Milkshake is 10/10, maybe 11/10. Consistency is perfect. Ice cream well churned. Melts right in your mouth. I haven't tried their burgers, fries, and extras so I can't say much. But if you love milkshakes, and they're ain't no Shake Shack around, Buona is that place! Cheers! read more

The Greater Rockford area has an embarrassing number of stellar Italian beef sandwiches. Two months ago (Summer 2024) I proclaimed that Pomodoro was the best of the best. That proclamation is no longer accurate! Buona opens up here and changes the Italian beef landscape overnight! Intense Italian seasoning, paper thin slices stacked high, gravy (au jus) with even more seasoning floating in it, and a great roll all combine to make an excellent and unparalleled (as of 10-9-24) Italian beef sandwich experience. My group loved their beef sandwiches, but I only got the Arancini Beef Bites & Cheese Fries. I really they were fresh and a great snack. There's plenty of seating and in a continent location. Giving 5 stars because the service was outstanding. The team delivering the food were quick and very helpful consolidating all of our plates. Terrific customer service, awesome vibe, and great food! It's about time the Rockford area got a big city restaurant such as the great experience you get when eating at Buona. My friend got the Cheesy Italian Beef with crinkle fries, and I got the Italian beef & sausage protein bowl with a side of potato salad. Let's just say we left with big smiles and full bellies. We will be back. They will give you a free Italian Beef for signing up for their app. Also noteworthy is that they have a complete catering service available, and an Ice Cream "Rainbow Counter" that caters to anyone with a sweet tooth. As Riverside Blvd becomes restaurant row, I feel Buona will be one of the "go-to" restaurants for years to come. I recommend anyone who reads this to go check it out! read more

The place was clean, staff was pleasant. Unfortunately thats all the good I can say. The pizza was probably the worst single food item I have had in my life. There was so much cornmeal under the crust i felt life I was eating a pizza on top of a tortilla. The sauce was horrible. The cheese marginal at best. I wish I could give zero stars. read more

You should definitely check out Buona! The staff is super friendly--Sherry took our order and was fantastic. Everything is made fresh to order, and our meals came out quickly and piping hot. I had the rigatoni marinara with a side salad and onion rings--everything was full of flavor. My son ordered a burger and said it was one of the best he's had. My husband got the beef bites (I think that's what they're called) and a roast beef sandwich loaded with green peppers, sausage, and mozzarella cheese. He really enjoyed it! My first Buona experience was in St Charles a few years ago and was extremely pleased with menu and quality of what was offered, very good !! When I had heard Buona was coming to Loves Park and being located in front of farm & fleet my mouth started to water.....no, not really...lol But it made me excited to have a different Beef option in our area.... **UPDATE** Bouna manager reached out and made things right with me. Not a great first experience for the new Loves Park location. On September 13th I decided to order me and the wife some beefs since we've had Buona in Chicago before and really liked it. So we order on the app. Wife gets a regular beef with hot peppers and I get the combo beef and sausage with hot peppers, which is more money. So I get there, pull in the drive through and tell them my name. I maybe wait 5 minutes and I have my food. Pretty good so far. Well, because of the way the sandwiches are wrapped it makes it hard to make sure your order is correct. So I figure, they should be fine. Get back home to Machesney Park and find that I didn't receive a combo (which is more money) but instead, a regular beef with cheese (which I didn't order) and peppers. So by that time, I wasn't going to drive back and just figured I would use the feedback option via Bouna.com. So I leave my feedback, talked about what happened, uploaded my receipt and food picture. Maybe 2 days later I did get a response that they were sorry and I received a 10 dollar off coupon to redeem. Win, right? So when they send me this code to redeem I clicked the link and was trying to get to the point where I could print it. It had a QR code and everything. So I click it and it tells me that I had redeemed it. Like if I was at the store and used it. BUT I DIDN'T! So I try and reply back to the emails I received regarding the feedback. One looked to be from the main site, the other maybe a no-reply bot. Bulk of the story is I didn't get my combo, they tried to Remedy it for me with the $10 off, which was great. But they need to realize I didn't actually get to redeem my coupon. So in the end, I lose. read more

We just got back home from eating lunch at our local Bouna. Both my wife and I had a beef sandwich, fries, and a Pepsi. All of it was excellent. The service was also excellent. Before we left, one of the employees presented us with a menu. There looks like some great items on the at this restaurant. The restaurant has a very nice, clean dining area, and the employees were very helpful. We will be returning soon and trying some of the other menu items. read more

Was fun while it lasted working here when you order food at the kiosk make sure you take your number that's how you are here as an employee you're just a number they don't care what you've been through how many hours you need nothing if you're not their favorite they don't care about you let's hire more people to stand around instead of keeping the ones there that have awesome reviews and love their job and love people there but no they don't seem to want that such a shame thank you to the member who never gave up asking me to come work there and offered me a job for great things to come definitely pays off being nice to people sad husband has a stroke and a semi and you lose everything and you tell them that during the interview you ask for a schedule change so you can get a second job so you can feed your kids and pay your bills and you're told no so that answers that how they treat people but other seem to get hours so so sad such a shame never come here again so sad read more
