Considering the 5 star reviews Rusty has...I expected top notch service. However, my experience was a shame. I ended up booking an appointment with Rusty for a quote on interior/exterior painting on my house. I confirmed with him a couple days before hand and he was a no show! Well, luckily I had backup and we hired a different company to do the work. I would've totally understood if he had to reschedule but no text/call/show. Not very professional! In a review of the most unprofessional painter I have ever meet. We have hand nothing but problems with "Rusty" since day one. He never finished the job and when you call him to finish he says I cant cause I have a job that pays more. Who does that? Well, you should have showed up more than 4 hrs a day and not three days a week. He hounds you for progress payments. Then you give him money and would not show up for 3 days. He went as low as saying he could not feed him family unless I gave him more money. I gave him 75% of the money and would not give him the rest tell the house was complete.Now I got a letter from Sherwin-Williams that they have put a mechanics lien on my house cause he never paid the paint bills. What a mess. Like I said some people should not have a business if you cannot even keep your self accountable for your own actions. read more

Excellent work! We recently hired Rusty and Effex Painting to paint the exterior of our two-story house, our pergola and the shed. WOW!!!! Effex Painting is by far the best painting service around town! Rusty (the owner) personally came to our auto body shop one day prior to discuss the different color options that we had available. Together we picked out the colors, he then explained the different types of paint textures to choose from. The next day he was able to move all of our furniture, statues, frames, decor, etc., before painting our office walls (which was extremely helpful)! We just has Effex paint the outside of our house and detached shop building and we couldn't be happier with the experience and the excellent results. We have a large one story house with red cedar siding on the front and partially on the sides and all around on the shop building and stucco on the rest of the house. Our house was in bad shape with cracked lap siding and cracked stucco. The wood window and door trim needed caulking badly and the roof rafters needed a lot of work. Rusty and his crew power washed the buildings, replaced and repaired the caulking and cracks and did a complete step by step "restoration" before priming and painting. They took their time and inspected every step of the way to make sure that all areas were covered and all steps were done correctly. Rusty worked with us on selecting accent colors and changed directions a few times at our request. We can step back and look at a better than new house and are totally satisfied with the professional work at a very reasonable price and the friendly and courteous staff, we would highly recommend Rusty Floris and Effex Painting. read more
