Eggsclusive Cafe continues to serve delicious food with excellent service. Everyone is efficient and very friendly. I tried the Rocky Mountain Skillet today with Black Bean and Quinoa hash instead of potatoes. Delicious! The skillet was very hearty with lots and lots of diced ham and veggies. The Jack cheese gave just enough spice to complement the dish. The serving is very large, and with 2 pancakes for my sweet tooth, I will be enjoying the meal again at home....probably 2 more times! Food portion is large and staff was very attentive. Ambience noise is quite loud but did not bother us. I would suggest some panels on the walls to help with the bouncing noises (ceiling is open) sound aside the food and Staff are great. We will be back. read more

I've been here twice and both times have been excellent. First time I got the tres en las mananas pork tacos, which were spicy, sweet and tasty. Another time I ordered the louisdevil French toast with a side of hash Browns. The French toast was crispy and creamy with filling of bourbon Bacon cream cheese. Sounds crazy, but it was so good. Sweet and savory. The only minor issue is that the food didn't come out hot, but we were sitting outside in the mimosa gardens. The time it took our server to walk from the kitchen to the terrace probably cooled our food down a bit. Outside dining was beautiful and the mimosas were great. read more

Full disclosure: This is an updated review from a previous two-star review that I had left after having a bad experience here. After writing a review that reflected my anger at having felt disrespected at this establishment, the staff member involved in the incident wrote me a long, heartfelt apology at how he treated me. I accepted this because it was more than a standard, form letter apology. I could tell he genuinely felt bad for the incident, and it reflected in the apology. Eggsclusive Cafe is a great place with excellent food. Even in the midst of my previously angry review, I still wrote my praises for the food, because it really is good and worth the money. And now I feel that I can again visit this place and be able to enjoy its food once again. It's good to know that there are still places that will graciously accept when a mistake was made, and will go a greater length to make up for it. read more

Went here yesterday for my birthday brunch. Wasn't very busy being a weekday, so we were seated immediately. Our seats were next to a noisy group, so we asked our waitress if we could move and she said no problem, even offered to move our drinks and silverware. Someone in my party had mentioned it was my birthday and after we got our coffee, our waitress Olivia brought over a very generously-sized Nutella crepe with fresh strawberries as a birthday treat. So so nice! I love how they stenciled in "ec" with powdered sugar on the crepe...nice touch. Our food arrived hot with fresh vegetables in our omelette a and skillets. We also got pancakes with our meals that came with warm maple syrup and strawberry sauce. Of course our food was delicious, but the 5 stars is definitely for Olivia. We haven't had great luck with servers in the past, but she was just so top notch. Nicest girl and such amazing service. She even sent me home with a fresh coffee to go and brought over cream and sugar. Cannot say enough good things after her! Definitely recommend if you are in the Rockford area. read more

First off the food was good. Nice thick bacon, french toast was yummy, and jams for toast was probably handmade. However, the price is why I gave an average review. My bill was $50 plus for one adult, one teenager, and ten year old for regular breakfast food. There is no kid menu, so 10 yr old did not finish his food. Orange juice was fresh squeezed but you pay a price for that. There are other interesting items on menu that would probably be worth trying for price, but if you are looking for typical breakfast food, this is not the best value. read more

We just keep going back. Great food and always friendly service. We love that it is a local and not some big chain restaurant. I tend to gravitate towards the eggs Benedict. Yum! The food was good, not great. Portions were very large. We started with 4 fresh-squeezed OJs. Awesome fresh juice, but the kids could have split one. She asked the waitress about the hash browns and I didn't hear her and asked again and the waitress said I told you they were gluten free, I wouldn't lie to you and then went on to say, if your that afraid of it I just wouldn't eat anything! Very nice menu.....it was very difficult to choose everything sounded so great and a little unique (which I personally love). It's refreshing to have a place put a new twist on things. Very friendly staff, nice lighting, plenty of seating, very nice feel to the place! Then the menu....wow....it all looks sooo good. Ordered the southern benedict and my girlfriend ordered crabcake benedict. Both were made perfectly and extremely tastey! All the young people working there were quite attentive to their responsibilities and to the customers. The teamwork and courtesy they display could stand as an example to others in the industry. I just can't agree with the other reviews. Yes they have huge portion sizes but the food is average at best. A substantial amount of their menu includes "perfectly poached eggs" but mine were basically hard boiled. They did offer new eggs - but JUST the eggs. They left my entree sitting on the table in front of me so I had to reassemble it myself when she brought the correctly cooked eggs. By that time the rest of my food was cold and the rest of my party was finished eating (they had ordered scrambled). Not what you expect for a $70 breakfast for 3 people! The staff was great. But, again, not worth the over inflated price and subpar food. We had 3 generations looking for a new favorite spot and we were all very disappointed! read more

Hands down one of the nicest restaurants in rockford. Love that they have alcohol at a breakfast joint. Don't see that too often. Their bloody Mary's are amazing, same with the mimosas especially with there fresh squeezed oj. Owners work hard and staff is super friendly. Food is great and portions are perfect. Went there today with a couple of people from work for lunch. I got a standard breakfast with corned beef hash and the diced potatoes and it was the best I ever had. Their toast is a little thicker than normal, and although I'm not a fan of jelly, it came out with a thinned out strawberry concoction that I couldn't get enough of. Their iced tea is wonderful. The eggs and potatoes were cooked perfectly. I've seen a few reviews here that say its too loud and I could see that, maybe a few strategically placed sound panels could help. Another person complained the portions were too large and went off on a tirade about the combined girth of the average American family, come on this is a breakfast restaurant, and a really good one. You can always jog 10 miles to your Starbucks with your iPhone health app and then jog home for some whine and brie. This place is owned by some people from Sycamore that I guess have a place there also. I wish them luck, when I'm back in Rockford for work I'll be back. read more
