Judy is the best!!!!! She is really very talented. My brows look amazing!!! I'm a happy and forever client

This review is long overdue! I got my eyebrows microbladed by Judy back in October. I won the Instagram contest that she held and was able to bring a friend. My whole experience with Judy was easy and fantastic from beginning until now! To say the least, she is understanding, caring, professional, and is an expert at her craft. I had to reschedule our original session due to last minute circumstances and Judy was more than understanding. The day of getting my eyebrows microbladed, she made sure I was happy with the shape she had designed for me before proceeded. During the part she was microblading my brows, i actually fell asleep! Also, she plays the jams! If you're into the late 90s-early 2000s music. After completing the process, Judy took the time to explain the aftercare instructions, asked if I had any questions, and said to contact her if I have any concerns later on. Since our first session, I have gone back for a touch up. After both times, Judy has reached out to follow up with me. This has shown to me that, she is genuine and cares about the happiness of her clients. In so many words, I 100% recommend anyone looking to get their eyebrows done (microbladed or any other service), to go to Judy! I absolutely love my eyebrows!!! read more

So this is a long overdue review that I thought was posted . But, Judy is phenomenal did an amazing job on my brows. I've had my brows done twice and I would say hers came out the best. I'm still trying to figure out how to avoid the color getting that ashy grey color but looks like I just need a touch up soon. read more

I have been drawing in my eyebrows for about like 8 years. I love the full and dark eyebrow look. I had been researching a few places to get my eyebrows microbladed but the price (and the commitment of getting semi permanent eyebrows) always steered me. I found Effortless PMU on IG and I read the reviews on yelp and I decided to give it a try since she was located close to me and the price was great! I DM'd Judy on IG and I sent her a picture of my natural eyebrows and how they look when I fill them in and she suggested I get the "Ombré/shading" procedure since the makeup look is what I'm going for. I was still hesitant when arriving to my appointment because I like my eyebrows dark and shaped and I didn't know if she could get them to how I like them. Judy outlined my shape and I loved it! She did them just how I love them! The procedure wasn't painful because she used a numbing cream. The healing process took no more than a week and Judy gives you everything you need for a great healing experience! She provides you with cleaning instructions, gels, lotion and even some sterile q-tips! I loved my eyebrows soooo much!! I'm so happy I went with Judy! My eyebrows lightened a bit with the peeling from my healing (which is normal that's why you get a touch up)and during my touch up I told Judy my concerns and she darkened my brows and they turned out amazing!! They didn't peel much the second time around :) I loved my microblading/ombré experience!! I definitely recommend Effortless PMU to all my friends and all of you ! read more

It was my first time microblading and I was nervous about it because I didn't know what to expect. Judy has done a great job explaining everything that was to be done and she made sure I was not in pain every part of the procedure. Her techniques made the hairstrokes on my brows look really natural and realistic. I haven't told anyone that I had my brows did and so far no one could tell because it looks so natural. I wished I had got them done sooner! When she was done with my brows, she gave me a "after care kit" to bring home. I liked that she provided it in a nice cute packaging. Overall, I highly recommend Judy. I didn't really feel pain at all, rather just slight stings from the pigment being applied after the open wounds from microblading. It was a very pleasurable experience. Can't wait for them to heal! read more

I was recommended to see Judy through my friend Christy. I am so glad to have my first ombre brow experience with her! From start to finish, Judy was professional and informative. During my initial consultation, she was honest with her recommendations for my brows and also took the time to listen to my eyebrow needs/goals. I appreciated her texts to follow up with how I was doing, even after my touch up appointment. She was also very throrough in explaining the healing process and aftercare. I knew exactly what to expect. After my brows healed I loved how natural they looked and how much time it saved me in the morning!! :D I initially just wanted to try out ombre to see if I'll like it, but after my experience with her I will be doing this again....and I will not go to anyone else! My mom now wants to go to her too! Thank you so much Judy!!! :) read more

Judy's class at effortless PMU academy was absolutely amazing. I did a lot of research before going to her and honestly 5 days with her was not enough because she's such an amazing life coach as well. It's definitely a lot of information, but she broke it down very well. I think before anyone look anywhere, you should take the beginner class with her. There's just no way you can learn what you need on a online class or a one day class. You can tell she cares about her students and their future clients. Not only she covered so many important things that's essential to any PMU artist, but also provided us with the best tools to succeed. It was definitely not the cheapest class but definitely one of the best. The material along cost like half of the tuition and that how I know she doesn't care about the money rather the value you take away from it. I really enjoyed her class and she will be the first person I recommend anyone who's thinking to try out permanent makeup! read more

I was really nervous to get these done but Judy took really great care of me and she was very patient and understanding. They look way better than I was expecting! She really takes her time to perfect your brows. At the beginning I had soooo many questions and she really took the time to answer them all and help me become confident in this decision. Getting my eyebrows ombred was by far one of the best decisions I've made! I was nervous and hesitant about it at first, because tattoos on your face... But Judy made the whole process so easy, convenient, and comfortable for me and I have no regrets! It's been such a game changer waking up everyday and not having to worry about my brows before going about my day. Judy is extremely skilled, knowledgeable, and personable and makes you feel so relaxed throughout the whole process. I highly recommend anybody thinking about getting their eyebrows ombred or microbladed -- definitely go with Judy and Effortless PMU! You won't regret it! (: read more

I saw Judy's work on Instagram and was immediately drawn to the soft and natural work she's known for. I made an appointment and was very nervous about getting PMU for the first time, but Judy was able to calm my nerves and knew exactly what I wanted. I didn't feel any pain throughout the process, she was very gentle and accommodating. I'm happy with the results and even happier not having to fill in my brows everyday! I just had a touch-up for my eyeliner and eyebrows. I didn't think she could improve on either one since everybody tells me both procedures came out perfectly. But she did something magical, now everybody tells me I look more alert and more relaxed and rested. The color blending is amazing. No more angry scowling brows or thin uneven penciling. I just get up, shower, slather on some SPF, and I'm ready for work. Her place is bright, cheery, and clean. It is an upbeat and soothing environment. The products are top notch, name brand, and equipment is sterilized between clients. She only sees one person at a time, so you don't feel pressured or rushed. The only downside is the steep climb up the stairs. But, it's good for those thunder thighs.... read more

Judy and i decided to do "shading" or "powder brow" for my eyebrows and it's probably one of the best decisions I've ever made. I had microblading done by my previous artist and shading is so much more full and defined than the blading which suits my lifestyle much better. I'm so happy i found an artist who is honest and really thinks in my best interest. My brows are fully healed and look SO NATURAL. She expertly ombré'd my brows just the way i like them and perfected the shape. 10/10 recommend Judy for permanent make up and will be returning for touch ups in the future. I get so many compliments on my brows and i feel so beautiful even with my bare makeup less face. Thank you thank you judyyy!!! read more

I searched on Yelp and realized Judy had great reviews. I scheduled appointment with Judy for my mom. My mom had a bad experience with another place for her eyebrows. Judy did an awesome job on my mom eyebrows (fix them). My mom was very happy with the results. I appreciate Judy taking time to use a measuring device to ensure they were balanced. Judy made them absolutely perfect and color matched well with her skin. Now my mom has amazing brows. July was very friendly, experiences, and reliable. She really takes her time and did such a great job (incredibly detailed). I definitely recommend her to anyone. Thank you very much for all your work!!! read more

JUDY IS AMAZING!... I had a huge scar on my eyebrow my whole life that I was insecure about but Judy covered it up so well my friends forget I used to have a scar. I don't know why I took so long to get my brows microbladed! I guess I was worried something bad might happen, who knows? Luckily I found the right place after doing some extensive research online. Selena did my brows and I couldn't be happier with the results. From the moment I booked my appointment through post recovery, she and her team were available to answer any questions. When I arrived I found a pleasant/clean space and felt very comfortable with Selena. She has a gentle touch and was very easy to talk with which is a bonus when you're lying down during the procedure for awhile haha. You wouldn't notice that she is one of the younger artists at this studio from her work. Her positive/calm presence made the whole process seamless. She also made sure I was happy with the color, I asked for a touch darker at my follow up session and she was happy to accomodate and mentioned I could come back if it still wasn't right. Check out their IG page and you can see all the beautiful work Selena has done! I highly recommend PMU and will be coming back for touch ups in the future. read more

Judy is amazing! Her work is natural and beautiful! I had come across her from searching on Instagram and what you see is definitely what you get. I searched many sites/Instagram pages before I narrowed it down to her. For me, she showed the most natural looking eyebrows and simplicity. When I got there her studio is clean and spacious which made me feel comfortable because of the whole Covid thing. It was just her and I in the studio. Before we got started she had a questionnaire form to kind of get to know you kinda thing and one of the questions stood out to me..."what makes you feel the most beautiful?" initially I didn't answer it, but at the end of our session and a couple days after, I woke up feeling the most beautiful because I didn't have to fill in my eyebrows with makeup anymore and I don't feel rushed. I just get ready and go! The best part is it looks so natural which is just me in general...keeping it simple. There's 2 sessions, 1st to just outline and shape they way you want your eyebrows to be and then 6wks later to shade it in. It didn't hurt at all...she explained it well of what I would be feeling. I just ended up falling asleep during the session. Lol If you like your eyebrows to be simple and natural I highly recommend Judy! She's great and explains it very well. She also checks up on you to see how your healing process is. I love that she cares about her clients and wants to give the best for them! Thankyou Judy for your great work! read more

Judy is AMAZING!!! I hesitated getting my eyebrows done because I've always been particular about them. Upon meeting her she made me feel at ease as she took her time drawing them until I felt comfortable with the shape before she started. I ended up getting an ombré brow because I do like them a bit darker and I have oily skin. I absolutely love them. My healing process was fast. I barely had any itching and very little scabbing. Judy kept checking in to make sure everything was healing fine. If you have been contemplating getting your eyebrows done, do it, and go to Judy. You'll wonder why you waited so long. It'll be a game changer for your morning routine and for the weekends when you don't want to wear any makeup. My eyebrows are so amazing thanks to Judy. read more

Judy is amazing & I couldn't be happier with how my brows turned out! As soon as I got to the salon, Judy greeted me and told me how the procedure would go. She spent a lot of time perfecting the outline of my brows to make sure they were even, identical, and proportionate to my face. I told her I wanted a very natural/slight arch and she gave me just that! Initially, I was a little worried because I'm used to having straight brows but I'm very happy with my results. She definitely has an eye for what eyebrow shape suits people's faces. Make sure you arrive on time because the entire procedure takes approximately 2 hours! :) read more

Judy is amazing at eyebrow tattooing! She made my eyebrows look so natural and dark enough, that there are some days I don't even draw it in. It was easy to make an appointment with her via text, and she was patient to discuss the type of color and style I wanted for the shape of my brows. She helped correct the orange-brownish tint (tattooed from someone else previously) that did not match my natural color. The color, length and thickness was just what I wanted! Her price was very competitive compared to other artists in the greater LA area and she offers a free touch up, about 4 weeks after the first procedure. She also gives a fancy aftercare kit and follows up through text after your procedure, to make sure everything is ok. Definitely recommend Judy if you want quality work from an artist who won't take any shortcuts! read more

Your brows will be in the best hands. Semi-permanent makeup has been on trend for several years now but I never brought myself to hop on the bandwagon because I thought drawing in my brows everyday isn't that big of a deal. I obviously don't know what the heck I was thinking! Those 5 minutes I save in every morning rush is absolutely essential! That is also why you have to pick the best makeup artist to tattoo/micro blade your brows so you know you look put together when you dash out that door and into the grind. I love how Judy takes the time to access your skin and face to recommend the best method for your brows. I know that microblading is all the rage right now, but it wouldn't work out for me due to my oily skin/big pores. However, if you have the right skin type, her combo brows (microblading plus shading) are absolutely stunning! If you have any doubts or concerns, Judy is super knowledgeable at what she does. She's also a perfectionist with your brows; she won't start with the process until she has made sure that your brows look fabulous at all angles, eyes opened or closed. I didn't know until I did this that I have one pesky eyebrow that automatically raises when my eyes are opened and that completely threw off the levels of my brows. Don't worry, if you have the same issue, Judy will make sure your brows don't look like you're permanently curious when your eyes are opened or closed. For my brows, we did ombré shading. I personally prefer the softer, fuller look of Korean brows, so that's what Judy gave me. My photo shows my brows around 4 weeks after the first shading. It's much lighter than when it was healing so don't be alarmed if they look super dark when they're scabbed over. It took about 2 weeks for mine to completely heal. I think the end result is just perfect for my everyday minimal makeup look. I still need my first touch up and I can't wait! read more

My minimal makeup routine was sunscreen and doing my eyebrows. I wanted to minimize that routine even more with permanent makeup. I've never had any type of procedure done like this before so I requested that Judy do my ombré brows since she is a senior artist. I brought my eyebrow makeup and told her I wanted a natural look. It was exactly what I wanted. The procedure was painless. I'm so happy I found Judy. The process was easy and comfortable. Judy is THEE microblading lady you need in your life. I got my eyebrows done about 10 months ago from another lady and they had faded in the inner corners. I had to fill them in just so they would match my face with makeup. She saw a picture of them and told me to wait a few more months before even touching my brows. Finally, it was time for my appt. and she took her time to make them absolutely perfect. She drew some in, erased, and repeated until both her and I both gave the okay. The procedure was PAINLESS for me. I know this because I fell asleep twice! I basically woke up and my brows were just perfect! She fixed the shape, really made the lines look natural and I couldn't be happier. The healing process was easy...no patchy peeling. She gives you an ointment to put on with instructions as well. She is a true gem. Thank you Judy!! read more

I'm loving the shape of my new eyebrows. Judy took her time creating the shape and making sure my eyebrow shape was how I wanted them. She even checked to make sure my eyebrows looked good/don't move when I smiled. My previous pmu lady didn't do that. I got the combo brow over my old very faded microblading since I have skin on the oily side/large pores. I hope the color stays on better this time. I'm excited to see the final results. P.S. she's located in the back of Spades Nail salon read more

Judy is the best! If your looking for more of a natural look she's the artist to go to! I had wing eyeliner done and ombre brows just to darken my natural brows. Love that I can now just get up and go and not have to worry about not looking pulled together. She's very gentle and tries to make you comfortable through the whole thing. I also appreciate that Judy will call or text to check in on you after the procedure and answer any questions you have. read more

I LOVE my eyebrows! Judy was amazing throughout the progress. She took her time to draw your perfect brows, which took about an hour! She'll let you see the brows before microblading them to see if you're happy with them. My brows came out nice, it's dark at first which is to be expected since you'll go through a healing process that includes scabbing. But my eyebrows are healing nicely and it's looking wonderful. I love waking up in the morning without having to worry about my eyebrows since I never did anything to them and I'm horrible at drawing my brows And the process didn't hurt much at all, between 2 to 3 on a scale of 10. I like how Judy would follow up with you to see how you're healing goes. I adore her and her work! Judy is the person to go to get your microblading done! For sure I'll be coming back to her for touch ups in the future! read more

LOVE my brows so much!!!! Judy did the combo style brows for me. A mixture of microblading in the front and shading for the rest. I can't wait to see how it heals. Judy was very diligent from designing my brows to making sure im comfortable throughout the entire process. She was also very thorough with explaining the after care process for me since I my skin required extra care. I love my new shape and she gave me a little "brow lift" to give me a younger look. I've previously done shading and microblading in the past. The great thing about new pmu, it fades over time so I can get a newly shaped brow. She seems to be a master in blending the new color and shape with the old one. I'm very pleased and can't wait to post a healed pic and the final touch up. Stay tuned! read more

Judy is amazing at what she does! Go to her if you rlly want brows on fleek. :) I'll admit I was very hesitant to do any kind of semi permanent tattoo on my face, however, after seeing all her before and after work, I was intrigued! Also, I have friends who have gotten tattooed brows and rave abt their super quick makeup routines post procedure and that didn't sound half bad. It definitely has minimized my time getting ready in the morning! If you're looking for a more natural look I would recommend microblading which is what I got. But ask Judy, cus she can give you a reco. During the actual procedure I was totally at ease the whole time thanks to her. She takes time to frame the brows before you get started so you know exactly what your shape will be too. She's just an expert makeup artist which is super important for someone whose abt to tattoo your face! Just try reaching out to her to ask any questions if you're interested. read more

I am so happy with the result that Judy did to my eyebrow. She has a good eye and technique. Highly recommended if you need to get your eyebrow done with semi permanent tattoo. I've gotten my eyebrows microbladed 2 years ago somwhere else but it faded away and needed a touch up. Judy has exceptional eye for how the brows frame your face and works with you to get the desired shape. I was indecisive about my shape because my natural brow has a a little more of an arch, but I've been drawing my eyebrows on the straighter side. She created a shape that would highlight my natural arch while lifting the inner parts of my eyebrows up to maintain the straighter brow look I liked. First she put on the numbing cream and she made sure I had a good amount of time with it before she started the microblading process (in the past I've had the numbing cream for a short amount of time that during the microblading I could feel it wearing off). As she was microblading she was always asking me how the pain was and how I was doing. Honestly because of the numbing cream, it just felt like pressure or someone drawing with a lot of pressure on your brows. Her hands were very gentle with moving my head and she was so skilled at her technique. Funny thing that happened was that I had a long night and morning the day of the appointment that I started to fall asleep a little because I was a little too relax from the numbing cream. She stopped and asked me if I was falling alseep, because people tend to twitch in their sleep and then I made a conscious effort to stay awake for the rest of the appointment. She provided an aftercare ointment to put on daily and checks up on me to make sure the eyebrows are healing properly. I've gotten so many compliments on the shape and everyone has been asking me where I got it done. I definitely will be referring all of my not as blessed fellow brows friends to her. She's sweet, informative, and most importantly, truly cares about her client's experience. Go get your eyebrows done by her!!! :) read more

Judy is so sweet and ahh-mazing at what she does. She's informative and knowledgeable about the products and techniques she uses. As an avid social media user, I saw the terms microblading and ombré shading used often. I was in love with how the microblading brows look but Judy informed me that since I have big pores, microblading won't last on me and suggested I go for ombré shading. (Microblading tends to bleed more from its line if you have big pores aka oily skin!) I trust Judy and I'm so glad I went with her for my brows. It has saved me so much time in the morning and I went swimming and vacay without worrying about them! Say whaaa! Thanks again Judy, I can't wait for my touch up! read more

Whoever said, "Your eyebrows are sisters, not twins," was seriously disturbed. Just kidding... kind of. Why can't our brows be symmetrical and beautiful? Spoiler: They can. Judy is not only super knowledgeable, kind, and caring, but she is just really, really talented at what she does. She's led a team of experts who clearly know and love what they are doing. Sure, you can get your brows done anywhere--but why not go with someone you can trust and love, like Effortless PMU? In the words of Nike (that logo is a brow and you know it), just do it. I found Judy on IG a couple of years ago and made sure I followed her, I also looked around my area to make sure I was going to the right person. I finally took my chances and got my eyebrows done after being tired of my really light eyebrow hair. I must say Judy did not disappoint. I got my brows done in Jan/Feb and I wanted to wait a couple of months to write the review. It's June 2022 now and my eyebrows are still really nice. The facility it self is very clean and professional, my cousin came with me because we are always together, she was able to sit and wait for me on their comfortable couch. Judy explained everything to me, she even asked me if I wanted her to change anything about my outline before she started. The procedure it self was very smooth I had very little pain, she put numbing cream. The brow pain was basically painless to me. Judy and her staff are very welcoming an professional. Her facility is bright and very clean. I'd say I had a very good experience. Judy did an amazing job, I still get compliments on my brows with no makeup on. She knows what she's doing. Judy is an absolute gem and even though there was some minor pain she went ahead and helped by waiting for it to numb out. She told me that extra numbing does make her job harder and as my brow and face was asymmetrical and I have a natural inability to really relax my brows there were some issues. Despite this, the results are absolutely wonderful! I was so impressed! Last but not least, I hope her daughter is feeling better as she took her day out to take care of clients despite her ill little one! That is absolute dedication so be good and don't be a no show! read more
