Before leaving Rome Georgia, I yelped this restaurant and it was pleasantly surprising. Located in a mall setting with ample parking. There's a bright ambient tone all throughout the restaurant and a pleasant atmosphere is what I mostly observed. We were sitting at a booth so it was quite comfortable. The wait staff was very kind and patient. We kept being in need of different items. I had the homestead platter which consisted of eggs any style, sausage, bacon and biscuit and gravy. This was a very good biscuit and gravy dish. Absolutely delicious. The eggs were scrambled perfectly and cooked to perfection, no wet spots. The sausages were very good and the bacon could have been warm but it was still delicious. Not too crunchy or overcooked. My partner had Three Little Dueces which consisted of pancakes, egg, and bacon. My partner said she enjoyed her meal and her bacon was warm. She also requested warm syrup. I find this restaurant to be a breath of fresh air. My partner wanted a little bit privacy because she talked loud but I found nothing wrong. If I'm visiting Rome Ga in the future, this is where I'll eat.

Great meal. Delicious Founder's hash, asked for well done and it was nice and crispy. Home fries are excellent. Jamie was very nice and attentive, and my coffee was always full. Very cozy breakfast spot. No room for improvement here, will be back when in town!

This place never disappoints. Everything is wonderful, but I always get the crab cake benny. Can't go wrong with the mimosas either.

Fun, eclectic eatery located in the heart of downtown Rome…read more The space is wide open and has a small, hometown feel to it with fun art and memorabilia hanging from the ceiling and walls. The menu is full of classic, comfort style dishes that will make you feel at home. Or server was a true southern belle with all the charm and kindness you would expect. I had a burger and it was delicious. This thing was MASSIVE and cooked to a perfect medium well as I had requested. The fries were also pretty good. They could have used a bit more seasoning but there was salt on the table!

This is a Southern Restaurant in a southern town. So I opted for a Shepherd's Pie from the St Paddy's Day menu. Yeah, go figure. It was rather bland. When I make this dish, I use ample cream in the potatoes (Irish style) and make a thicker, more moist pie, with a good deal of tomato in it. This was a bland substitute. Far better the next day when I added in enough butter to make the potatoes shine. I will give props for using lamb on this. She had the salmon patties. Fairly simple, also rather bland. Mashed potatoes as well. Breading on the okra was fine. Staff? Very friendly waiter. Answered all the questions and even described the drinks. As this has a good craft beer selection, I opted for one I had not had before and she got a smokey old fashioned. The old fasthioned did not have the cherries or orange peel you would normally see, but was rather strong and did use a rye whiskey. I would not go there for the drink, but reasonably priced. The ambiance is great. Typical of Rome, GA establishments, you can feel the history. They also have a rooftop bar and a separate bar area, for those seeking out a drink or two. Summary: The experience was good, but the food was bland. If you like to heavily salt your food, this might not be as big of a deal. On the whole, 3 stars, for average. Compared to other places in Rome, some of which are really bad, you would prefer this to many places. Nothing really bad to say, but nothing really good. Just average.

However, when another party came in behind me, the hostess, Emily, immediately acknowledged them, asked for their party size, and took their information. I then approached her to let her know I was there as a party of one. Instead of a simple greeting or welcome, I was met with a flat 'Do you want to sit at the tabletop?' The tone felt dismissive and off-putting. At that point, I chose to leave. They were not busy . It was around 3:45 PM when we were there. Normally the manager comes by today we did not see her even when I could eat the shrimp. I am sure they won't miss our business but if I was that manager I would come out every time there was a problem. I was about to get you and ask for someone to come over when Miya came over. We ordered drinks and it did at the same time. My husband asked for catsup and ranch dressing. When they brought the food, it came to us in stages. After the entire meal was served, my husband asked again for catsup and ranch. Erin the manager was helping out with the service and had the nerve to say to us, "would you any other condiments to ruin your food with?" How RUDE and unprofessional. If my husband wants catsup and ranch for his fries and we are paying for the lousy service and the meal, then who the hell is she to make this remark?? We didn't ask for steak sauce, so we weren't covering the steaks, and it's not any of her business anyway. It's our money and if we want to ask for extra anything, we should be able to get it without snarky remarks. The food was very good, but it was hard to enjoy after her remark. We will return again because we love Outback, but not to this location until she has been replaced. Erin's remark set us off of our food and truly displayed what a jerk she is. Way to go on customer satisfaction. I would love to hear from upper management on why you let your managers get away with this rude and unprofessional behavior. Very very very disappointed.
