Worst customer service . I had an expired reward by ONE day and they wouldn't re issue it or honor it. We never had Chick-Fil-A, and we needed a bite to eat, so we tried it out. The first thing we noticed (and my wife is retired from food service) is the place was Very Busy. Even for a Saturday night, VERY busy. She noted that she was surprised it was so busy. She ordered their 4 Chicken Fingers with a Salad, which was served with roasted walnuts, and I had their Spicy Deluxe Chicken Sandwich. Let's start with the Chicken Fingers. They looked bigger on the menu board - they were actually quite small, with 4 of them fitting in a box which was around 3" x 4". They came with 4 packages of the Chick-fil-A dipping sauce which was kind of sweet. My wife was surprised at the small size of the chicken strips. They were smaller than other places. I had their spicy deluxe chicken sandwich with their waffle fries. The waffle fries were very good, nicely salted, and tasty. The spicy deluxe chicken sandwich was spicy, but not that great. The breading was pretty plain, and while the chicken was good, it was not WOW - I WANT TO COME BACK good. They have a nice play area, with a place for parents to sit and watch their kids play. The restaurant was nice and clean, and they even had a place to drop unused packets of their various sauces and ketchup and what not. I have to come to this Chick-fil-A by default due to the location, if gas wasn't so expensive I would purposefully drive to another location. Out of all the Chick-fil-A's I've been to through out the years from small towns in the south to the big city locations like New York and Chicago this one is bad. Multiple issues and I ask to meet the restaurant operator who doesn't seem to be there when I ask to privately bring up concerns. It's not the food that's bad it's pretty consistent but it's the thought process and lack of professionalism that are very striking. Also as a kind gesture for the thank you rewards it would maybe help offering something other than free delivery considering they dont even deliver towards my house. Service is just what you expect from a Chic- Fil -A. We were treated with respect and kindness from the moment we entered the door. The whole place is clean and ran like a pro. Lots of employees constantly asking if you needed something. Bathroom was clean and well taken care of. Food is not as good as I remember. The hungry on my Chicken Sandwich fell apart on me. It got soggy easily. The Waffle Fries were not as well done as I would like. The shakes were delicious. The Seaonal flavor is Peach. So good! My kids ordered kids meals. One kids meal was missing their fries and toy. They apologized and got us the fries hot and fresh, right away. They apparently ran out of toys so my kids got ice cream instead. Not a big deal at all. I had heard that this Chick-fil-A had rocket fast service. I got here about 4:30 PM today at the beginning of dinner hour. Not many customers, but I was greeted by Kyah. She was charming, patient yet super efficient and had a nice smile. What a delight she was. The folks where I picked up the food we're also super efficient. Our favorite Chick-fil-A location, hands down. The service is excellent, I have literally never had anything but stellar experiences from every single employee I have been in contact with. And if something goes wrong, they've always been quick to fix it right away. Their food is great--I mean, come on, it's Chick-fil-A so you already know that--and I enjoy that while you can get some unhealthy options, they have some great light options available too, and are more than willing to work around food allergies if you tell them up front. This location has a kids play area, and the seating area inside is extremely well maintained. My wife and I also enjoy the app/rewards program. Fairly often they'll run specials like free breakfast week (Ron Swanson would be proud--literally a whole week of free breakfast food), free sandwiches just because, and mobile order week where you get free food by placing a free mobile order. And I believe for signing up for their app you get a free sandwich, too. We love Chick-fil-A and are excited these guys chose to come to the area! read more

Stop me if you've heard this one. A Chick-fil-A opens up in Rockford and everybody in a 20 mile radius flocks to it like pigeons to a handful of tossed bread crumbs. Seriously, the place has been packed for three days. I haven't eaten at a Chick-fil-A in almost 6 years. Honestly, I don't remember being all that impressed by them at the time. So I wasn't excited when word came out they were opening one locally. But they are new and on my route, so this morning on my way to work as I was driving past I noticed the line was short for the drive through and I decided to see what their breakfast items are like. This Chick-fil-A is located in the parking lot of a Lowe's hardware store. It has a Perryville address, but you have to access it by driving through the Lowe's parking lot entrance off of Argus Dr. If you are going to go through the Drive Through you need to immediately turn right at the edge of the parking lot. It's not hard to figure out. The line was short so I was able to put my order in immediately at a little after 9:30 (not sure exact time, but this is important) I sat at the speaker for a good 5 minutes after I placed my order before I was able to pull forward because the line wasn't moving. I needed to be to work at 10. Just to save everyone some time, This place is horribly slow. When I started to get frustrated I looked at the clock and it was 9:42 and I was barely around the corner of the drive through. (See picture) Then we waited more. By the time I received my food it was 9:58. Yep, I'm going to be late. The food itself is okay. I had the spicy chicken breakfast biscuit. This is probably one of, if not the spiciest fast food chicken sandwiches I've ever had. It was good; Great by fast food standards. Overall my impression is that they just opened and haven't fully trained the staff. Mix that with a huge influx of customers because it's someplace new to eat, you're going to have long waits. So if you are in a hurry, you might want to avoid this Chick-fil-A for a while until they get up to speed. I'll probably go back in a couple of months when things settle down and give them a second chance to be fair. When I do, I'll update this review. read more

I made it a point to walk all the way from my hotel to Chick-fil-A this morning because I always will choose them over a McDonald's or another chain restaurant because I believe in their business model. Well, since I'm traveling for business I don't have a vehicle with me and because of The current pandemic situation you can't walk into the restaurant. So I tried to walk up to the drive-through and they refused to serve me, I asked the guy if there was anyway I could order breakfast and he said the only way is to download the Chick-Fil_A app. So he expected me to stand there in the parking lot and download the app, login, put in credit card information, which I didn't have with me, when he could've just walked outside and taken my order. I called and spoke with the manager and she said that on occasion they will send someone out to take an order but I wasn't even given that option. And then, to top it off, a local resident was driving through the drive-through and I offered to even buy their breakfast if they would simply order my food, and they wouldn't even do that. I'm glad I'm not from the north apparently they're just not very friendly up here and I definitely won't come to this Chick-fil-A again! read more

We went here on Saturday because we heard they had the fastest and most accurate drive thru service(which is very true). But what happened next took the restaurant from regular to extraordinary! We went to the drive thru and we started to order and our kids started crying and acting up and just embarrassing us, the poor girl taking our order laughed it off and told us it's ok just take your time while my wife was trying to be cool with our obnoxious children. So we get to the window and the girl says we paid for your meal we hope you have a better day with a genuine smile! It literally melted me and my wife's heart! This location has the sweetest employees I've ever come in contact with. They are so on top of things and have the BEST manners in the world. The food is always fresh and they always go above and beyond to make sure that your visit isn't your last. I'm obsessed with their ice cream shakes, especially the peach one which is seasonal for summer and the cookies and cream. They are closed on Sundays. They have plenty of seating inside, a play area for kids and also offer catering! Wish there was more locations in the rockford area because it's the best fast food hands down. read more

I haven't eaten at a Chic-Fil-A since college where there was a little shop inside the local shopping mall. This restaurant was a stand alone building and we decided to give it a try. The cashier was a young guy who was really tall. Haha. I'm 6"3' and he was taller than me. I immediately noticed how polite and helpful he was. He explained the menu to me and was always smiling. I also noticed he replied to my thank you with, "My Pleasure" which is a positive reply as opposed to "no problem" which could be perceived as there was a problem. Anyway, he helped me choose the spicy chicken sandwich and cheerfully explained the table top thingy for someone to bring my food to me. Apparently the food is cooked to order??? It's a fast food restaurant and the chicken sandwich was actually better than I remembered it. It arrived hot from another smiling delivery gal. It had flavor and the toppings weren't slopped all over in excess. It looked as if they made it to eat themselves! Very nice presentation! The restaurant itself was very clean. We went around lunchtime so it was busy, and the empty tables were clean. Condiment area was very clean as well. I didn't use the restroom so I can't say if it was clean it not. However, if it's anything like the restaurant, it should be spotless. I will definitely go back the next time we're shopping in Rockford. read more

Never had a bad experience at Chic-Fil-A and this experience, like every experience I've had before I downloaded Yelp, was excellent. We came in during the lunch rush (full parking lot and dining area) and our food came out in less than 5 minutes. Plenty of other "fast" food places can't do that even with an empty restaurant for some reason Anyway, as I'm the gluten free guy I gotta talk about the options. They're menu is gluten free where you'd expect it, no hidden wheat products in anything. I was on the fence of giving this 3 or 4 stars. The reasons I gave it 3 stars: The chicken is better than what you get at some other fast food places, but most people hyped it up so much - saying the chicken was out of this world because it was cut and fried right in the facility. It's good, but it's not like heaven or anything. It's chicken. It's pretty decent, y'know? The waffle fries aren't terrible by any means - and it's cool that they have their own signature look - but they're kinda bland. Kinda. And every time I've had their fresh squeezed lemonade, it was warm. Seriously, that's kinda gross. But I was there the first day cause everybody was like "OH CHICK-FIL-A" so I wanted to experience that hype. The reason this place almost got 4 stars for me - Even though they were busy, the people there gave out free coupons for a free breakfast sandwich. Our second visit, my girlfriend's order was taking a very long time and the people cooking forgot to make it. So, the manager gave her a coupon for a free lunch sandwich. The staff is very friendly. Although, it could have been a situation where they were trying to look the best they could because they just opened and wanted to give the best impression possible. But I think a lot of the reason that people come here so often and why it's still so busy is that people are all hyped up about how Chick-Fil-A is a Christian company. I just wish people would just eat at a place because they think it's good, not because it's supports their religious beliefs. And what about people of other religious beliefs who want to eat there? They'll feel weird once they find out it's a Christian company. It is weird because a whole corporation shouldn't take such a huge stance on religion like that because some people will feel shunned, segregated, and unwelcome. So, 3 stars. It's decent food. Chick fil a is one of my favorite semi fast food places in Rockford. I love a few blocks away and that helps. They always have fresh flowered on each table and the staff is inevitably helpful and friendly. I always have the basic chick sandwich with a salad and soft drink, sometimes waffle fries and have never been unsatisfied. I have bern sadly disappointed some times that they are closed on Sundays but I must say that I respect very much their conviction. My gastronomic desires can easily be satisfied and missing a day of sandwiches is nothing compared to someone putting their money where their beliefs are. read more
