I do not know what ingredients on this precious earth that they use to season the eggs with here but I NEED to know! Egg Tuck literally has the best scrambled eggs that I have ever tasted!! They are perfectly cooked and seasoned! I wish that I could make them taste this good at home. My friends at work ordered from here and I was blown away!!! Everyone on my team tried the food and everyone was impressed. I have always loved tater tots and even those are seasoned to perfection! The only reason I'm knocking off a star is because my tater tots were a little undercooked but overall I love the food here and will for sure will be ordering again!

Love the concept, big fan of the flavors, definitely worth a trip if you are in chicago. The egg sandwiches are out of this world

Kim J.

It was a 20 minute wait. But so very worth it! The eggs are fluffy, bacon is crispy, and the bread is magnificent. It's like a party in my mouth.

Anna J.

I have had egg slut and I enjoyed it but Egg Tuck? hmm hope we get one in ATL soon! My beef with this place was the wait time.. 40 minutes for a fast casual restaurant to get me an egg sandwich? Idk about all that but luckily we had budgeted time. Not to mention this is a tiny location and people who aren't eating sit in the tables..... I digress. Either way the sandwich itself is delicious. I got the avocado and added bacon and shared some tater tots with friends. Delicious sandwich with lots of sauce and its very rich but very good. Tots were also seasoned well. I wouldn't recommend the drinks here, so stick to the food because its great!

Vincent M.

Honestly so so so yummy! I'm a big Japanese sando guy - these didn't feel fluffy like those but were definitely super brioche'd and buttery. The avocado egg was wayyy better than the original royal west. Also the coffee/drinks here kinda sucks - got the biscoff one and it just tasted like watered down coffee. We came in the late morning - it was crowded so would recommend ordering online. Good amount of indoor seating though.

Eva L.

Ordered the food online, which I definitely recommend! There was a line to order when I got there but I was able to pick up my order right away. The sandwich was delicious. I would pass on the tater tots but it came with the meal. The coffee was good and I would reorder!

Sandra K.

A fun casual Korean breakfast sandwich spot. My favorite is the breakfast sandwich with avocado. Tip: ask for the sauce on the side if you're not a saucy person. The honey lemonade is the best in town! Only $4. Great casual filling breakfast spot but don't expect an ambience!

Everett L.

Really tasty and fluffy egg sandwich. So much flavor in one bite. Bread is toasted to perfection.

Tom T.

This review is primarily for people from out of town, as the locals are already fully briefed on the magnificence of this place (meaning: it can get crowded). Now let me tell you about arguably the best breakfast burrito I have ever eaten: The Royal Burrito. The Royal Burrito at The Loop seems to be a little different than the one listed on Egg Tuck's website, so I just wanted to alert you to that. Specifically, at The Loop's Egg Tuck, they use Korean Beef instead of the "Signature Beef Patty." While I cannot vouch for the latter, I can tell you that the former is absolutely amazing!!! The tortilla they use is also solid enough to hold the contents of the burrito until the last bite, which is a rarity nowadays as more and more places skimp on solid products. This place is amazing, and I'm sure they'll start franchising to more places than LA, so stay tuned and see if one turns up in your neck of the woods. Until then, I guess you'll just have to eat here.

Maya J.

Walked past and got pulled in by the branding, the marketing is cute and the fluffy egg imagery does its job. Decided to pop in and give it a try. The ordering process is straightforward: simple menu&kiosk ordering. But would have been nice to have someone help walk us through the options. We went with the avocado toast and the ham toast. Overall? Good, but not mind-blowing. If you're an egg lover looking for something light and satisfying, you'll enjoy it. It's not really trying to be more than what it is, and there's something to appreciate about that. Personally, the sauces were a bit heavy for my taste, but the chilis on the side were a nice touch and added just the right kick to balance things out. Would I go out of my way to come back? Probably not. But if you're nearby and want a solid, no-frills egg situation, it delivers.

Eric S.

I was in downtown Chicago and looking for a quick breakfast before taking off for the airport. This is an order at the kiosk and they bring your food out situation. They do have some seating but it look like most people were getting it to go and they have a very healthy DoorDash/GrubHub business. I think you can also order ahead online for pick up. The place appeared relatively clean. I ordered at the kiosk. The order took 15 minutes. I ordered a breakfast burrito with bacon and cheese, but no aïoli. It's diameter is about the thickness of a half liter bottle of water and it slightly shorter than a half liter bottle of water. I attached a couple of photos. The breakfast burrito tasted okay but lacked texture. It was mush on mush. The tater tots were soft, and the bacon was not crispy. I think the overall experience would be better IF the tater tots and bacon were crispy and offered a textural contrast. Overall, would I go back? I wouldn't go out of my way to grab a bite here but I wouldn't feel terribly upset if I ate here either (say, some friends or coworkers wanted to hit this place up, I wouldn't say no). To quote my teen, this experience was "mid."

Martika J.

I always wanted to try this establishment and I finally was able to. It's self-service so you place your order on a kiosk. I will say, the particular day I went, the wait time was 15-20 minutes plus. The staff did announce the wait time so you wasn't caught by surprise. We had the Avo Egg, Royal Sandwich, and tots. All cooked to protection!

celina t.

We went to try Egg Tuck for breakfast and their value deals are pretty good! You get a sandwich, drink, and side of hashbrowns for around 12-15. I got the egg burrito and I liked it. I did ask for sauces to be on the side and I was not given any sauces. The tater tots were perfect crisp! Service was fast. The restaurant itself had a lot of seating in the back.

Honestly I'm shocked there isn't a line outside for this place. The food is special in a way that it's something you would crave after having it once. It's unique and delicious. I bought sandwiches for a group of people and everyone was like... omG. I let the baby try a bite and he too was a huge fan. Today I ordered the tater tots too and they were good especially with the over medium egg on top and the special sauce. Also everyone I've encountered working there has been very sweet and helpful and order is always quick read more

10/10!! The eggs are soft and fluffy. The sauce is delicious and the bread was so buttery, once i added ranch and the Sriracha sauce it made it even better!! I asked for the eggs to be cooked a little dryer and it was still a 10/10. The employees were so kind and understanding. read more

I had high hopes for the sandwich but was highly disappointed. The eggs were fluffy but were very ordinary and I had to add salt to them! The sandwich overall was extremely underwhelming, I do have to add I had only the egg sandwich but added cheddar cheese. The wait was also crazy long around 30 minutes for one sandwich. They also kept playing the same songs over and over again. There was plenty of seating. Hope they're able to improve!! read more

**Restaurant Review: Exceptional Cuisine with Opportunities for Service Enhancement** The gastronomic offerings at this establishment are nothing short of extraordinary. Each dish showcases a masterful balance of flavors, impeccable freshness of ingredients, and an evident dedication to culinary artistry. The prowess and passion of the kitchen staff are palpable in every bite, rendering the dining experience here truly sublime. However, there exists a discernible need for advancement in the realm of customer service. During my recent visit, I encountered significant challenges when attempting to engage with staff regarding modifications to my order. Specifically, inquiries about adding extra bacon and other customizations were met with resistance and misinterpretation. This resulted in an unwarranted confrontation, which could have been mitigated through more effective communication strategies. To foster an environment of inclusivity and superior service, it is imperative that the staff undergo comprehensive training in customer interaction, particularly in accommodating the needs of all patrons, irrespective of background or demographic. Enhanced clarity and a hospitable demeanor in these interactions can profoundly impact the overall customer experience. Addressing these areas of concern will not only augment guest satisfaction but also elevate the establishment's esteemed reputation. I remain optimistic about the potential for growth and improvement within this restaurant. By refining their service protocols to match the high caliber of their culinary offerings, they are poised to achieve unparalleled excellence. It is my sincere hope that the management will embrace this constructive feedback, thereby ensuring that their service is as distinguished as their cuisine. read more

I had an appointment in the Loop today and decided to try out Egg Tuck for a late breakfast. Ordering here is straightforward with self-serve kiosks, which I found super convenient especially as a first-timer. You can take your time exploring the menu without feeling rushed, which is a nice touch. I hate feeling rushed and reading a small menu while a cashier is patiently waiting on me haha. I went with the egg, bacon, and cheese sandwich, plus a side of tater tots. The dining room is surprisingly spacious, with plenty of seating options in the back, so it's perfect if you want to sit down and enjoy your meal. As for the food, the sandwich was amazing! The eggs were deliciously runny, and the brioche bun was soft and flavorful. The aioli added a great touch of flavor, though fair warning, it's a bit messy--definitely a meal to enjoy quickly. The tater tots were delicious with the spicy aioli on the side, but a little on the heavy side, so keep that in mind if you have plans afterward. I headed to the gym right afterwards to lift and was definitely feeling it! Overall, Egg Tuck is a fantastic spot for a quick, casual breakfast. If you're looking for something a little lighter, I'd suggest sticking to the sandwich alone, but either way, it's worth the stop! read more

From the moment we walked up to EggTuck, I wasn't sure what to expect...but WOW, was I blown away! We came to Chicago with the goal of trying new and exciting foods, and this spot delivered beyond our expectations. It was also super quick! Let's talk about the sandwiches... absolute perfection. The bread was incredibly soft and fluffy, almost like a dreamier version of Texas toast, with just the right amount of buttery crispness on the edges. The eggs? Silky, moist, and cloud-like, layered beautifully with the perfect balance of flavors. And the sauces? Next-level! They add just the right amount of heat and richness to make each bite even more irresistible. Everything about this meal felt carefully crafted, from the textures to the flavors. It's the kind of breakfast that sticks with you in the best way: comforting, satisfying, and crave-worthy. If you're in Chicago, do yourself a favor and make a stop here. You won't regret it! read more

During a recent trip to Chicago, I had the pleasure of stopping by Egg Tuck for breakfast, conveniently located near my hotel. I ordered their avocado, bacon, and cheese sandwich with creamy eggs, and it was an absolute delight. The eggs were perfectly cooked, rich, and creamy, complementing the fresh avocado and crispy bacon wonderfully. However, the cheese on my sandwich was not melted, and I had to return it for a new one. I also ordered a freshly squeezed orange juice, but it tasted like the one from the jug. Having previously tried a similar sandwich at a popular spot in Los Angeles, I can confidently say that Egg Truck surpassed my expectations. The combination of high-quality ingredients and the expert preparation made it a standout meal that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Chicago. read more

I was really disappointed with the customer service I experienced yesterday. I ordered the avocado egg tuck and even paid an extra $2 for the avocado and cheese. When my order arrived, it was just a plain egg with bread, no avocado or cheese at all. I showed the waitress the mistake, and to my surprise, she responded, "How do I know you haven't eaten the avocado?" I never expected such rudeness, especially without an apology for the error. While my friends and I enjoyed the taste of the food, we were left feeling frustrated by the accusatory attitude. I hope you can improve your service to be more polite and hospitable in the future. read more

I stopped by Egg Tuck on my way home this past week and got the bacon & cheese sandwich. The total time it took for me to place an order using the kiosk and getting the sandwich was about 10 minutes. The sandwich was carefully wrapped and came in a holder to make the eating process less messy. I was honestly blown away by how delicious it was. I loved the fluffy texture of the eggs and the flavors of the bacon, aioli, and cheddar cheese. Everything melted in my mouth, and I was sad to take the last bite. I would definitely recommend Egg Tuck to anyone who's looking for a quick but delicious breakfast sandwich. read more

Egg Tuck on Michigan Ave is a game-changer for breakfast in the Loop. I tried the Bacon & Cheese sandwich--scrambled eggs so fluffy they practically melt in your mouth, crispy bacon, cheddar, and that house-made egg sauce all tucked into a buttery brioche bun. It was a bit messy, but totally worth it. I also grabbed a side of Fluffy Egg Tots--crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and seasoned just right. The staff was friendly, and the vibe inside is clean and modern, with a cool mural that makes for a great photo op. We stopped there to takeout sandwich for breakfast. The Egg Tuck sandwich is hands down one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. The eggs were perfectly scrambled soft and creamy, not dry at all and the sandwich was stacked with all the right ingredients. The bacon was crispy without being overdone, and the avocado added the perfect creamy texture. The tuck bread was warm and slightly toasted, making every bite feel like a little piece of heaven. It's filling but not overly heavy, so I felt satisfied without feeling stuffed. The service was really good and prompt. read more

I visited Egg Tuck after their sandwiches went viral online and I was not disappointed. Something so simple was beautifully made and the taste is out of this world. My only issue is the cost of their products. The menu is small and all items are pricy. While I waited, I was given my drink. It took around 10 or 15 minutes for my sandwich to be ready, but I prefer that it was made after ordering. The atmosphere was so comfortable and I enjoyed sitting in the restaurant to have my meal. read more

I waited in line for about 25 minutes at Egg Tuck in Chicago, and it was totally worth it. I had the avocado egg sandwich and their fluffy tots --both were delicious and lived up to the hype. The eggs were perfectly soft and fluffy, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. Despite the line, the staff kept things moving smoothly, and the food came out hot and well-made. I was really looking forward to trying Egg Tuck after hearing some good things, but unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. We ended up waiting an hour just for a single sandwich. To make matters more frustrating, several customers who ordered after us received their meals well before we did. This lack of order and efficiency really put a damper on our meal and overall experience. I hope the restaurant can address these issues for future customers. read more

We chose a table inside but the outside area is beautiful if you want to enjoy the Chicago summer. Our server arrived quickly and was very friendly. The kitchen was so fast it felt like she took our order, walked back to the kitchen, and returned with our meals. Their standard egg breakfasts come with a stack of pancakes - you can pay a little more to upgrade to one of the fun flavors, so we chose blueberry. The portions were so massive I ended up ordering two side dishes for my breakfast, and I still couldn't finish it all. The blueberry pancakes were filled with fresh blueberries and SO good, the egg scramble with feta was delicious, and the home fries were pretty good. Our server asked if I wanted them crispy. I said no, but I should have said yes. They were a little soft - still delicious - but you can tell they'd be even better with a bit of a crispy edge. The prices may seem a little high, but when you see how much food you get for the price, you'll realize what a deal it is. Each meal could easily feed two people! Our food finally came about 20 minutes after that, meaning we waited almost an hour for a basic breakfast in a restaurant that wasn't even busy. After all that, the food wasn't worth the wait. The omelette was basically scrambled eggs, the toast was burnt, and everything was extremely overpriced for the quality. What was most disappointing was that despite acknowledging they made a mistake and making us wait nearly an hour, nothing was taken off the bill and there was no real attempt to make it right.
