Here's the problem I have with Eggington's. I'm allergic to wheat and they have too many items that aren't usually made with wheat (tamales, salsa, etc....) They did cooperate in trying to find me things I could eat, and I got a dish that was quite good. But somehow I still managed to eat some wheat with the food - I suspect it was a seasoning they used on the red potatoes. If the rest of the food is as tasty as what I had you probably wouldn't be disappointed here - unless you're allergic to something.... or unless you're really hungry - the portion was rather small. Make sure you set aside some time to eat here. We waited for about 15 minutes for a table (which is understandable) but once we ordered we waited for another 45. A delightful restaurant nestled in the heart of downtown Casper. We were seated immediately even though they were clearly busy. Our waitress was very friendly and after placing my order of the breakfast tamales, she proclaimed they were the best on the menu. She was not wrong. Tamales served in their husks with eggs, green chili, beans and pepper jack cheese blanketing the meal. I was a little apprehensive with all the ingredients but together they made the most delicious breakfast meal I have had! Breakfast potatoes also came with my dish. They were seasoned just perfectly...although I didn't eat much as I was too busy trying to make a dent in my tamale dish. Egginton's is one of Casper's true gems for breakfast and lunch. The brick interior with mostly booths makes for a nice place for a business lunch or family breakfast. It does get a little loud when packed. As a long time patron, I've tried just about everything on the menu. All meals are created with great success and the flavor and portion sizes do not disappoint. From the fresh squeezed juice, to all there omelets, frittatas, and baked goodies. My favorites are the breakfast tamales with eggs and green chili or the pecan French toast. For like lunch the burgers with onion rings are great and there soups are all good. Pepper cheese is the best in town. Service is always good and prompt. The owners are always present and involved which I find amazing. You sometimes have to wait for a table, but well worth it. I hear the mimosas are excellent, but I can't say as I don't drink before lunch unless fishing. Highly Recommended. read more

This was by far our best 'spur of the moment pick'! We were passing through Casper and stopped for gas. Pulled up yelp looking for a breakfast place and this place popped up. Didn't have too long of a wait for a Saturday. Mel was our waitress and she was fantastic! Took care to ensure my dairy allergy was addressed and followed which is rare for restaurants sometimes. I quite enjoyed my breakfast this morning at Eggington's. I am in Casper for business and needed some place to go for breakfast - of course my first inclination is to check out the reviews on Yelp and this one had some great ones. I ordered the Huevos Eggington's (their take on Huevos Rancheros obviously) and was not disappointed. The eggs were set atop the refried beans and then hidden beneath mounds of cheese and meat. It was a delicious mess. The only thing I was less enthused about were the cheesy hashbrowns. I LOVE hashbrowns, especially when they are cooked down and crispy. These were definitely not. They were cooked in a large patty form and the edges were great, but the inside seemed undone. And after I was told how GREAT they were by the waitress. Overall, service and food were wonderful. But maybe try the red potatoes instead of the hashbrowns if you check this place out. read more

I had the grilled panini spicy chicken and loved it. Plenty of chicken, gooey cheese, tomato and crispy grilled panini bread. The home made potato chips were thick and crispy but had been cooked previously and lacked that super crisp taste I love about home cooked chips. Service was attentive, efficient and friendly. The menu is huge and would accommodate all sorts of folks. It's right in the little downtown area, but I scored a parking spot right across the street. Great casual family place. Let me start by saying that my trip was tough to review. Service was great, atmosphere was good, OJ was pricy but good, food on the other hand... I ordered the chili rellano breakfaat, a chili rellano stuffed with jack, sitting on refried beans and covered in chili verde, with two eggs on top. It also includes breakfast potatoes. Beans were good, chili verde was good, the chili rellano, about my favorite thing to have for breakfast, a thing that should have been golden brown...well it was somewhere past the color of chocolate ice cream and had a slightly burnt taste. It was like they either forgot about it, or it was premade and reheated in a fryer, maybe more than once. If not for the verde and beans, it would have been inedible. I never did actually taste the rellano at all, it was nothing more than overcooked filler. The potatoes, I'll admit I'm not a fan of them. What I do know is what a potato that's sat on the heat a little too long looks like as they lose moisture. One or two bites and I was done with them. In summary, great service, great but $$ OJ, great chili verde and beans, but avoid the chili rellano. Let it suffice to say it did not stay with me long. read more

I'm a big fan of this place go there every Sunday food is superb this is Breakfast/Lunch/Brunch place opens at 6:00 am closes at 2:00 pm staff really nice every now and then you can see the manager walking around and saying Hi making sure you are satisfied splendid, as I said before food (especially breakfast) is excellent real natural orange juice, and overall quality of the ingredients, preparation waiting time is just the way it supposed to be. On a recent trip to Casper for the day with 4 of my kids (ages 19 - 11) we were all pretty hungry by the time we got there. We found Eggington's in downtown Casper at about 1:30 in the afternoon. We all had snacks in the car but no real breakfast so everyone was pretty excited to have some real food. I was a little worried when I noticed that the restaurant closes at 2:00 but went ahead inside and asked if we still had time. The hostess kindly assured me that they still sat guests until 2:00. Whew! The decor was decent. Nothing to write home about. Big spacious dining rooms with oak tables and booths, cozy paint, clean, some pictures on the wall. It reminded me of home I guess. Our waitress was right over and filled our glasses with water and asked if we wanted to order beverages. I said we would just order water. She seemed cool with that, despite my 13 year old rolling his eyes at me. My 19 year old son ordered a Hawaiian sandwich of some sort with homemade chips. - Verdict: Very good! Chips were really nice and crispy too! My 13 year old son ordered a bowl of mixed berry oatmeal which came with toast. The oatmeal came to the table with crispy granola around the sides and a generous serving of cooked warm berries (looked like raspberries, blackberries, blueberries). - Verdict: Superb. I even tasted a bite and found it delicious. I would order that myself next time. My 11 year old son and 11 year old daughter (twins) ordered eggs, sausage, toast. Nothing too fancy. One had their eggs scrambled and one had over easy. Both egg dishes were served perfectly as ordered. There was a large basket in the middle of the table with various Smucker's brand jellies, honey and peanut butter and the twins had a hard time deciding which to put on their toast. But they figured it out. Oh and their sausage...superb! Very very good. Luckily my daughter passed one of her sausages off to me. - Verdict: well made, kids ate it. What more could a mom ask for? As for myself I ordered a French Dip sandwich with sweet potato fries. The sandwich itself was great, the perfect ratio of meat to bread to cheese with au jus for dipping. I did find the au jus a tad on the salty side and lacking any real flavor other than salt. Cutting back on the salt and maybe adding some thyme would make it perfect. The bread was soft yet had a slightly crisp crust. Very nice. Sweet potato fries were good. Not spectacular but decent. The best part of the meal was when the ticket came - Under $40 to feed all 5 of us is a great deal! This was way better food than fast food at a wonderful price. I am sure it would have been over $40 had we ordered soft drinks but we all were OK with water (except the 13 year old...but he lived). This allowed me to treat my kids later in our day in Casper to an ice cream cone. We will make sure to put Eggington's on our list of must go to restaurants whenever we are in Casper. read more

There were some nice little twists to the breakfast menu. I was excited about ordering a chile relleno with an egg on top and home fries for breakfast. It had a very crunchy, thick batter and needed a pepper with more girth to balance things out. It would have been awesome, but unfortunately there was only a small trace of probably Anaheim Pepper in it. If your from out of town, just get something that they know how to make. My machicatto ended up as a heavily sweetened shot of expresso (I hope) soaked in warm milk and sugar. The Greek eggs Benedict was ok. The feta cheese didn't pair well with the holindase sauce and the artichokes gave the dish a sour taste. I don't believe they are fresh which I believe is the problem. The cheesy hash was ok, if that is your thing but it was very heavy-almost needlessly. As stated before the service here is good but really slow, especially while waiting for the check. read more

On a Saturday morning, we tried to have breakfast at another restaurant in Casper, only to find it closed on the weekend (WTF?). However, Eggingtons was closeby, and boy are we glad the other place was closed. While extremely busy, it wasn't an overly long wait to be seated. The decor is French country in one room, and modern art in the other - both of which are pleasant. The menu has just about anything you could want. Our breakfasts were very good, as were the baked goodies that we took with us for later. The staff dealt very efficiently with an intoxicated customer, avoiding a potentially bad scene.
