I see reviews here about noise complaints. You might be able to…read more 1: reduce/eliminate bass sent towards their neighborhood 2: improve your forward bass impact by using what's called a "gradient cardioid". Concerts use this to protect the performers while improving how much energy is focused at the audience. You basically set up two subwoofers in line and invert the rear sub. The front sub's rear wave heading towards that neighborhood is cancelled by the rear inverted sub. But, the forward wave from the rear sub reinforces the forward wave of the front sub. See pics. If you are unfamiliar, an audio engineer consultant could probably make modifications to your setup to make this work. win win

This business is a horrible neighbor to its surrounding neighborhoods. The uncontrolled level of…read morenoise they project and their refusal to address the matter because of their "zoning" requirements is harassing to those who live nearby (I live OVER TWO MILES away, yet can hear the music emanating from Pono Ranch). The facts: Seattle Municipal Code 25.08.501 -- Nightlife disturbance "It is unlawful for any person in possession of real property, other than residential property, to allow to originate from that property between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. amplified noise that is plainly audible to a person of normal hearing when measured inside a receiving dwelling unit." As someone who actively tries to support local businesses, I could never feel good about spending any money at Pono Ranch given its egregious disregard for the community. Be better. Better citizens, better business people and better human beings.

Update: Yelp continues to cause harm to this business by marking positive reviews as not…read morerecommended, just because they may not have many other reviews on their profile. I took the liberty to repost some of the reviews: Anon Y - 5 Stars: Joel and Amanda are terrific! We purchased Milou from them based on several personal recommendations. The proof is in their animals: well-adjusted, healthy and clearly loved. Joel and Amanda are extremely professional in their interactions: they communicate often and clearly across all media. The welfare of their animals is their primary concern: you must be a good fit for one of their dogs. Josh R - 5 Stars: My partner and I did extensive research to find a breeder for our first ever Australian shepherd. Amanda and Joel came up from our search and we were comforted to see all the raving reviews from their social media. This is quite rare to find when researching breeders as they usually only have a website with limited information, or require an email to reach out to. When you contact them you'll immediately notice how organized they are as they post daily on their social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook), and response in a reasonably fast time-frame. We had many questions going with an Australian Shepherd as our first dog and they never failed to answer with informative responses to ensure we knew what we were getting into. We have so much respect for this company, as you can tell they care deeply for all their animals, and families (WAR community). I've had the pleasure of getting to set up play dates with other Wandering Acres Ranch families. The process of obtaining our Blue Merle, Male was smooth, and the only downside of it was the temptation of wanting to adopt a pup from each new litter announcement. Not only do you get to be apart of the community that they have created over the years from other WAR families, but they also offer boarding services. This perk has been so great for our boy, and we feel at ease knowing he's in familiar hands. Literally a Disneyland for dogs! If we were to get another aussie in the future, it's a no brainer to go with Wandering Acres Ranch. These dogs are quality and well loved. If you're having doubts, my advice is to get in contact with them personally. You wont regret putting that deposit down, and honestly the hardest part was waiting for that email letting you know your new friend was coming home to you! Thomas H - 5 Stars: I have nothing but great things to say about Wandering Acres. They deeply care for their dogs and breed with great care. I have two of their dogs and they are truly wonderful. They're our 'Velcro' dogs, glued to the four of us, and come with us everywhere. I honestly have a hard time not adding a third! Rosario S - 5 Stars: Amanda and Joel are wonderful! They've helped us so much as first-time Aussie owners. We appreciate their guidance and support. Plus, we wouldn't have our wonderful pup, Daisy, without them! Michael B - 5 Stars: I would highly recommend Wondering Acres when searching for your Aussie. Wondering Acres' Joel and Amanda are an amazing breeders of gentle, sweet, and sociable Aussies, as evidenced by our three year old adventure buddy, Hamilton. When we began our search for our Aussie, we came across a number of breeders and "Aussie" groups that looked good on paper. As we spoke with them, there was a sense that, although they were good with their animals, they didn't demonstrate an atmosphere that their dogs were family members. This all changed when we came across Wandering Acres - Joel and Amanda. From the first contact with Amanda to the present, she and Joel have always been friendly and professional in their interactions with us, as well as a go to source for information and clarification on questions, or concerns when it comes to our Hamilton. And if we have to go out of the area and are unable to take our fur baby, we know he can always stay with Joel and Amanda, along with the other pups, while we are away. And while we are away, we get updates and pictures of how Hamilton is doing on the ranch. R.B - 5 Stars: Where do I start with just how much we LOVE Wandering Acres and their owners. They are truly the kindest, most caring people and their love for the dogs is like none other I've seen with breeders. They want the VERY best for each and every one of their dogs and will not settle for anything else. Their commitment to finding the right fit for each family and each dog is a commitment that shows their love for these dogs. We have two girls who are now 5 years old from Amanda and Joel and they have always been there if we ever have had a question or concern. They've been there when we were worried and always talked us through and given us great advice and suggestions for our girls. Amanda worked with us to choose a dog based on our lifestyle and desired temperament, and she chose perfectly. Macallan is one of the sweetest dogs, a lover to all, and always up for an adventure. We had asked for a dog that has the energy to backpack and hike for days but also likes a good relaxation day - and that's him in a nutshell. We even have had WAR watch Macallan when we go on vacation - and every time, when we pick him up, he's so happy and acts like he got his own adventurous vacation, too. Highly recommend working with WAR to see if their dogs are a good fit for your household and know that you'll have a great support network.
