super delicious! I just discovered there is an eggslut near work in Venice! I ordered the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese via uber eats and it was absolutely phenomenal! I have no idea how they got the egg to still be beautifully over-easy when I received my order, but it was truly legendary. A few weeks ago, I had an eggslut sandwich at an event at work and I was dying to get my hands on another one. Something about it being so simple, yet so delicious was completely up my alley!
