Mexican mocha (left) and toffee iced coffee (right) with blueberry scone
Nishalina B.

This place doesn't have a menu, you just ordered whatever you want! Definitely feel the home-iness to this place. Mexican mocha was really good! Got it with oat milk. And the toffee latte was good as well. Got it with almond milk. The scones are homemade.

Apple turnover - u don't know what u r missing

Nothing like a corner store when it comes to quality delicious food. I am glad I tried the Apple Turnover. He did tell me that he makes his own stuff and I believe him as no mass production can deliver food that tastes this good. Recipe is so unadulterated. Be it the Wooey taste of egg and flour in the interior or taste of cinnamon and sugar on top. It is a class apart uncontaminated culinary skills. The apple slices in the filling were delicious by themselves and the their velvety texture was pure awesome. This is what is called as country cooking or ranch cooking so hearty. I am a coffee lover and I am not into specialty drinks. He has one Oregon chai. I always go for strong robust flavors he has out as soon as one enters they can spot. Very warm and considerate service. The place has a chilled pub like seating.

Where have we been? This coffee place has been in our hood for a long time and we just got to try it pretty recently. We were super impressed with the high rating on Yelp so we tried it and indeed Edwin does deserve this high rating. Came in on a Friday morning. There were a few patrons but basically all through out the time we were there, customers are lining up for their coffee to go. Edwin, the owner was by himself but he was a PRO for handling each customers needs. We got a chance to chat with him and learned that he bought the business some 19 years ago. He was inspired by Italians to provide patrons with coffee that is definitely worth coming back for. During this visit we ordered the following: 1. Large latte for the hubby 2. Cappuccino for me 3. Three berry white chocolate chip scone 4. Cheese jalapeño pastry from the "day old" display case - which was sold for cheaper price We didn't know that we can actually order his quiche until we asked him so we had 2 to go as follows: Breakfast and Jalapeño cheese quiche. It's not on display but is available daily. Parking is not a problem. Located in the corner of sunset and fairway drive. Definitely the best coffee in town!

$2.10 for Day old pastries (Jalapeño Cheese Turnover)

We were looking for another coffee place to hang out for breakfast. This shop popped out after a quick Yelp search with 4.7 stars from 300+ reviews. Came in on a Friday morning to the mostly empty Fairway Downs strip mall. Edwin was buzzing serving clients by himself. With less than a 5 minute wait, he asked us if we had any questions. After answers were given, he gave me a plate to put my Cheese Jalapeño pastry from the "Day Old" display case. My wife opted for the Three Berry White Chocolate Chip Scone. Our hot beverages would be a Large Latte and Cappuccino. After finishing our delicious pastries and having our generously portioned go juice poured in paper cups, we added on slices of the Breakfast and Jalapeño Cheese Quiche. FYI. He doesn't have them on display but it's always available. Edwin's has been in business for 19 years now and this is our first time in this "hole in the wall" cafe. He told us that after buying this business from his employer, he learned roasting beans from the Italians. He sells them for $19 a pound. I told him, I've found my new coffee shop. So glad we discovered this gem so close to our house.

Blueberry muffin & sugar free mocha

Love Edwin's. I've been coming here for 8+ years and it's still my favorite coffee shop in placer. Ed is so kind and always remembers me, my kids love coming here. My favorite drink is an iced Americano with some sugar-free mocha and then I put a tiny splash of half-and-half. It's the perfect level of sweetness, he always accommodate if I ask for half decaf. The kids got a blueberry muffin this time and they loved it so much that We got another one. They also got their own milks. The ambiance is great, with indoor and outdoor seating. I love that it feels comfortable and very much like "home". Comfy couches if you need to work, or tables inside and out.

Iced Pistachio Oatmilk Latte

One of the best Pistachio Latte i've ever tasted. Quality of the coffee is so good. Will be back again!

Awesome selection and service! The warm selection of breakfast was also very good. I ordered the breakfast quiche, which looks amazing. I'll be back for sure.

I'm convinced that in heaven, Edwin is the only barista and the beds are made of his gluten free quiche. Would wrap myself in the crust like it's a blanket. The little eggs as pillows. So steamy and warm.

Large iced oatmilk latte with brown sugar and vanilla

Was in the area for lunch and needed a coffee. Didn't even know Edwin's was here. There is no posted menu or pricing list but they can make anything. My go-to is an ice oatmilk latte with brown sugar and vanilla syrups. It was perfectly flavored and creamy. My companion had an iced mocha and said it was one of the best he's had. Can't wait to come back and sit on the patio.

A true gem in this neighborhood! The ambiance reminded me of walking into my grandparents house, so cozy and welcoming and warm. The owner is incredibly nice and gave amazing service. You can tell that community is important to Edwin. Also, he roasts his own coffee!! And it is delicious! Truly impressed as I am someone who has worked in coffee for years. We will definitely be back and I will be recommending it to everyone I know.

They didn't load it up with ice like most do. Overall, would go back but probably wouldn't crave it too often. It's more creamier than it is fruity which I don't always lean towards. Also, not as strong caffeine wise. The service itself was fine. I do agree with the other reviews about the staffs attitude. The girl who took my order was kind and made our pup cup from scratch but as a whole, it feels like they took the girls who worked at Brandy Melville and placed them here instead.

I'll be honest, the Ethiopian I started with wasn't really showing how I expected. It felt a little muted and flat to me. But here's where it flipped, he actually checked back in, asked what I thought, and instead of brushing it off, he was like "yeah... you're right." That alone tells you a lot. He pivoted and brewed up a Mexican that absolutely slapped. Clean, expressive, way more dialed. From there we just geeked out for a bit talking single origins, roasting approaches, equipment, all of it. That level of awareness and willingness to adjust in real time is rare, and it's what makes a place worth coming back to. I'm really interested to see how he continues to shape the program here. This feels like a shop that's still evolving in a good way.

I was honestly so excited to go to this place. This coffee bar is actually quite hidden, as they are located right behind the Village General Store on Vernon. There's quite a bit of parking when the storefront is closed, so you wouldn't even expect a wait at all. They have such a spacious patio as well (if you want to sit down and have a good time chatting it up with your other friends), and such big space to wait if you don't want the patio. I got one of their oatmeal cookies as well as their Matcha lattes. What I didn't know was that their oatmeal cookies were gluten free, and they were sourced and made locally by artisans here in Roseville. They also used quite premium-grade matcha that made it taste really good with the whole milk they mixed in eventually. The ambiance and the hospitality was one of the best out there, and I can't wait to be back the next time I'm in Sacramento!

As I was walking the halls, I realized I needed a little pick-me-up. I'm new to the coffee world, still in my cappuccino-with-vanilla era on this early caffeine journey, so I decided to see what this place was about. Glad I did. The moment you walk in, it's clean, bright, and welcoming. Plenty of spots to sit, relax, or even crack open your laptop and get some things done without feeling rushed. The layout gives off that perfect balance: chill enough to unwind, structured enough to be productive. Service was excellent and fast -- the kind where they actually pay attention, move with purpose, and make you feel like you matter. First and most important star: Pushkin's is predominantly vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free -- and bakeries that truly excel in all three are one in a million. For anyone with allergies or dietary restrictions, this place feels like winning the lottery. You can actually relax and enjoy treats without feeling like you're settling or taking a risk. Second star: the employees are incredibly friendly and genuinely passionate. One guy (nose ring, long blonde hair -- didn't catch his name) was amazing. He knew the pastries inside and out and patiently walked my wife through allergy questions about dairy-free options, putting her totally at ease. And trust me, my wife can ask a thousand questions (till u wanna choke her).. Another employee -- a short, curly-haired, very light-skinned/mixed Black woman -- was just as gracious when we asked about cashews for our daughter. Both of them were beyond kind and knowledgeable. Third star: great coffee. I only had an Americano, but it was really good -- smooth, rich, and exactly what you want with pastries like these. Fourth star: the place is clean, organized, and clearly well-run. It was busy, but the team handled the crowd efficiently without feeling rushed or chaotic. Fifth star (the fun one): the pastries are ridiculously good. We tried a bunch: * chocolate mud cookie -- perfect crunch on the outside, chewy inside * cinnamon-roll-style pound cake -- super moist and flavorful * cinnamon roll scone * almond cake with raspberry ...and several others I didn't catch the names of. Everything was delicious. You'd never guess these are vegan/gluten-free/dairy-free -- they're just straight-up amazing pastries. Bottom line: Pushkin's is a gem. If you have dietary restrictions, it's a must-visit. If you don't, are you sure you don't? Maybe you should? it's still a must-visit. We'll absolutely be back when in town to check out the cafe and real food items !
