I debated on posting this bc I actually like the owner and don't want to cause them any issues but the more I think about it the more it sickens me. Yesterday I witnessed one of the grossest things I ever seen in regards to restaurant employee cleanliness locally. My husband and I came to town to get dinner - Chinese to be exact . We dined in and took a seat as normal. When we first entered I noticed they had a black trash bag on one of the tables filling small bags with noodles ( for soup) . As they did this they went back & forth from waiting on customers to bagging more noodle without hand washing or wearing gloves . Next the very young ( not out of school yet boy) was filling bag coughing into them, rubbing his nose and coughing on his hands. It made it even worse that each bag he made he put his fingers inside the bag breaking up the noodles. After watching this happen about 7 times I ask for a to go box and told my husband we was leaving . Yes the food was disposed of and I will never return again. I can't really recommend this place. they serve your standard american-style, dime a dozen chinese food but yet it is still worse than almost any Chinese place I've ever ate at. The General Tso's sauce is always like some kind of jello, very gelatinous. Hardly any flavor at all. More breading than meat. Food always has a slightly burned flavor, but it is not burned so you know it's from the uncleaned grill/pans they use. The woman that takes orders has the enthusiasm of a wet rug and often times will just start talking to someone in the back in Chinese while in the middle of taking the order. I got to the point where I was only ordering shrimp lo-mein as that was the only thing I could trust to be (1) the meat they say it is and (2) have a consistent flavor. However they must have changed something with that now as well because the last two times I ate there it was very bland and watery with little ingredients aside from noodles and a few tiny salad shrimp. I'm done with this place. I ate here for one reason, it was close and one of the only restaurants around. If I really want Chinese food I'll just take a drive because there are much better places to get it. read more

I would give this a 0 star if I could. First of all, if you're going to call yourself an Egg Roll Queen, your egg rolls should be phenomenal. I have been dying to try this place because I LOVE egg rolls. I called ahead to place my order for pick up. 4 egg rolls and pork fried rice, was told it would be about 25 minutes which I thought was unusual, but who knows maybe they were busy. I arrived to egg roll Queen and walked up to the window to pick up my order and called the number for pick up and realized that the food was coming from Egg Roll King which is 18 miles away. WHO WANTS FOOD THAT IS DELIVERED FROM 18 MILES AWAY ????? Why would you not tell your customers that it was coming from a different restaurant??? Don't even get me started on the disgusting, bland, CARDBOARD tasting egg rolls that were given to me. Like I said in the beginning of my review, if you're going to call yourself egg roll king and Queen, the egg rolls better be DAMN good. I am extremely disappointed and will never return. Where to start? Well, the food is basic Ameri-asian cuisine. House fried, general tso encrusted whatever. Giant fake paintings on the wall? Check. Asian screaming coming from the kitchen? Double check. Think I'm being watched in the bathroom? I won't go there. This place isn't special. Not even the "specials" on the menu are special. After eating "chicken" sliced so thin it had the consistency of pig ear, I refuse to eat nearly anything here. You could do worse though. You might confuse some motor oil at NAPA for a steak. They have a great selection. The prices are reasonable. The portions are large. The employees are friendly. They remember our usual order, even though we live too far away to regularly go there. Always pretty good food considering the local options available. Usually always hot, store could be a little cleaner but is suitable I guess. Depending on the time of day and traffic flow they can be a little slow so be prepared to wait cause this is sometimes the case. read more

Great little restaurant! We eat here at least once a week. Egg rolls are delish, wonton soup is very tasty. Love their teriyaki chicken, shrimp w/lobster sauce and pineapple chicken. Stopped in for lunch at 12:30....turns out it was the cooks lunch time as well as the two cooks came out with their lunches of what looked like egg drop soup and joined me in the dinning room. (I was the only customer) the girl that took my order with so little enthusiasm I thought maybe she was upset I interrupted her lunch as well. It was very awkward with the cooks slurping their lunch (I know it may be the custom but I was grossed out by it) and of course the conversation was loud and in in Chinese. I had the steamed dumplings, not much to write home about, and the cashew chicken. The chicken was sliced very thin and looked gross, kind of like chicken skin. Overall it had no flavor. Tables were not very clean, restroom was the standard filthy. I had eaten here once before but I will refresh my memory to travel on to somewhere else next time. What has happened to this place? I have been there many times before and it's always been fine. Yesterday I ordered one of my usuals takeouts, Orange Chicken with fried rice. After the first two bites I thought "Where's the chicken?" It was just a mass of cooked coating. I tore the rest of the pieces apart in search of meat and all I found was one very small piece of stringy white something. Plus there was very little orange flavor and and only a few tiny little pieces of orange, not the slices of orange I'm used to. Even the fried rice was a disappointment - very skimpy on the soy/vegetable/egg that makes fried rice so yummy. Overall it was a bland disappointment. A few bites and the rest went in the trash. If it wasn't a 30 minute drive I would have taken it back for a refund. I may go back and give them one more try because they used to be ok, but I won't be ordering anything coated. read more
