Millie being really cute. Eating doggie ice cream while wearing her doggie hat.

Joel and Amanda are the best of the best in my mind when it comes to what kind, ethical, loving and passionate breeders should be like. The way they treated me and my husband validated our choice to go with them. They truly treated us like good friends, family even. They communicated clearly, made sure we had all the information we needed to feel secure in our decision, and the handoff was very welcoming, smooth and respectful. They are really great people, they're really passionate about the breed, heck they're passionate about other herding breeds too, and spend a lot of their personal time and resources rescuing less fortunate animals. I haven't hesitated to recommend them to friends and family, and I will be returning to them when I'm ready to add another Aussie into my home. PS. They have been there as a source of support for us. They don't just hand you a puppy and walk away, they're committed to their placements adjusting well and helping the new pawrents adjust to the needs of the puppy. This is my first Aussie and they helped me understand a lot of things I didn't know about the breed, and they continue to support me when I have questions.

I am beyond happy with my experience with Wandering Acres Ranch! They have gone above and beyond with answering all my questions. They have been super informative and have sent so many helpful links! Wandering Acres Ranch has been nothing but kind, respectful, and they are so caring. They love all their dogs and it is so apparent. I just got my first pup from them and I'm just so impressed with our sweet boy! He is beautiful, healthy, and soooooo smart ! if you are looking at getting an Australian Shepherd, I highly recommend Wandering Acres Ranch! You will not be disappointed!

Amanda and Joel are wonderful! They've helped us so much as first-time Aussie owners. We appreciate their guidance and support. Plus, we wouldn't have our wonderful pup, Daisy, without them!

Our girls...5 years old and we couldn't imagine life without them!

I chose Skagit River because their cattle is grass-fed and the business is certified humane. From their website: "At Skagit River Ranch, we have 3 principles we hold dear to our hearts: 1. Humane treatment of animals 2. Sustainable farming by being a good steward of the land 3. Certified Organic practices with no chemicals or pesticides" I appreciate their commitment and the woman who works the front counter on Saturdays (when you can come and pick up your order) is super nice. Everything I've ordered from them has been great, including the eggs. Highly recommend if you're looking to order in bulk to save money.

The benefits of grass-fed beef are enormous and worth the effort to get it. You can buy small portions or order in bulk, too. From their farm store (on Saturdays only) you can buy eggs, individual cuts of beef & pork, sausage, honey from their hives, and seasonal organic produce. I LOVE their short ribs. You can find their meat and eggs at various stores in Mount Vernon, Bellingham, Seattle, Mountlake Terrace, Federal Way, Tacoma, Kent and Enumclaw. And in 2010 at Farmers Markets in Seattle and the Eastside so I suspect selling at Seattle and Eastside Farmers Markets will continue!

So when I'm in Mountain Vernon, I have to stop by this place and have a scoop or a pint to go. The staff at the front is usually very friendly and courteous. They seem to hire teenagers or young adults and they are on top of it. The pricing is reasonable, the ingredients are fresh. First time ordering a burger here, I got the junior cheeseburger with onion rings and huckleberry milkshake. Milk shake came right out and yummy. The burger took a while. Recommended!

We were in town for the first time, and my husband was looking up dinner places. The name of this…read moreplace excited him so much that he decided to surprise me by not telling me where we were going. He could not be more hype about an average diner called 'Big Scoop'. The area has some parking spots, but when we arrived, all the parking spaces and all the tables were taken. They were quite busy for a Wednesday evening. When we arrived, we had no idea what to do. Do we sit ourselves? Do we wait to be seated? Do we place an order at the counter and then sit? There was no signage and no greeting to inform us. So we stood there, feeling silly and out of place, for a good few minutes, before one adult staff member approached the counter to punch an order into a computer and literally said to us, 'I don't have time to talk to customers right now, sorry.' Ooooookay we'll just keep standing here. Eventually, our waitress/savior Kate greeted us, sat us at a table, and gave us menus. She was younger, upbeat, kind, and apologetic for the confusion. We looked over the menu, and a third staff member came by to take our order. I ordered the Big Scoop cheeseburger basket with fries & my husband ordered the hot ham & cheese with fries. The hot ham & cheese was your average grilled cheese with a protein. Nothing special. The burger was good, but nothing special there either. You'll notice that the other half of the menu is all. ice. cream. Just options and options of different ways to order your ice cream; the flavors are listed on the wall, not on the menu. They are happy to make any changes or customizations to your ice cream order. IMO the menu was overwhelming with no easy way to sort or compare options, so it needs an overhaul in the way it's presented. We ended up getting the #13, Sweet Superstitions, with the flavors Moose Tracks & chocolate peanut butter ice cream scoops. Again, nothing special here; the two cherries promised in the menu was just one cherry cut in half, and the peanuts were stale. The fudge wasn't hot either. For a place called Big Scoop, we got pretty small scoops of ice cream. When we checked out at the counter, Kate helped us out again. She was very encouraging and was so excited to have us in town for the tulip festival. I hope Kate gets a raise or goes far in life! Overall, a fun memory but an underwhelming experience in terms of service and flavor.

History: I stopped drinking milk (cow's) 20yrs ago, it was only after I researched goat's milk and talked with St. John's Creamery, I decided to give it a try. I've been an athlete most of my life and have studied cutting-edge sports nutrition most of my athletic career but was uninformed regarding the benefits of raw goats milk. I spent over $500 on various high-end brands of probiotics and saw no noticeable benefit. I decided to look for something else and that is when I came across a small article mentioning the benefits of goat's milk. After additional in depth research, I began searching for a local goat's milk dairy. I contacted St. John's Creamery; the owner, Marcia St. John, confirmed the information I had researched and invited me to visit the dairy. Seattle Area Dairy History: The Seattle area has lost track of its roots and most city dwellers and surrounding communities are completely unaware that north and east of Seattle, there were 100's of dairy farms. Dairy farms are just that "farms" and as such you will encounter mud, dirt, cattle, goats, farming equipment, dogs, chickens, ducks, geese and devoted tireless hard-working farmers, like St. John Creamery. Top Five Priorities: St. John's Creamery and other dairy farmers' primary focus and 24x7 commitment to quality products is: #1 Consumer Safety #2 Animal Health & Safety, #3 Environment, #4 commitment to government regulations adherence and #5 employees and other business aspects. My Experience: I noticed significant positive benefits to drinking raw goat's milk. I now drink one or two glasses of goats milk a day (AM/PM), my digestion has completely normalized (miracle). Goat's milk is not sweet, like cow's milk - I believe this may be because goat's milk is more alkaline. I adapted to the taste of goats milk very quickly, given all of the benefits I've observed personally it is the best decision I ever made. Raw Goats Milk Health Benefits: https://healthyfocus.org/benefits-goat-milk/ I highly recommend goat's milk and give St. John's Creamery my highest recommendation.
