Closed during COVID, but sister store Egg Roll King will prepare and deliver your order to your home or the Queen location. Problem is the King isn't as good as the Queen. (Pre COVID review) This restaurant could be a five star with small changes that would make a huge difference. For example the crispy soup noodles and egg rolls appear and taste baked rather than fried. Not good. Wonton soup - the best wontons in the area. They are made with the thick skins and a delightful filling. The soup broth is somewhat boring. This soup would be greatly improved by adding bok choy as I did (see picture). Many dishes are missing and they need water chestnuts. Mushrooms- are awful. I think they are reconstituted and dishes would be much better with canned mushrooms. House crispy soup noodles and egg rolls appear and taste baked. Both should be fried. House duck sauce- tastes like they opened packages into a bowl. They need to get the dark duck sauce found in all decent NY Chinese restaurants. These little changes could take this restaurant over the top. Sesame Oil- I don't think they use it and this could be a reason many of the dishes fall flat. This should be a staple in any Chinese restaurant. Chow fun/Ho Fun and Mei Fun suffer here from lack of sesame oil. Queens rice noodles stick together and this is easily solved by drizzling sesame oil over the dish once cooked. Their noodles are overcooked making the dish mushy. You can pick up the entire serving on one fork. Try to make this at home. It's easy and delicious! 12 oz. fresh wide rice noodles 3 tablespoons vegetable oil 4 scallions (split in half vertically and cut into 3-inch pieces) 3 thin slices ginger 2 tablespoons Shaoxing wine 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil 2 teaspoons dark soy sauce 2 tablespoons regular soy sauce 1/8 teaspoon sugar salt and white pepper (to taste) 4 to 6 ounces fresh mung bean sprouts Drizzle with sesame oil once cooked. read more

I would give this a 0 star if I could. First of all, if you're going to call yourself an Egg Roll Queen, your egg rolls should be phenomenal. I have been dying to try this place because I LOVE egg rolls. I called ahead to place my order for pick up. 4 egg rolls and pork fried rice, was told it would be about 25 minutes which I thought was unusual, but who knows maybe they were busy. I arrived to egg roll Queen and walked up to the window to pick up my order and called the number for pick up and realized that the food was coming from Egg Roll King which is 18 miles away. WHO WANTS FOOD THAT IS DELIVERED FROM 18 MILES AWAY ????? Why would you not tell your customers that it was coming from a different restaurant??? Don't even get me started on the disgusting, bland, CARDBOARD tasting egg rolls that were given to me. Like I said in the beginning of my review, if you're going to call yourself egg roll king and Queen, the egg rolls better be DAMN good. I am extremely disappointed and will never return. This would have saved me several trips into Chambersburg to satisfy my cravings for an egg roll and a bowl of hot and sour soup. Egg Roll Queen features all of the foods that are expected from an Americanized Chinese restaurant. General Tso's Chicken, wonton soup, shrimp fried rice, crab rangoons, and egg rolls(obviously) can all be found amongst the large variety of selections on the menu. Lunch Specials start at just $4.55 and dinner specials at $6.55. Great prices for a large amount of food! But come on, none of this is news to those who frequent Chinese cuisine. What makes Egg Roll Queen stand out is it's dine in setting. From the outside you would think the restaurant is a dive, but inside it is quite lovely. Classy decor, comfortable booths, and great service are what can be found behind the rugged exterior. The food is excellent; always hot, and always delicious. Saint Thomas needed this addition to our limited dining options! Deceiving but surprise inside ! The exterior in no way reflects the very nice and comfortable interior. The menu selections are many and the lunch offering are comprised of many combination offerings. The Mrs had Pork Lo Mien and I had chicken chow mien. Service was prompt, food delivered piping hot and was very flavorful and fulfilling. Was our fist visit here and had expected to walk into an open expanse with menu selections on the wall. We were faced with comfortable booths in a clean and comfortable environment. Based on the quality of the lunch we will be visiting again next time we head out for St. Thomas. I called in an order last night for pick up was told 25 to 30 minutes. When I got to the restaurant there's a note on the door saying to call when arrived. I called and said that I was there for my order, I was then told they were running behind and it would be another 15 to 20 minutes, I wasn't thrilled but ok fine. Well almost 30 minutes go by and a car pulls into the restaurants parking lot, there are by then 3 other cars waiting. Here its the guy delivering our food going car to car in the parking lot! Ok I thought they were in cooking it at the restaurant which was locked but she neon sign said open! Soo apparently they're not cooking the food there, so where then? At this point I'm already late to where I was going I gave the guy cash and a tip and left. Well this morning I look at my receipt and I was charged a delivery fee! Wth.... I went to pick it up! This is an actual Chinese restaurant, and not just a small carry-out place. I like having the option of eating in, picking up, or delivery. I always judge a Chinese restaurant based on the Crab Rangoon: it is not the best I have ever had, but it is very good. This is what I call you cannot judge a book simply by its cover. The outside may look unappealing, but the inside is just... Fancy to say the least. I have never expected to see this when I walked in. I drove here simply because I was tired that night and I thought: why not give it a try? The employees were really nice and we had a nice long conversation, she kept me entertained during the ten minute waiting time. I have stopped here a few times and the food & prices were OK, BUT when I stopped at Egg Roll Queen today I have to say I was VERY disappointed from the minute I walked in the door and seen staff actually sitting in the dining room preparing food. As I walked back to the restroom it appeared that they were making egg rolls and also wontons the supplies were lying on the table....veggies & seafood (shrimp) and NOTHING was on ice as they prepared it especially the shrimp. I have to say that the bathrooms are another story.....very dirty it appeared that the walls and door had not been wiped down in years plus there were NO paper towels nor toilet paper and trash can was over flowing, thank goodness I only had to use urinal. When I entered the restaurant I had only ordered a small chicken fried rice and needless to say I paid for my order but when I got home it went into the trash, when I seen how unsafe they prepared the wontons and egg rolls I was not taking a chance eating it.
