I absolutely love going to the East State location. The manager is always incredibly friendly and provides excellent service. They don't go light on the oil & vinegar, which I really appreciate. I always enjoy stopping by this location and I highly recommend it. read more

Jersey Mike's Subs - #13 with jalapenos - Sandwiches Near Me - Rockford, Illinois

Overall place is always crowded, and lots of orders. The day I visited establishment it was busy for a Monday mid day. I waited for a while to have someone take my order. It looked like they were short one person since the poor manager was running around doing everything. I tried The #13 The Original Italian with mayonnaise and it was just ok. They added too much of the sauce that made bread soggy. The sandwich had provolone, ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami, pepperoni, lettuce, tomato, and spices. The tables were not clean and if you wanted to take a seat, you had to clean your own table. The great thing is they have a foundation soda machine. read more

Great service I went in for a pickup online someone already grabbed my sandwich and they were very kind asks made me a new one Definitely recommend I'm not from Rockford either read more

We ordered online. Food was waiting for us when we arrived. The sandwiches are always fresh and well prepared. My favorite is #6 with all the trimmings. I only wish they had better sides and desserts. read more

I ordered a steak and portabello sub and almost the entire sandwich was grilled onions. Piles and piles of grilled onions with a couple of mushrooms and little green pepper strips and no meat with melted cheese on bread. It was either purposely made that way without reason or they are completely ignorant of how to perform a basic task. Either way, they need to get a different line of hourly work away from food service. It is a bad idea to mess with people's overly-priced food. I am the dumbass for going there with any expectations. read more

Just had it billion times, but was never better, but it always has sucked and always will I bet and the meat is not fresh and nothing there is fresh. It is all old and the service was horrible. read more

I ordered this online paid for it was told when it would be ready I got there right when it was ready or should've been ready and that I waited 20 minutes! And when I complained the girls were busy my reply was so am I. I was on my lunch break. Had I known I would have waited to leave to pick up. The cashier was very rude. I could've went in store ordered my food and had it before online order was actually ready. read more

I have never had a bad meal at Jersey Mike's! Prepared to perfection every time and order is always correct.

First time ever visiting a Jersey Mikes. I always enjoy trying something new & figuring out my first impression. Always starts with the team. I walked up and explained this is my first time here. They guided me on how the menu works and what "Mikes way" means. I told them to pick anything off the menu they'd suggest and I'd try it. They gave me a #8 and wow. Delicious. The team was wonderful & the place is clean and well kept. I knew I was missing out by not coming in here but now I'll be a forever customer. read more

We went to Jersey Mike's for lunch today. They are relatively new and I hadn't been there yet. Yay new places for lunch! We walked in and there was a decent line of people waiting to be served as well as most of the dining area filled. The service is a little slow, but to be honest not any slower than what you would find at most sandwich shops. Of course I'm normally used to placing my order then waiting. I'm not used to waiting to place my order and then getting to wait even more. In fact we waited so long to get our food that the cashier forgot if we paid for our meals... which we had. The staff was very friendly, but a couple of them and a guy I believe was the manager was more interested in horsing around and chit chatting amongst themselves. When the person on the grill brought over our sandwiches and placed them next to the cashier, he didn't acknowledge it. We had to reach over to grab them so we could leave. When we grabbed them is when he asked if we had paid, not if we wanted a bag or napkins or anything else. My wife ordered the Jersey Mike's Famous Philly, I ordered the Chipotle Cheesesteak. We both agreed that it was okay. It's on the same level as all the other chains out there; nothing special, nothing bad. We both thought the bread was a little doughy and the meat on mine was little chewy and tough. My wife said her's wasn't too bad. So I'm going to chalk that up to me getting some bad meat. There was an average amount of meat, cheese, onions and peppers on the sandwich. I was hoping for more of a chipotle kick. I like a little heat and this didn't deliver. Overall, it was an okay experience. The level of service was annoying and that in and of itself may determine if I go back to try something else at a later time. read more

If you're like me, you like an old school, no frills place to eat that tastes good. While it's a franchise, nothing comes closer to that than Jersey Mike's here in Rockford. The bread is phenomenal as are the ingredients so if you're a simple sub fan you will not be disappointed. The guys behind the counter are really nice too and it lends itself well to that "old school deli" feel. I highly recommend. read more

I tried ordering my food online like I usually do, and I kept getting a robot test to verify I was not a robot, Car, Bus, bicycle, etc. this went on for 20 minutes and I figured I would call to place my order, well called 6 times and went to voicemail 6 times. I must assume they do not want any business any longer or service is totally out the window unless we can speak Bot or app languages. This is such a shame. read more

I placed a small order thru the Jersey Mike's app. Jersey Mike's used Doordash to deliver my order which never arrived. I called the store to let them know and find out what my options were I spoke to Nick. He told me this issue is not their problem and I would need to contact Doordash. I didn't order thru Doordash, I ordered thru Jersey Mike's. Nick did absolutely nothing to assist. I will never again use this store. Zero stars. read more

employees had great personalities very interactive. They were quick at making the sandwiches and ingredients looked fresh! great experience and food was yummy! read more

Wasn't overly impressed. Had never been to a Jersey Mike's before and anticipated something like Subway. The line was overly long, we waited forever, and all I got was a simple sandwich with meat and a few optional toppings. I could have made a much better sandwich at home or gone to subway. I'm sure people love their sandwiches, I just didn't. read more

Jersey Mikes is our FAVORITE place to go! We love the food and usually people are so KIND and amazing! Today we had a horrible experience with some douche bag named MATT. He was extremely rude when he took our order, he had a horrible attitude. My boyfriend even thought he was acting racist. Now if you hate your job so much I recommend quitting because being rude to your guest with a snarky attitude isn't going to get you anywhere. Take the day off bud and respect your employees as well because they had no ISSUE giving me your name! read more

Great Subs! Friendly service, convenient location! We saw an ad on TV and decided to give it a try. We we were not disappointed! Next time your hungry for something different and tasty go to Jersey Mike"s. See you there! read more

Employees were kind to us but as soon as a black man came trying to order a sandwich they told him they didn't have it then started arguing later threatening to call the police on him. all employees stopped working to go to the back and discuss everything while there was a line of people outside waiting for their to be taken most customers left. Food was mid. Added to much sauce causing the bread to get to saggy to eat. read more

Jersey Mike's rules. The staff rules. They're all philanthropic and shit...always asking if you wanna donate to the latest disaster or battered women's shelter or orphan museum or whatever. ...but their Shore Points rewards card is useless. You have to buy six miles of sub before you get a reward. You basically have to buy enough subs to line a shore for your Shore Points to go to work for you. I might be alone on this, but I feel like if you're gonna make me carry around a card...like a legit, plastic card...you should make your rewards come more frequently. Do a monthly thing where on certain days, you get triple points or something, I don't know. I'm gonna be 60 years old telling my grandkids about the ONE time I got a free sub from Jersey Mike's. Also, it would be heaps wicked if I could update my information online instead of having to send an impassioned telegraph to Jersey Mike's Headquarters in Langley, Virginia to get a phone number change. I got a different phone number and now I guess I'm just fxcked. Having gotten my bitching out of the way, their subs are second to none. They're so good, I'm almost willing to buy the six miles of sub I need to get free shit. Almost. I checked 'romantic' in the ambience section because I lol'd. It's only romantic if you make it that way. If you were 900 lbs and had a huge mouth, you could probably do the Lady and the Tramp spaghetti scene with a giant #13 Classic Italian. Fatty. luv u guys tho frfr. read more

Service is horrible. Gave one of the subs of ours twice to someone else. Asked for the super sub with three different meats and the sub had only ham. Paid $26 for a 6" & 12". NEVER GOING BACK!! read more

Every once in awhile I get a hankering for jersey mikes. I'm not a sub sandwich type of person, hence the lack of desire to eat here often. The only problem is that they never get my sandwich right or overload on sauces making it turn out soggy. The last three times I got a sandwich to go, they left something off of it...something that dramatically changed the sandwich. The ingredients are definitely good (much better than subway or the like) and the service at this location is excellent, but if I can't get what I order, why do I keep going back to spend $7-10 on a sandwich?!?! read more

This has become one of my favorite sandwich places! To watch them slice and make your sandwich gives that east cast deli vibe!! If you like s little spice on your sub, you must order the cherry pepper relish!!! I'm also a big fan of their Philly's, the chipotle mayo is nice twist. read more

Our family just started going to Jersey Mike's this past March. Mind you saying we love to cook is an understatement so we do not eat out often. This is definitely not Subway because there is meat on my sandwich. It's not Cousins because I can chew the bread and again there is meat and cheese on my sandwich instead of just bread. Not Jimmy John's for so many more reasons. A definite must on movie night, game night and damn it's been a hectic day night. I personally do not thinks its pricey because you get what you pay for... Maybe some consistancy with employ6or management would help. 1-10. 8.5. read more

The food is very good although a bit overpriced for what you're receiving. The workers are hit or miss. You have great workers that are straight to the point and never make your experience an inconvenience. On the other hand however, you have workers who will only put 2 things on your sandwich and call it a day even though you say 3 times you're not even done with building your sandwich yet. Not sure if some of them just have hearing problems or what, but whatever (Probably don't visit at lunch time if you don't want an experience like this). I recommend this place if you're tired of Subway and/or Jimmy John's. read more

The Big Kahuna is a fantastic cheese steak, either with chicken or steak. Very tasty, piping hot, and filling (I had two only because it was so damn addicting; unlike the skimpy subs at a place with two first names). Only complaint is its a tad pricey. read more

Sandwiches are pretty decent. I feel like prices are kinda high for what I'm getting. Sometimes I feel like there's barely any meat on there. read more

As a fan of GOOD Italian subs, I had to try this place. Was interested in their proscuitto/cappicola offering. $11.95 for the "giant". Bread was giant. Meat was ridiculously scant. Continued the order process knowing I was not going to be satisfied. Asked for oil and vinegar finish and almost jumped the counter. Server completely drenched half the bread in red vinegar. Condiments NEVER go on the bread. After tax $13 later I take the responsibility to steer others clear of this disaster. Not a fan of Subway, I assure you they would be the lesser of two evils. Jimmy John's, here I come. $12 will get you a double-meat sub that satisfies. read more

Fast, friendly, and perhaps overly eager service. Modern, clean ambience - without deafening music blaring . JJ's you know who I'am talking about. The Big Kahuna cheese steak was great - loaded with meat and cheese. read more

This was my number one go to place when I lived on the campus nearby. Even now I'll still try to stop by when I can. They have fresh bread && excellent fresh deli meat that they slice right in front of you. I also really like the staff, it's a very welcoming and fun environment. read more

We came here because a few of my friends are big fans of the place. The food was excellent, and I loved that they cut the meat right there in front of you, rather than having it be pre-sliced. I got the club, which I am just realizing now did NOT have bacon on it, as it says on the menu. I won't deduct a star for that, this time! Food was good and ingredients were fresh. The staff was friendly, but the guy making the sandwiches was INCREDIBLY INCREDIBLY slow. Like take your sweet time slow and not understanding that "everything" means everything...you don't have to ask if I want jalapenos, that is included in everything! They could have used at least one other person preparing the sandwiches as there was a line the entire time we were there. Just don't go in expecting a quick meal! read more

I had never heard of Jersey Mike's before it popped up in Rockford. I heard that it was better than Jimmy John's and I love that place so I wanted to try it. I would say that its like Subway but better quality. Its not really like Jimmy Johns besides the fact that they both sell sandwiches. The first time I came was with a friend and we were the only customers there. We mentioned to the guy behind the counter that we hadn't been there and he was really nice and told us about the menu and then told us what their most popular hot sub and cold sub were. We got one of each and split it. The Italian is the most popular cold sub. We got a regular and the thing is huge! We ordered its Mike's Way and it was delicious. The Philly Cheesesteak is their most popular hot sub so we just got that how it comes with onions and peppers. We really liked both sandwiches and Ive been back a few times since. I would suggest getting their free reward card because I got the points for the first 2 subs we got and when I came back, I already had enough points for a free mini sub, which arent mini at all. Some days are even double points. I would also suggest to sign up for their texts too. I went back today with my boyfriend because I got a text saying if you buy a sub you get chips and a drink free. The sandwiches are kind of expensive too. It was $14 for 2 regular size sandwiches. read more

I'm not a big eater of fast foods, but once or twice a year, I'll try something new. I had a Jersey Mikes sub the other day and was actually quite impressed. A lot of meat on the sub- much more than I expected. Also, I went for the brownie- usually a mistake at fast food places as they wreak of chemicals, but this one tasted great. The chips also were way above average. So all in all, this was a better experience than I was expecting. Good job guys. read more

The two ladies working at the front were very efficient and friendly; great service!! The environment was very tidy and well kept. My sub sandwich was absolutely perfect! thank you so much! Definitely coming here again!! read more

This place is hands down the best sub shop in Rockford. Potbelly had hot subs sure, Jimmy Johns can make it quick, but Jersey Mike's is quality food. I loved the nice and friendly service who when asked, answered every question with class. GET THE number 9!!! Best sandwich ever. read more

WORST customer service ever! The gentleman (who I presume by his demeanor was"in charge") would not take my order because he said they were too busy..? So you don't want my money? The two ladies working at the front worked well together and they were quick on their feet and efficient. Took another place forever to take my order ! Jersey mikes had me in and out ! Way to go guys !

I decided to try this place after driving by several times. Unlike the reviewer before me, I had never heard of this chain and therefore had no expectations. Their menu is pretty large and appears that it changes on some sort of schedule, as the items are numbered but not in any real order. I ordered the "Big Kahuna" cheese steak and opted to add chipotle mayo. It was good and again, unlike the previous reviewer,y sandwich had a boatload of meat and the bread was good (not great). It was a large sandwich even though they call it a regular (7.5"). It weighed in around 1 pound or so. The cheese was of the processed variety but that's ok by me as it melts with a good consistency. My daughter had the chicken Caesar wrap and said it was good with the right amount of meat and lettuce. The prices are consistent with other sun shops. The store was clean and the staff was very friendly. I would recommend this place if your in the mood for a decent sub in a friendly atmosphere. read more

The sub was ok but the service, just plain weird. As soon as we opened the door, and I mean as soon as we did, the people behind the counter greeted us and started asking us what we would like. I mean it's nice to be greeted but give me a second to walk in the door and up to the counter before I choose a sandwich. It was my first time in the place and it just took me back. And then when I was ordering my sandwich, the questions about my day were just odd and a little too personal for my liking. I don't know if it's the shtick or what, but it's not for me. read more
