I asked if they had real maple syrup and I could tel he seemed confused but he said yes. Since he seemed confused I said real maple not like log cabin and he said absolutely yes our maple syrup is real. I was skeptical but ordered French toast which I ate dry because the syrup was obviously a corn syrup concoction that I can't/won't eat. To be fair, the French toast wasn't bad and I would've enjoyed it with maple pretty well. My husband said his food was fair. The coffee was fair at best. My husband and I went for a late breakfast on Wednesday. We had never been there before but read some good reviews and wanted to give it a try. It was not super crowded so we got seated right away. Our waitress, Donna was super helpful and friendly. We both had questions and asked for guidance. Donna was able to navigate us around our option dilemmas and was spot on in the final decisions. If you get a chance to try the red velvet waffles, DO IT! When I asked Donna if I could tell her manager how awesome she was, she very humbly admitted that Egg Haven was in fact her place. Wanted to try something different and picked this spot. Being as it was Mother's Day I expected a wait however, we were seated right away. There was no social distancing whatsoever. Majority of the staff were wearing masks incorrectly (it seems no one knows what their nose is anymore, might as well not wear one if you're going to wear it incorrectly). The restaurant was freezing inside. We did ask them to turn the fans down, which they did. The food took forever, it seemed once we were seated, we were forgotten (no coffee warm ups until the food came). Again, trying to be understanding as it is a busy day. It seem however that they had plenty of staff to compensate. The food was average at best. Will probably just stick with Wood & Grain or First Watch. read more

Decided to try this place early in the morning for breakfast. Not too busy. Was able to sit right in. Like the ambiance. Waiter was attentive. Super nice. Spoke clearly and at a high volume, which is always nice. So you don't have to say "huh" often or have then repeat. I ordered this awesome little parfait. Had no clue how it was going to look like. I was impressed by it. Looked fancy. We ordered juice. Coffee. Individual plates. Came to about $28ish dollars. With tip. You can look forward to spent a little over $30. We`ve eaten here and it was great! The breakfast was just as hot as the coffee, and was awesome. As soon as we arrived at the location and walked in the door. The staff greeted us with warm welcome and seated us right away. They will go out of their way to try and make anything they have on the menu the way you want it. The only way to get verification of how great it is. Is to go there yourself and try it. We live over 50 miles away and will make the trip again and again to return. We had such high hopes for this place based on the good reviews. Plus, we were super excited that it had gluten free pancakes for our son and was just right down the road from our house. Unfortunately, though the pancakes were pretty decent the rest of the food was almost inedible. I got the "avocado toast" which they describe as having fresh avocado, lemon juice, and olive oil. But what came out was an over done piece of toast with an unappetizing olive green blob of guacamole (see photo). I sent it back and got the vegetable skillet and while it was better, most of the veggies in it were still raw, the same as in my spouse's omelette. Our kids eggs were also over cooked and had to be sent back as well. Overall it was not worth the $50 we spent and sadly we won't be returning. I will mention though that while our food wasn't great, our server was excellent and still took great care of us. read more

This is our first and last time dining here. We were sat and waited for over 15 mins for someone to take our drink orders. Our waiter was supposed to be a male caucasian who never acknowledged us. A caucasian couple came in and right after being sat at the table in front of us was immediately greeted by the male caucasian waiter and had their drinks brought to them. I got up and spoke out about not being waited on and was finally given someone to take our orders. A few mins later another caucasian family came in and again they were immediately greeted by the same waiter. Later a black couple came in and were sat at his tables, but he didn't acknowledge them either. They were served by a different waitress. To me no matter your beliefs, if your going to work as a server, you have to serve whomever comes to your establishment. The food itself was delicious and once we got our order in, it literally only took about 8 mins for us to get our food. It's a nice and cozy place to eat breakfast and lunch, but due to the treatmemt we experienced, we will not be going back. There are so many other places to choose from were we can get delicious food and good service without having to worry about what the color of our skin is. read more

A man answered the phone, I asked to speak to the manager, he asked if he could help, I asked if he was the manager, his response was and I quote "well a I guess I'm the manager today". Now to give his name would just be mean so I won't do that. I asked him what he would do to fix the problem, and he responded by telling me to come in and try them again. Now there are plenty of places to eat here in town, so what do you think I will do?... In the past, like most restaurants, I ordered from DoorDash. I ordered the migas, with no corn tortilla strips on the top, no sour cream, easy on the peppers, and I asked for a substitution of corn tortillas instead of flour tortillas. I received my order in a timely manner. Everything looked okay, except, I could immediately see corn tortilla strips on the top. Now, there was no sour cream, thanks. However, my migas was loaded with peppers, and I received flour tortillas instead of corn tortillas. They may not offer corn tortillas, but if it's a matter of economy, they should have kept their corn tortilla strips, and some of their peppers. I have read other reviews, from Google, and it appears the wait staff is rude. Now I don't have personal experience, as I have only been there once, and the woman that waited on me was very friendly. If you order off the menu, and don't have special requests, you may enjoy egg Haven Cafe. If you ask for something special, don't count on getting your order right. Overall the food was tasty, the salsa is good, I believe it's freshly made. The eggs were well done, but not burnt, which I thoroughly enjoy. So to summarize, they don't have a permanent manager apparently, they can't follow instructions, the food is pretty good. If you're a local, I would suggest trying brookside Cafe, or first watch.
